“Rebecca was a great sitter! She was super prompt with photos and check-ins and even offered to help out with the kitties’ making a little mess while i was out of town! I really appreciated that she was able to fit me in last minute and was so thorough despite that.”

“Tara was amazing !!! I have a hard time trusting people with my fur babies but upon meeting Tara I was immediately comfortable. She was so sweet , on time, and gave regular updates ! I insisted she didn’t have to clean the litter daily and she still did! I couldn’t recommend her more !!”

“Felix took great care of my cat while I was away! He was super reliable, had great communication, and sent plenty of pictures, which gave me peace of mind. My cat seemed happy and well cared for when I got back. Would definitely book with Felix again!”

“After deciding that a kennel would not work out for our dog, Lady, we saw Stacey’s info on Rover.com We had a nice meet and greet and as soon as our Lady walked over to her and connected, our decision was made. Besides the Rover updates, she stayed in touch personally. She gave us peace of mind.”

About: My entire family loves dogs and cats. My mother, father, aunt, uncle, and cousins. I am a huge dog lover myself. I am not the type who sits and leaves the dog or cat alone. I enjoy taking dogs for walks, playing with them, and just cuddling with them while watching a movie. I am 31 years old. I drive and will travel anywhere in Staten Island or 15 mile radius of Old Bridge and Matawan. I am free weekends, and during the week at any time =) I work part time so I’m very flexible with scheduling. I also can accept last minute requests I only have cats, but have experience walking small dogs. My cats are indoor only, but have multiple cat trees, toys, games, treats, and cat tv. When it comes to caring for pets in your home, I will ensure they are well fed and played with
About: My love for animals—especially dogs—is unmatched. I have hands-on experience training my own Dobermans and caring for a wide variety of dogs and cats. I treat every pet like my own and focus on providing consistent, loving care while you’re away. I work from home full-time, which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive, consistent care throughout the day. Whether it’s midday walks, playtime, or simply keeping your pet company, my schedule allows me to be fully present and responsive to your pet’s needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a secure, spacious home with plenty of room for pets to relax and play. I’m also located near a dog park, offering great opportunities for exercise and socialization in a controlled environment. I treat every pet in my care with the same love and attention I give my own.
“Janine was absolutely professional and efficient during her 8 days of care of my cat. She fed, played, and cleaned up after Graceson. I would recommend Janine in a heartbeat and will look to rebook if I need any future drop-ins!”

About: Hi! I’m a full-time work-from-home dog lover who provides a safe, loving, and active environment for your pup while you’re away. Because I work from home, your dog will get plenty of attention, supervision, companionship, and care throughout the day — not be left alone for long hours. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor playtime, and my family loves spending time outside on walks, playing, and enjoying fresh air with our furry guests. We also have children who are gentle, caring, and experienced around dogs. Caring for animals has always been a big part of our lives, and I regularly dog sit for family and friends. Recently, we had to say goodbye to our longtime family dog due to age and health issues, which only deepened our appreciation for the love and companionship pets bring into a home. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog, and I’ll treat your pet like part of the family — with lots of love, patience, attention, and belly rubs. Whether your dog loves walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply a calm place to relax, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and cared for during their stay. I currently work from home full time so your pet will not be left alone. I have the flexibility for walks during the day and a fully fenced yard for play time outside. I have a large fenced yard that pets always will be able to go in as well as a walking friendly neighborhood. We will follow your lead we do allow pets in bed and on furniture but will also crate if that is how your dog is comfortable.

“Laura provided excellent service and communication regarding our cats while we were gone for 9 days. My 2 senior cats need daily medication (oral pills and topical cream) and Laura was comfortable with this situation. When we booked our vacation, months ago, they didn't need any medication, so finding the right sitter leading up to our time away was stressful for me, but Laura was great and helped me feel more at ease while on our big family vacation. It turned out that one of my cats would hide with each visit, which I'm sure was annoying to manage, but Laura stuck with it. We can't thank her enough for caring for our aging cats!”
“Cindy was fantastic with my dog! She was very helpful throughout the entire process, always on time, and a great communicator. I really appreciated how responsible and attentive she was, knew my dog was in good hands while I was gone. I would definitely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter.”

Thalia is so great with our 3 month old puppy! We are very grateful of her help. Her update is always detailed and truly catering to what we are looking at. Thank you! We saw that Kuma likes you a lot! Hope to be able to book you again when we needed assitance.

This is our second time doing a pretty extensive request with Yan, multiple stops a day for various days, and just like last time I really enjoyed having Yan as our sitter! Jack has warmed up to her, she has good communication, and I look forward to the next time she can dog sit for us!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
