“We had a wonderful experience! Cocoa was so well cared for, and it was clear he felt happy, comfortable, and loved. Their whole family, including the kids, was involved in caring for him, which made for such a warm and welcoming environment. We really appreciated the updates and the attention they gave him. We’d absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them!”

“Raj and family has been really kind and friendly. Took really good care of Luna, gave her lot of love and attention. They provided regular updates. I would use their services again. I think luna found a new home where she can be very comfortable.”

“Highly recommend! William hosted my diabetic/blind senior doggy and took such good care of him. William is very detail oriented, asked great questions showing he truly cares. He sent regular updates, went above and beyond making sure my dog eats and made me feel better about leaving him behind. Pugsy will definitely be coming back! Thanks William!”

“I had a wonderful experience with this dog sitter! Communication was excellent throughout my trip, and I received daily updates and pictures, which gave me great peace of mind. It was clear from the photos and updates that my dog was comfortable, happy, and well cared for. Knowing my dog was in such good hands made it much easier to relax while I was away. I will definitely be booking with them again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter”

“10-out-of-10 WILL RECOMMEND! Did a introduction a few weeks prior to the date and on sight my babies ran to Margarita! Like these little Cavapoos dragged me with the strength of pits trying to get to her! Her smile and laughter is so infectious, I could see why they were drawn to her! On their drop-off, from the moment they got out of the car, I was a nobody! I didn't know weather to be hurt or relived. I decided to choose relief! I watched my babies walk into Margarita's home as if they lived there! I received updates on their sleep time and on pick-up, they were very happy to have made a amazing friend in her and her entire family! I will use her again and again and am very grateful for the care and love she showed my babies!”

“I 100% recommend Dhruvit and his amazing family! They’re super friendly and incredibly patient with dogs — you can really feel how much they care. From the start, they were happy to set up a meet and greet so we could get to know each other, which made us feel very comfortable right away. Elsa had the best time staying with them — she was happy and well taken care of the whole time! Dhruvit sent us lots of photos and always replied really quickly, which made us feel super reassured. He also paid close attention to Elsa’s habits and followed all our instructions perfectly. Elsa is a super high-energy dog who needs lots of exercise, and Dhruvit made sure she got plenty of walks and playtime every day. We’re so glad we found them! They’re truly wonderful people, and we’d definitely love to book with them again in the future.”

“We had Dobby stayed with Jessica and her husband for 10 days. They really made sure Dobby took his time to get comfortable at their home, and he did! We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing Dobby was in good hands! We are very grateful to have Jessica around. She is our go-to and trusted person now when it comes to boarding for Dobby. Thank you Jessica!”

She was incredibly accommodating and kept me updated every day with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. Bourbon is a puppy with a ton of energy, and she handled him so well. I could tell he was happy, well cared for, and getting all the attention he needed. I would 100% recommend Luciana to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter. She is truly amazing!”

“This was the first time Joey was staying at Tanvi’s place and he loved it. We were initially a bit worried, as this was a 14 day trip and Joey hadn’t stayed with any sitter for this long, but Joey had a blast. We got daily pictures and videos of Joey as well. I would highly recommend Tanvi.”

“Noria was fantastic with my dog Nala. She boarded her in her home and made sure Nala had lots of fun and was well cared for. Norias love for animals shows through in all she does while caring for my puppy. Noria is very enthusiastic, warm and caring. I would highly recommend her services.”

Shannon was AMAZING with our pup! She sent us pics and funny updates throughout his stay, which made me feel so comfortable knowing that he was being taken cared of. She took him on tons of walks and to the fenced in dog park. She also let him make himself comfy on her couch and bed so he was cozy. I would definitely recommend Shannon and will definitely book with her again if she is available.

Our dog Oreo had a wonderful stay! Firdavs was very communicative and provided regular updates on Oreo daily with pictures; he enjoyed his time there very much and was happy the entire time. We really appreicated the excellent care and would highly recommend!
We can't thank Jacqueline enough for being able to watch Sedona on short notice. You were wonderful to go through her care instructions so thoroughly and for you and Mimi to welcome her into your home and shower her with loving care. All of the photos and updates were much appreciated!

Shreena took amazing care of Omy again! This time Omy stayed with her for an entire month, and everything was perfect. She treated him like her own, kept him happy and comfortable, and gave regular updates. At the end, she even gave him a bath which was such a nice touch — he came back super clean and fresh. Overall, we were very happy and will definitely book with her again!

Such a wonderful experience with Doug and Michelle. My very anxious dog looked relaxed and at home in every picture. Communication was easy and thorough. My pup's complicated medication and treat schedule were followed perfectly!! I very highly recommend this sitter!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
