About: I have over 6 years of hands-on experience caring for a 60 lb Labrador Retriever, whom I raised from puppyhood. During that time, I learned how to understand dog behavior, body language, exercise needs, and daily routines at every stage of life. I also have experience caring for cats and understand that every pet has its own unique personality. I take the time to build trust, whether a pet is playful, shy, or needs extra patience. Although I no longer have my Labrador, the experience gave me a strong foundation in responsible pet care. I treat every pet as if they were my own, following each owner’s instructions carefully to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m a faculty at Rutgers, and most of my teaching is online, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to spend a lot of time at home. This makes it easy for me to provide pets with regular attention, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I plan my schedule to ensure every pet in my care receives consistent supervision and the care they need. I live in a clean, pet-friendly two-bedroom apartment near downtown New Brunswick. I make sure pets have a safe, comfortable, and calm environment where they can relax and feel at home. I follow each pet’s regular routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions provided by the owner. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain the pet’s normal routine to help reduce stress. I provide plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and regular updates with photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are safe and well cared for.

About: Greyhound lady with over a decade training and caring for dogs, including certifying two rescued racetrack greyhounds as therapy dogs through Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs. I've cared for five rescue dogs over the years — four greyhounds and a pug mix — handling everything from puppy adjustment to senior care, including medications, mobility needs, and end-of-life support. I use calm, positive-reinforcement handling and I'm skilled at reading a dog's stress or comfort level in real time, so walks stay relaxed and enjoyable. I'm also experienced with nervous or reactive dogs, having safely de-escalated an unleashed dog confrontation while working a mail route. My own dog takes 1.5 hours walk per day. We love Donaldson Park and the Highland Park Meadows, Johnson Park, Cheesequake and Morristown National Park for treats. Safety comes first on every walk. I read each dog's body language and comfort level before we even leave the door, and I adjust pace, route, or duration accordingly — a skill I built training two rescued greyhounds as certified therapy dogs. I stay alert to hazards like other loose animals, traffic, and extreme heat, and I know how to calmly de-escalate a tense situation if one arises. I treat every pet with the same patience and care I give my own rescue dogs, and I communicate clearly with owners before and after each walk so they always know how their pet is doing.

About: I've always loved all animals since I was a kid but have a special affinity for dogs and cats. I lost my sweet pup, Ewan, in 2019 to Hemangiocarcoma (a blood cancer) and to this day I still mourn him and can feel his presence in my life. I also lost my dear cat, Figaro, last year to natural old age causes. I'm a very good dog and cat dad and miss them terribly. In the past few years, so many friends and family have asked me to pet sit their fur babies and they always remark that they know their dog or cat is in the best possible hands with me. That they can actually relax on their trip because of how responsible and devoted I am to their pets and how much their pets adore me. Everyone has been encouraging me to sign up for Rover and now I'm finally doing it! I honestly believe Ewan and Figaro guided me here in their own way to spend time with your beloved kiddos. I look forward to getting to meet you and your pets! I work remotely from home as a story consultant and my longest sessions are around 2 hours, so I have most of the day to hang out with your fur baby! If your pet is staying at my place, they'll most likely hang out with me in the large loft area where I work. So they won't be left alone (unless they're the type that needs their space!) The minute they tell me they need to go out for a walk or really just need attention, I'm all theirs. If they're used to taking naps or sleeping on the bed at night, that also is fine by me! :) If I'm at your place, of course I'll abide by your exact rules for them. I follow instructions well and provide plenty of photo updates so you can relax and know your fur baby is in good hands!

In addition to caring for my own dogs, I’ve also dog sat for family, friends, and neighbors, making sure their pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while they’re away. I’m patient, dependable, and treat every dog like they’re part of my own family. Whether your pup needs exercise, companionship, or a consistent routine, I’ll provide the loving care they deserve. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine. I work from home most days, so I’m able to provide consistent walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day. On the 1–2 days a week I go into the office, I plan ahead with early morning and evening care to ensure pets stay on their normal routine. I also stay communicative with pet parents so they always know their pet is safe and well cared for, even on my busier days. I don’t have dogs at home, and I live in an apartment with a large lawn and also live close to a park, which makes it easy to provide regular walks, potty breaks, and playtime. In my home, I provide a calm, clean, and comfortable space with plenty of attention and exercise. In a client’s home, I follow their instructions closely and stick to the pet’s normal routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free.

About: Hi! I’m Quin. I grew up with cats, dogs, a bunny, and was a member of an Alpaca 4-H club since I was in 3rd grade, I don’t know a world without animals. I genuinely love getting to know people’s pets and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. My current house currently boasts four cats of various ages, from kittens to an old lady, and a young Australian Shepherd mix. Because of this, I'm very comfortable with both cats, dogs, and households that have multiple pets. I've also spent a large part of my life caring for senior animals and pets who need a little extra attention. I've managed medications, special diets, frequent potty breaks, and other individualized care, including caring for a previous dog with a seizure disorder. My approach to pet care is to meet each animal where they are. I love matching their energy, whether that means a long walk and plenty of playtime, some quiet companionship, or simply giving a shy pet the time and space they need to become comfortable with me. I'm detail-oriented and happy to follow specific routines and care instructions because I know how important it is to feel confident that your pet is being cared for exactly the way you would care for them. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, house sitting, and cat sitting. About: I brought my rescue dog, mochi, home when I was 11, and raised him till he was 18! Mochi gave me lots of experience of how to properly care for a senior dog. Ever since he passed away, I’ve been taking care of my friend’s dogs and cats. I always have lots of fun and decided to make it my side hustle:) I am currently working part time so I will be able to give your pets lots of love and attention. My schedule is flexible so I can accommodate to when your pets need to stay at my home. My apartment door, windows, and main building door are always locked. I will make sure your pets get well fed on time and always have clean water ready. I love cuddles and walking!

I used to have a cat of my own so they're my specialty, but I do good with dogs too. I'm always available, so hit me up whenever you need and we'll work out times and such. Going on vacation? Sudden family plans? I got you covered. I don't offer boarding since my relatives aren't cool with it, but I can easily come to you just fine. All I need to know is when to walk the dog, when to change litter for the cats, that sort of thing.
