This was my first time using the service (and a first time I traveled without my dog) - Erin was phenomenal! For 5 walks (across morning/afternoon/evening) she arrived either earlier or right on time as scheduled! She offered to come to my home the day before I left (for a meet & greet) and this was a wonderful way to have my pup feel comfortable. I received immediate updates and photos of all activity so I never was left wondering. Overall Erin provided an amazing experience and I would not hesitate to book again. Thanks Erin! 😊

About: My home was set up for an 80lb dog with a fenced in yard and areas around the house. Should be very comfortable for any dog. I’m very attentive to the pets, making sure their needs are met and that they are safe and sound. When I take on a job, my schedule is pretty cleared out for it since I’m a retired person. I can schedule my time around the care of your pet. I care for pets in my home by keeping an eye on them. Taking them out into the fenced yard and walking them twice a day. If they like to play fetch or tug I’ll do that with them too. I keep them fed, watered, exercised and rested.

About: I have over two years of professional experience working with dogs and have been a dog owner for more than 15 years. I believe in allowing dogs to approach at their own pace and building trust through patience and understanding. I have experience caring for puppies as well as dogs with behavioral challenges. I am the owner of Outreach Dog Walking LLC. I’m a college student with flexible availability. The only times I’m unavailable are Tuesdays before 1 PM and Thursdays. I live at home, so overnights at my home aren’t an option, but I’m happy to stay overnight at your home if needed. I am capable of handling multi-dog families. Due to my background, I'm used to seeing sibling sets of 2-3, despite never personally owning more than 2 dogs at 1 time

Gary is always on time and you can immediately tell he is a professional dog walker. He dresses and handles my 60 lbs. dogs like a true alpha. He makes sure to keep them safe while walking them. My mother-in-law drove by him while he was walking out dogs and she told me he moved them aside (there is no sidewalk) and paid attention to his surroundings. He knows dog behavior so he teaches me about them and why they do what they do. Hands down a true and reliable dog walker.

I have hands-on experience with both energetic puppies who need extra playtime and training, as well as senior pets who benefit from gentle handling, medication management, and a slower pace. I pay close attention to detail, communicate frequently with pet parents, and treat every dog as if they were my own. I work full time, but I work from home. I am available on most days and can be there for lunch routines. I am available during my lunch breaks for dog walks. I have one mini bernedoodle, who is the most friendly dog in the world. About: I have over 6 years of hands-on experience caring for a 60 lb Labrador Retriever, whom I raised from puppyhood. During that time, I learned how to understand dog behavior, body language, exercise needs, and daily routines at every stage of life. I also have experience caring for cats and understand that every pet has its own unique personality. I take the time to build trust, whether a pet is playful, shy, or needs extra patience. Although I no longer have my Labrador, the experience gave me a strong foundation in responsible pet care. I treat every pet as if they were my own, following each owner’s instructions carefully to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m a faculty at Rutgers, and most of my teaching is online, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to spend a lot of time at home. This makes it easy for me to provide pets with regular attention, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I plan my schedule to ensure every pet in my care receives consistent supervision and the care they need. I live in a clean, pet-friendly two-bedroom apartment near downtown New Brunswick. I make sure pets have a safe, comfortable, and calm environment where they can relax and feel at home. I follow each pet’s regular routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions provided by the owner. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain the pet’s normal routine to help reduce stress. I provide plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and regular updates with photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are safe and well cared for.

About: Many years of pets experience having my own pets and also pet sitting for family/ friends. I have 4 cats of my own who are my absolute world. One being a blind senior who does need guidance and lots of extra lovins. I love your pets as much as my own! Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
