“Pam was great with our 2 dogs. She sent us pictures and told us how they were doing. Due to certain circumstances some of the hours had to change and she was great to work with would definitely use her again and recommend her”
“Cristina is AMAZING!!! Highly highly recommend. I have a very anxious pup and she was so incredibly patient and helpful with her. She truly went above and beyond to try and make her feel comfortable and we’re so grateful!! Will definitely be booking her again if we travel!”

About: I understand that every animal has its own personality, routine, and needs, so I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply keeping their routine consistent, I treat every pet with the same patience and kindness I would want for my own two fur babies. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your furry family member is in caring and dependable hands. Pictures and updates will be provided, so you can have consistent peace of mind. Im currently at home due to it being summer break so I have a lot of free time for the time being. I am very flexible when it comes to time and last minute bookings for the next two months. I have two handsome boys of my own Teddy(12) and Vader (4). I do not have a fenced in yard so they love going out on simple walks, big hikes, lakes, the beach and going to the park. With previous clients I would bring their pups with us as well or just keep them in their own neighborhood and in their routines to make sure they’re always happy and comfortable, It’s definitely all up to the parents.
About: I am a Middle School Counselor off for the summer so my availability is incredibly flexible. I’ve had dogs in my family home since I was in middle school until today. My current dog Moonshine is a Beaglier who is the sweetest girl in the whole world! I have years of experience professionally working with families and children including in-home therapy, so I am comfortable traveling to homes in a professional setting. As a School Counselor, I am currently off of work for the summer so my weekday availability is very flexible. I can plan my daily/weekly living tasks around your needs. I have spent years of my professional career working with children and families. For part of my career that included in-home therapy, so I am comfortable and accustomed to entering homes in a professional setting. My top priority is respecting your home and your pet. My Beaglier, Moonshine, is happy to provide a positive review!
About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 7 years old. I grew up with a German Shepherd named Eva, the love of my life. While a sophomore in high school, I began working at a dog daycare called Pups@Play Montclair. That job gave me invaluable knowledge of dog behavior and relationship dynamics. I learned the intricacies of their behavior, body language, personality, whether they were high energy or low energy, active or reactive, etc. I used that to diffuse many doggy disputes. I worked with and managed 50+ dogs everyday. Daschunds, puppies, mutts, great danes, shepherds, samoyeds, bulldogs, pitbulls, hairless, everything. I can handle any dog I meet. You can trust me to handle your dog with care, happiness, love, understanding, and patience. I am fit and ready to play! Dogs hold such a special place in my heart and I can't wait to meet yours! I am a student at Rutgers New Brunswick and my schedule currently has me free after 5pm on weekdays and any time after 9am on weekends. I can potentially be available if there is a special circumstance but that is by no means a guarantee. I do not currently offer boarding services. If I were to offer boarding, your dog would be comfortable, happy, hydrated, and well-fed. Have a great day, talk to you soon!
About: Throughout my life, I have consistently owned dogs. I possess the expertise to train both puppies and senior dogs, as well as administer medication when necessary. Additionally, my background in law enforcement includes working with the canine unit. I am passionate about providing exercise for animals. I work full time and are available2 to 3 days a week. Mondays would be after 1pm. Tuesday are open, and Wednesdays I am open in the morning till 1pm. I have a fenced in yard for my two dogs currently. Both of them are house trained and adorable. My dogs are on a raw diet which takes a lot of prep and care. They go on walks at night with me when I come home from work.
“Hon was a fantastic sitter and provided exceptional care for our two cats while we were away. Our cats can be pretty timid but warmed up to him immediately. Not only did Hon make sure both cats were fed on time and their litter boxes were clean, but he also took time to play with each of them and generally left the house better than he found it. Overall a great experience. We will be reaching out to him again for our next trip.”

I am nestled in a quiet and safe neighborhood. My availability is very flexible for both overnight and daycare as well as drop-off and pick-up times. For your convenience, I’m only 30 minutes away from Newark Airport. I have over 5 years of experience caring for our friends and families pets. During your baby's stay, they will be cared for like our own; I have a five-year-old Siberian Husky named Winter. We are a dog loving family, and someone will always be home with the dogs. I have soft doggy beds for everyone so your dog will have a luxurious night’s sleep. I'll send daily pictures and videos for you while you're away, so you know your dog is doing well. We have a fenced yard and a friendly husky named Winter to play with your dogs, fenced yard with plenty of space to play, and soft dog beds for nap time. “I felt so much better knowing Rebecca was taking care of Woody while I was away. It was truly a last-minute decision to hire her (around 10pm we agreed for her to come the next morning at 7am!) and she arrived on time to meet Woody and get acclimated briefly with the space, before I jetted off for my trip. She sent pictures for each visit and did everything as expected. Rebecca, who also works a tough overnight job, strikes me as the sort of person who could probably handle ANY job competently, from dog sitting to running a company — it’s a work ethic thing.”

“Eleanor went completely above and beyond to take care of my cats! One of my cats is a too smart for his own good, and he ended up getting into a specific cabinet for the first time and eating a whole bag of treats. Eleanor found a way to keep him out of that cabinet, and she also spent extra time with him to make sure he wasn't having any digestive problems. She's also super knowledgeable about cats and was so communicative with me the whole time I was gone!”

“Great drop in! Hiral was very quick in responses and went out of her way to take videos and photos of my pet during her visit. Swiftly did all tasks and overall great experience.”

“Stacey was an excellent choice to help us with our newly adopted cat after he had surgery. We were struggling with med management, and Stacey was an invaluable resource. 10/10, would highly recommend!!”

“This is our 2nd time using Jonathan. We had a vet emergency 1 hr before our flight, and he came to the vet office, picked up meds, and administered them while we were away. Incredibly kind and responsible person!”

This is our second time doing a pretty extensive request with Yan, multiple stops a day for various days, and just like last time I really enjoyed having Yan as our sitter! Jack has warmed up to her, she has good communication, and I look forward to the next time she can dog sit for us!

Gary took such great care of my animals. I have 4 cats and 2 dogs so there’s a lot to do and remember. He took the time to get to know all of them and their routines. It makes going away much easier knowing they are being taken care of so well. I will definitely use Gary again and highly recommend him for anyone looking for pet care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
