“Recently went on vacation and Nikki and Rick took excellent care of Raven. We received pics n videos of her having a fun time and was able to relax and enjoy a few days away without worrying about our lil princess Raven. It was the first time we were away from her for more than 1 night. So grateful for having them care for her.”

“Ekaterina was amazing with Zoey! She gave me lots of updates and took such great care of her. She did an amazing job and her kids were so gentle with Zoey too! During Zoey’s stay, she had to take medication and was healing from a cut on her leg - Ekaterina did an amazing job making sure she was being cared for properly. I would love for her to watch Zoey in the future again!”

“Jessica is amazing! I can’t say it enough. She is awesome with whiskey. He loves going over and staying with her. He plays all day and has a great time there! I never worry when he is with her! She is my go to person when we need for him to stay somewhere. Trust her fully!”

“Our dog Leo had a nice stay with Whitney & Michael while we were on a two week vacation. He enjoyed outdoor time in their fenced yard and having their family and other dogs to keep him company. The meet & greet was nice. The drop off and pick-up went smoothly. They provided some pics and updates to let us know he was doing well during his stay. He came back home healthy and happy. This was our first experience boarding him as he'd previously been able to stay with relatives and we were happy that it went so well. I would recommend Whitney & Michael to others looking for a nice, friendly, reliable place to board their dogs and expect Leo will be staying with them again the next time we go on vacation.”

“We left our dog Mia with Stephanie for one night and Stephanie was fantastic! Always stayed in contact with us providing us with updates and pictures. Stephanie was very caring and friendly!”

“Lucas and Katherine were phenomenal! They sent videos and pictures the entire time my baby was with them. You could tell they really love dogs and she was so happy to be with them. It was great to know that she was being well cared for and loved.”

About: I've been around dogs my entire life and have experience caring for a variety of breeds and sizes, from two Shih Tzus at the same time to a 90-pound Boxer, and now my lovable English Bulldog. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I'm comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and routines, and I understand the importance of providing pets with patience, attention, exercise, and lots of affection while their owners are away. I work from home Monday through Friday, which allows me to provide consistent attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. My schedule is flexible, and I'm available for early morning and evening walks, daytime boarding for pets with light activity needs, and boarding on weekends. I'm also available for weekday care and boarding after 5 PM. Because I'm home most of the day, pets can enjoy regular potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of affection in a calm, comfortable environment. Pets in my care are treated like family. I have a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor time and a friendly English Bulldog who gets along well with other pets. I typically accept dogs under 50 lbs but am happy to care for other pets as well. I have experience with puppies, senior pets, and pets with special needs, including administering medications when needed. For boarding, pets are rarely left alone for more than an hour, and I do my best to maintain their normal routines so they feel comfortable, safe, and stress-free while you're away.
About: The second I look at a dog or a cat, I feel my motherly instincts kick in!! I’m currently a per diem nurse and mental health therapist—giving me plenty of time to be home and love my babies. I noticed lot of pet owners via county pages on fb and I just want to be an extra help to my area while making annoying baby noises gawking at the cuteness of any fur baby. I do live with my morkie, Cinnabon who’s a sassy baby boy. And my partner has his cats, Cheesecake and Chandler Bing who are very friendly towards everyone. All my pets are healthy and on anti flea/tic medications! I work per diem as a nurse meaning my shifts are sparse and short- so I’m home 90% of the time. I love spending my free time with both cats and dogs and would love to meet yours! I have a small fenced yard that is regularly mowed and cleaned. I always replenish the water periodically. I keep my home tidy since I’m used to being around many animals at once. For baths, I either use my tub or the laundry sink basin for my own dog. As for cats, I do have the mesh bath bag that prevents them from clawing. I’m very gentle with my own pets!

“Monica has watched our fur baby more times than I can count! He knows when I pull up that he’s there and can’t wait to get in the house and be with her! She is always my first choice when I have to leave him for a few hours or for a week!”

“Mary was excellent with my dog for an overnight stay, she gave constant feed back and photos. I was most impressed was that she took the trouble to come to my house 2 days prior to know the dogs personality and get familiarised. I would definitely try Mary again and highly recommend her.”

“Very happy with Foxy first visit. Just as anyone, I was concerned leaving my dog in a new home, specially mine that is a bit scared of things and people. Charlene was very helpful explaining how things were going, how the adaptation was evolving, sending pictures and notes. Overall, extremely happy and I will leave my dog with her for another 2 weeks, which should speak by itself.”

About: I’ve taken care of my senior dog my whole life up until he unfortunately passed in 2018. After that many people in my personal life have trusted me with their dogs. I’m wonderful at giving baths and making sure the animals are watered and fed at an appropriate time. I’m still in high school so any time after 3 would be the perfect time to enjoy an evening with your pups and cheer both of us up. I also work part time in the weekends so any time after 6 would boost my energy up! My house is very pet friendly! I have many treats, toys, and essentials for dogs to go on many walks. My whole family loves animals would enjoy a furry friend in the house.
“Lulu and I met Ji and there was an instantly connection. As she had never met Ji and was in a different environment, Lulu seemed content. Ji kept me updated on Lulu’s adjustment, which stated was going well. I truly appreciate Ji being able to take care of Lulu on such a short notice. Hopefully in the future if needs arrives Ji will be able to take care of Lulu again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Edison
Shannon was AMAZING with our pup! She sent us pics and funny updates throughout his stay, which made me feel so comfortable knowing that he was being taken cared of. She took him on tons of walks and to the fenced in dog park. She also let him make himself comfy on her couch and bed so he was cozy. I would definitely recommend Shannon and will definitely book with her again if she is available.

We can't thank Jacqueline enough for being able to watch Sedona on short notice. You were wonderful to go through her care instructions so thoroughly and for you and Mimi to welcome her into your home and shower her with loving care. All of the photos and updates were much appreciated!

From the moment we met Kajal, her family, and her sweet dog Nala, we knew Toby was going to be in the best hands. She was incredibly attentive, caring, and proactive throughout the entire stay — sending regular updates, photos, and check-ins that gave us so much peace of mind while we were out of the country. What truly sets Kajal apart is how naturally she treats every dog like family. Toby has had sitters before, but we have never seen him this relaxed, happy, and at ease with anyone outside of home. He fit right in with Kajal's family and Nala, and honestly? He almost seemed a little sad to come back — which, as a pet parent, is the highest compliment you can give a sitter. It is incredibly rare to find someone who matches the love and care you pour into your own dog, and Kajal does exactly that. Toby is more than a pet to us he's family — and she treated him no differently. I would recommend Kajal without a single hesitation, not just for Toby, but for any dog lucky enough to stay with her. If you're looking for a sitter who will love your pup like their own, look no further!

Shreena took amazing care of Omy again! This time Omy stayed with her for an entire month, and everything was perfect. She treated him like her own, kept him happy and comfortable, and gave regular updates. At the end, she even gave him a bath which was such a nice touch — he came back super clean and fresh. Overall, we were very happy and will definitely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
