About: I've always loved all animals since I was a kid but have a special affinity for dogs and cats. I lost my sweet pup, Ewan, in 2019 to Hemangiocarcoma (a blood cancer) and to this day I still mourn him and can feel his presence in my life. I also lost my dear cat, Figaro, last year to natural old age causes. I'm a very good dog and cat dad and miss them terribly. In the past few years, so many friends and family have asked me to pet sit their fur babies and they always remark that they know their dog or cat is in the best possible hands with me. That they can actually relax on their trip because of how responsible and devoted I am to their pets and how much their pets adore me. Everyone has been encouraging me to sign up for Rover and now I'm finally doing it! I honestly believe Ewan and Figaro guided me here in their own way to spend time with your beloved kiddos. I look forward to getting to meet you and your pets! I work remotely from home as a story consultant and my longest sessions are around 2 hours, so I have most of the day to hang out with your fur baby! If your pet is staying at my place, they'll most likely hang out with me in the large loft area where I work. So they won't be left alone (unless they're the type that needs their space!) The minute they tell me they need to go out for a walk or really just need attention, I'm all theirs. If they're used to taking naps or sleeping on the bed at night, that also is fine by me! :) If I'm at your place, of course I'll abide by your exact rules for them. I follow instructions well and provide plenty of photo updates so you can relax and know your fur baby is in good hands!

About: Hi, I’m AnnMarie! I’ve been caring for animals since I was young, but really started understanding the love and care they need when I got my first cat and first dog at 7 years old. I grew up with Labrador retrievers, a blue front Amazon parrot, cats, frogs, fish, hermit crabs, and some others I’m definitely forgetting as I write this. I currently have a dog named Maple, a spunky, confident, and affectionate 1.5 year old corgi who would love a few more friends like your dog or cat! She grew up in a home with a ton of other dogs and cats and is always up for playdates and sleepovers. I’m capable of providing whatever your animal needs - a long (or short) walk, playtime, snuggles on the couch, meals, and commands/trick reinforcement. I also have experience administering medications to dogs and cats, including eye drops, and can manage other normally challenging health conditions or issues. I currently work full time but have availability in the evenings (usually after 6pm) on weekdays for drop in visits or walks, and most weekends are completely free for boarding, day care, drop ins, or walks! I frequently update my calendar to give clients the best idea of my availability. If you don’t see something/the dates you’re looking for, please reach out and we can discuss. I have an extremely friendly dog to keep yours company, but if the preference would be separation between yours and mine, that works perfectly fine too! I have a spacious home with multiple bedrooms and a large backyard, though it isn’t completely fenced just yet! I’m also a short drive from a huge park, where I frequently walk my dog, otherwise I keep walks local.

“We left our 2 year old Belgian with Jaimie for 5 days, and she took terrific care of our puppy. She sent us daily updates and pictures, sometimes more often. She catered to his fussy diet without a problem. He slept in bed with her, followed her around the house, and frolicked indoors and outdoors with her own dog. When we came to pick him up, he was beyond excited to see us, but kept on going back to her as well. For someone who can’t actually verbalize, that’s a pretty strong statement. We will certainly use Jaimie for “babysitting” again.”
