About: I’ve had and been around dogs ever since a child and I’ve noticed they each have their own personalities. its my responsibility to get to know them so I can provide them with love, attention, and fun and I couldn’t be more happy to do so. In my home we like to cook the dogs food (boiled chicken, rice, sweet potatoes, vegetables, etc) so no worries about bringing food (unless of course your pup is on a specific diet), we’ve got that handled :). I have two little dogs that me and my family take care of every day alongside any dogs that we’re sitting. I go to college but there is always someone at the house when I’m not there, whether that be my sister, mom, or grandma. My backyard is fenced with a large open area for them to run around in. I like to take my dogs on walks around my neighborhood and weekly visits to the dog park whenever it is sunny out. I also love to run around with them and teach them tricks with treats they like.
“Was the first time we used rover and didnt wanna leave our baby girl alone while we ate dinner so we decided to book with him. He was able to get our pup walked with a quick booking process and had great communication the whole time.”

“Mersades has been consistently walking our dog for about a year, and we could not recommend her enough! She is reliable, flexible, friendly, and just the sweetest! We highly highly recommend her and she will continue to be our number one pick for all our pet drop in and walking needs.”

“Tessa I appreciate you so much & so does monkey. I hope this is a start of a new and ongoing relationship. I definitely recommend you and want to book you for the future. We have found our perfect person. Thank you Tessa, see you soon dear.”

About: I’ve worked as a veterinary technician/assistant for about three years, caring for dogs of all ages, personalities, and needs. That experience has taught me how to recognize when a dog is feeling stressed, excited, or simply needs a little extra patience. I’m comfortable following specific routines, administering medications if needed, and making sure every dog feels safe, relaxed, and well cared for. I’ve always been a huge animal lover and the person my family and friends call when they need someone to watch or walk their dogs. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality and building a bond with them. As a dog owner myself, I have four dogs and understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. One of my senior dogs follows a strict diet and medication regimen that I manage every day, so I know firsthand how important consistency, attention to detail, and dependable care are when someone else is looking after your pet. I make communication a priority and love sending plenty of photos and updates so you always know how your pup is doing. My goal is to provide reliable, attentive care and make sure every dog feels happy, relaxed, and excited! I am a college student on summer break, so I have open availability throughout the week. I'm flexible with scheduling and happy to accommodate clients. I'm available to provide dependable and attentive care. I would always treat clients' homes and their pets with the same level of respect I would expect for my own. With a background in veterinary hospital settings, I feel comfortable following detailed care instructions and providing compassionate care for every pet!
About: I have owned all types of animals all my life. From cats and dogs to lizards, rabbits, or fish, you can count on me to provide the best care to your buddy! I currently work a steady pitman schedule from 6am-6pm, meaning my availability swaps days every week. Let me know what days you’re looking for and I’ll be sure to find something that works! I’ll be sure to keep your dog leashed on all walks and have experience getting feisty kitties into their carriers should an emergency situation happen.

I pride myself on providing the same level of love, attention, and spoiling that they get from you! Flexible schedule for dog walking and house sitting! I can adapt to your pet’s needs and keep them happy, active, and comfortable while you're away! 🐾🐶🐱🐾 I provide safe, reliable, and loving care in your pet’s own home environment. I’m available for house sitting, and dog walking while keeping your pet’s routine comfortable, familiar, and stress-free. 🐶🐱
“Laura is great with dozer. He has recently been having some health issues and she has been very sensitive to needs and always communicates with me about his energy level and vibe for the day. Her help and consistency is greatly appreciated!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was a child, and love spending time with animals! I also foster cats in my free time and like to volunteer with local shelters! I’m currently in medical school, so this is a part time position for me, helping me to pay for my education and honestly supporting my mental health! I like to provide a calm and stable environment, and take pride in my ability to understand dog/cat body language, which helps me provide appropriate care!

About: I've taken care of pets for friends and relatives numerous times in the past. Now looking to do the same on here and get paid for what I'm good at. I used to have a cat of my own so they're my specialty, but I do good with dogs too. I'm always available, so hit me up whenever you need and we'll work out times and such. Going on vacation? Sudden family plans? I got you covered. I don't offer boarding since my relatives aren't cool with it, but I can easily come to you just fine. All I need to know is when to walk the dog, when to change litter for the cats, that sort of thing.
About: I am a furry friend lover and I have taken care of pups of friends and family and have boarded them at my home several times. My house is safe and pet friendly wherein your precious buddy can stay comfortably. I have built a safe fenced yard where I enjoy playing with Nala, our dog. I live in safe neighborhood and walk her or let her out multiple times a day. I have a 4 year old healthy female Cavapoo who is very friendly and enjoys walking and playing with other dogs. I regularly take my buddy Nala (my pet dog) for walks and would love to take yours too!!! My pet brings a smile on my face every morning. My day starts with taking my pet out for walk. Pets are free to roam in our house and make our home as theirs during their entire stay. Treats are shared (if owners are okay). Weather permitting free play in safe fenced yard in morning and afternoon. In evening playing fetch play, run around or relax outside as per pets mood. Myself and my family members give a short walk to my buddy Nala three times a day and in evenings we take her on long walks in neighbourhood, dog park, sometimes on dog friendly beach. I have a pet-friendly home with fenced yard wherein I provide safe and secure outdoor space to my adorable 4-year old healthy cavapoo who will play and will be a great company to your precious pup!! I live with my husband and 2 girls who love furry friends and they help me in taking care of them. We all enjoy playing with our pup. I respect your pets routine and will feed the pup as per the schedule and will walk your buddy as per owners instructions.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Edison
I can’t say enough good things about Shannon- such an amazing person who went above and beyond to care for our silly boy Leo during a last minute need. I’m a veterinarian and I have a lot of specific needs, but she stepped in and cared for our boy just as her own—even better than I could have asked for. You would be lucky to have her looking after your pet! Thank you for everything, Shannon!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
