About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was a child, and love spending time with animals! I also foster cats in my free time and like to volunteer with local shelters! I’m currently in medical school, so this is a part time position for me, helping me to pay for my education and honestly supporting my mental health! I like to provide a calm and stable environment, and take pride in my ability to understand dog/cat body language, which helps me provide appropriate care!

About: I love animals and have experience working with and sitting for a wide range of them, including dogs, cats, and small or exotic animals. I myself have owned over twenty parrots (currently have two in the aviary!) and have extensive experience with fishkeeping — I have four cycled, walstad fish and shrimp tanks! I can walk your dog, clean your cat’s litter box, and even do water changes for your fish if needed! Anything to make sure your little guys are well cared for! I’m a graduate social work student who will be free over the summer, so my schedule is flexible until August. I can make myself available as needed. My own pets are given daily care. I own several disabled animals who require special care in order to get around and eat on their own. I currently have two budgies in a large cage l and two betta fish, each in 5-10 gallon tanks. The parrots are allowed to free fly for most of the day, but they will be put away when your pets are being boarded. In your home, I try not to disturb or move anything that’s not necessary. I’ll make use of only what’s given to me with regards to caring for your pet — but I do reserve the right to cuddle your pet a little more!
“Vivian is a rockstar! She did such a thorough job house sitting our two dogs and cat while we traveled. We got so many adorable photos, and so much communication including a daily detailed “pupdate”! I will definitely be booking Vivian again! A+++++!!!!”

“Marissa watched our dog and my daughter’s dog say my home. She was wonderful with them. They’re both a handful seperately so together just imagine. I felt confident and was able to relax and have a good time. I plan to book her again.”

“Tina is great with both of the pups especially one of them being a little bit more anxious when we’re not around. Despite a short notice, she managed to accommodate us for a meet and greet beforehand to get to know the pups better!”

“Kim was a lifesaver! We needed a sitter last minute for our pups as we were traveling to Italy. She wrote down notes for each of the puppies during the house visit and was confident the care she would provide them. She was attentive to their and our needs. She kept us informed throughout our trip and was able to understand their personalities. The pups gravitated towards her and felt comfortable. I would definitely reach out to her again!”

“Laura watched our dog at our home while we were away for a few days. She did an excellent job with our dog and treated our home with respect. We will definitely reach out in the future when we can't bring our pup on trips! Highly recommend Laura”

“Brittany was amazing! She watched our three dogs overnight. They absolutely loved her and immediately accepted her as part of their family. She arranged, on her own time, to come and meet the dogs, and me, before she accepted the job to be sure it was a good fit. While we were away she kept us updated by sending us many pictures and letting us know how the dogs were doing. If she had any questions, she asked us for clarification. I would highly recommend Brittany and we will be asking her to watch our pack again I am sure.”

“Zharah did an amazing job loving on our babies just as we would while we were away! I only have high praise for the way she communicated with us and cared for our pets. Zharah is well versed on how to take care of your animals big and small. Highly recommend her for all your needs!”

“We had such a great experience with Kayla. Our dog struggles with separation anxiety, but Kayla did such a great job to calm his nerves. She was very patient with him and went out of her way to do a meet and greet prior to the appointment. He had such a good time! Highly recommend.”

About: I'm a pet-loving mother of four with three children in college—and enjoying the wonderful pets I have met through this site. I have lived in Scotch Plains for almost 15 years. I watch several dogs regularly on a private basis and am excited to be part of the Rover community. I grew up with a beloved menagerie that included three cats, two beloved dachshunds and a poodle and have enjoyed watching a variety of dogs, including a bulldog, a French bulldog, a Bernese, a labradoodle, and, of course, mixed breeds. I love walking and daily yoga and look forward to helping your pets get the fresh air, activity and affection they need when you are working or otherwise busy. I am a freelance writer with a flexible schedule and have time for walks and visits before or after work and at lunchtime. Having raised a family, I know how important it is to have a pet sitter who is mature and reliable and understands how deeply you love your pets--and am honored to assist you in keeping them happy and healthy. While I would love to help every pet, I am petite, so my ideal sized pets are under 50 pounds. I am a freelance writer with a flexible schedule and my own car. I rise early every day, and I am often available on weekends. I am often available at lunch time to clients who need their dogs walked mid day. I am a mature, reliable and organized mother of four and will treat your beloved and adorable pet like a member of my own family.
About: Hi! My name is Sandra, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have over 12 years of hands-on pet care experience and a strong professional background working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I previously worked as a manager at a doggy daycare, grooming, and boarding facility, where I supervised group play, ensured safety, assisted with grooming needs, and provided daily care for multiple dogs at once. I also worked closely with a professional dog trainer for three years, gaining experience with basic training, leash handling, behavior management, and reading canine body language. I currently have four dogs of my own, so I’m very familiar with daily routines, high-energy dogs, seniors, and multi-dog households. I’m comfortable administering medications, following specific instructions, and adjusting care to each dog’s individual needs. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I’m currently working part-time, which allows me to have a flexible schedule and dedicate quality time to the pets in my care. I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting, with availability on weekdays 6am-8am and anytime after 4pm and most weekends. I’m happy to communicate and work around your pet’s routine to ensure consistent and reliable care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are extremely important to me. I always follow owner instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, training rules, and household routines. I’m attentive to behavior, body language, and stress signals, and I prioritize calm, positive interactions. When caring for pets in your home, I respect your space and keep everything clean and secure. For walks and outings, I use proper leash handling and remain alert to surroundings at all times. With my professional background in daycare and training environments, you can trust that your pet will be cared for responsibly, patiently, and with genuine love.

I’m calm, responsible, and dedicated to creating a safe and loving environment. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to pet care each day. I’m able to provide regular walks, feeding, playtime, litter box cleaning, and companionship while keeping pets comfortable and on their normal routine.
