Life-long animal lover
I've always loved all animals since I was a kid but have a special affinity for dogs and cats. I lost my sweet pup, Ewan, in 2019 to Hemangiocarcoma (a blood cancer) and to this day I still mourn him and can feel his presence in my life. I also lost my dear cat, Figaro, last year to natural old age causes. I'm a very good dog and cat dad and miss them terribly. In the past few years, so many friends and family have asked me to pet sit their fur babies and they always remark that they know their dog or cat is in the best possible hands with me. That they can actually relax on their trip because of how responsible and devoted I am to their pets and how much their pets adore me. Everyone has been encouraging me to sign up for Rover and now I'm finally doing it! I honestly believe Ewan and Figaro guided me here in their own way to spend time with your beloved kiddos. I look forward to getting to meet you and your pets!

Ryan has been so patient and sweet with our anxious chihuahua, Pinto. Pinto is nervous around new people and Ryan was very patient allowing Pinto to warm up to him and not rushing him. Pinto now greets Ryan with excitement and loves the walks. Ryan is also dependable and communicative. Highly recommend!
Ryan is the BEST sitter!! My husband and I have always been very reluctant to let anyone take care of our pets, but Ryan goes above and beyond to make sure we feel comfortable and reassured while we’re away. He regularly sends us updates, pictures, and videos, which gives us so much peace of mind. We’ve been on two month-long trips, and Ryan has graciously stayed in our home to care for our 3 kitty cats. They’re very shy and usually take a while to warm up to people, but they took to Ryan SO quickly! They follow him around everywhere and absolutely love their cuddles with him now 🥹 We genuinely can’t imagine traveling without Ryan taking care of them. Knowing they’re happy, safe, and so well loved while we’re away gives us such incredible peace of mind. We’re so grateful for him and couldn’t recommend him enough!! ❤️

My sweet little pup, Mack, had seizures as early as two years old. He had seizures quite often. Over time, the veterinarian put him on a regimen of different prescription medications that made a big difference in his life. However, it required giving the various prescription medications to him three times a day. If somehow he was off his schedule, Mack would more likely have a full-out seizure. I was very grateful that Ryan was extremely responsible with following the vet’s directions. It’s a bit scary to leave Mack for a few days, but Ryan rose to the occasion extremely well while also giving the little guy loving tenderness. I highly recommend Ryan for the BEST care for your cherished pet.
Ryan is phenomenal with our pup, Lucy. She is a very particular, 11-year-old rescue. From the moment she met Ryan, it was so clear she was at ease and truly felt relaxed around him, which is incredibly rare for her. We trust that when Lucy is in Ryan's care, she's receiving so much love and attention. He is a wonderful steward of our home too and couldn't be a more caring and considerate guest and house sitter. Ryan understands that Lucy is our baby and takes care of her like we would! We're grateful for him!
Ryan is extremely responsible, dedicated, and careful. He has cared for my (very large) dog on many occasions, and always with love. He is communicative, adaptable, and a true animal person!

Schedule
I work remotely from home as a story consultant and my longest sessions are around 2 hours, so I have most of the day to hang out with your fur baby!

Safety, trust & environment
If your pet is staying at my place, they'll most likely hang out with me in the large loft area where I work. So they won't be left alone (unless they're the type that needs their space!) The minute they tell me they need to go out for a walk or really just need attention, I'm all theirs. If they're used to taking naps or sleeping on the bed at night, that also is fine by me! :) If I'm at your place, of course I'll abide by your exact rules for them. I follow instructions well and provide plenty of photo updates so you can relax and know your fur baby is in good hands!
