“A great introduction to my new sweet kitty! Rebecca found ways to keep her busy and sent beautiful pics too! As a first time user of Robert services, I couldn’t be happier!”

“Cristina is great with our pups! We have a nervous younger dog and she's really patient with her. She's really communicative and our dogs really enjoy her visits. We will definitely be using her again in the future!”
“After deciding that a kennel would not work out for our dog, Lady, we saw Stacey’s info on Rover.com We had a nice meet and greet and as soon as our Lady walked over to her and connected, our decision was made. Besides the Rover updates, she stayed in touch personally. She gave us peace of mind.”

“We are so happy that Pam was able to take care of Lily, and we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing that she was in such great hands. Pam did an amazing job and was very professional, keeping us updated and sending pictures after every visit. We wouldn’t hesitate to work with her again in the future and highly recommend her services. Thank you, Pam!”

“My animals loved Hannah! My dogs have a lot of energy and she played with them and threw the ball for a long time! She even noticed that my one dog had a health concern and asked me if I wanted her to do something for it so I had Hannah give my dog some medicine and put a cone on her. She went above and beyond! I have used Hannah to watch my dogs in the past and would definitely trust her with my pets again in the future! Even my cat loves her and he rarely warms up to new people!”

“Hon did a fantastic job taking care of my fur babies while I was out for a week and a half. Besides being very loving, the kitties are doing well…and my home was cared for with respect. Hon is fantastic!”

About: Throughout my life, I have consistently owned dogs. I possess the expertise to train both puppies and senior dogs, as well as administer medication when necessary. Additionally, my background in law enforcement includes working with the canine unit. I am passionate about providing exercise for animals. I work full time and are available2 to 3 days a week. Mondays would be after 1pm. Tuesday are open, and Wednesdays I am open in the morning till 1pm. I have a fenced in yard for my two dogs currently. Both of them are house trained and adorable. My dogs are on a raw diet which takes a lot of prep and care. They go on walks at night with me when I come home from work.

“Eleanor is amazing with my cats and they both really respond to her, even my shy cat! She's also very communicative and responsive and is comfortable getting detailed instructions (both of my cats require special medicine / feeding instructions). This isn't my first time booking her for cat care and I would definitely book her again!”

“Gary was amazing with the kitties and so friendly that we felt comfortable leaving them for our vacation. We knew the litter boxes would be scooped and the food and water would be checked. My kids especially loved his detailed updates and the photos he sent! I highly recommend Gary!”

“Megan M. was amazing with my pack (4) of very large boys! She was friendly and professional! I will definitely use her again if I ever need Rover to cover a day my friends and family can't! The boys definitely made a new friend! 🐾💙”

About: I am a Middle School Counselor off for the summer so my availability is incredibly flexible. I’ve had dogs in my family home since I was in middle school until today. My current dog Moonshine is a Beaglier who is the sweetest girl in the whole world! I have years of experience professionally working with families and children including in-home therapy, so I am comfortable traveling to homes in a professional setting. As a School Counselor, I am currently off of work for the summer so my weekday availability is very flexible. I can plan my daily/weekly living tasks around your needs. I have spent years of my professional career working with children and families. For part of my career that included in-home therapy, so I am comfortable and accustomed to entering homes in a professional setting. My top priority is respecting your home and your pet. My Beaglier, Moonshine, is happy to provide a positive review!
“This is our 2nd time using Jonathan. We had a vet emergency 1 hr before our flight, and he came to the vet office, picked up meds, and administered them while we were away. Incredibly kind and responsible person!”

“Great drop in! Hiral was very quick in responses and went out of her way to take videos and photos of my pet during her visit. Swiftly did all tasks and overall great experience.”

“Michael has been absolutely wonderful with our doggo! He has such a care and attention to her needs, and even helped out when she got into trouble and got into our pantry lol. We have a reactive dog, and he's been great with taking her for walks and managing her energy and needs safely. We can tell that she is very comfortable with him, and would recommend Micheal to anyone with a furry friend! :)”

“My kitty was very happy when Megan came. She kept us update with pictures and messages. We were able to enjoy our trip knowing our little guy was being taken care of.”

About: Hi! I'm Kevin and I am an experienced dog owner who loves taking care of dogs. I have a fenced-in yard for long play times with our friendly husky host and the other guests at our Doggy B&B. I am nestled in a quiet and safe neighborhood. My availability is very flexible for both overnight and daycare as well as drop-off and pick-up times. For your convenience, I’m only 30 minutes away from Newark Airport. I have over 5 years of experience caring for our friends and families pets. During your baby's stay, they will be cared for like our own; I have a five-year-old Siberian Husky named Winter. We are a dog loving family, and someone will always be home with the dogs. I have soft doggy beds for everyone so your dog will have a luxurious night’s sleep. I'll send daily pictures and videos for you while you're away, so you know your dog is doing well. Please note that dogs aren't allowed on the furniture in our house and we do not take unneutered/unspayed dogs (no exceptions). Dogs must be house trained without accidents, flea protected and vaccinated for the health of all dogs who visit. I can't wait to enjoy your dog's company and look forward to hosting your dog! I’m working from home full time, as is my sister and dad, so someone will always be at home to take care of your dogs and we’ll have plenty of time to play with them. We’re available for boarding and day care 7 days a week. We have a fenced yard and a friendly husky named Winter to play with your dogs, fenced yard with plenty of space to play, and soft dog beds for nap time. Our family loves dogs so they will be loved and petted and played with, and taken out for walks.
About: My family once had a dog but he sadly passed away so it increased my passion for pets. I've had experience taking care of my Auntie's dog for 4 years and when I went to college I didn't see him as much but I came back and he remembered me as if no time past. I've constantly been around pets my whole life and have taken care of other peoples pets in emergency situations countless times. I work weekdays (Mon-Thurs) and I am in school but Friday into the weekends I don't do much so the weekend would be a perfect time to request me to care for a pet. Feel free to take a break and go on a weekend dinner date as your pet is left in good hands. I live on a college campus with vigilant security and cameras at every angle in my building but I am not prohibited to care for animals in my space. I am capable of defending myself and protecting the well being of animals at a clients space.
“Roberta is amazing! She’s very professional and responsible. This was my first time leaving my puppy and I felt like he was in good hands . Bandit loved her and I would not hesitate to contact her again if I needed care for my puppy !”

This is our second time doing a pretty extensive request with Yan, multiple stops a day for various days, and just like last time I really enjoyed having Yan as our sitter! Jack has warmed up to her, she has good communication, and I look forward to the next time she can dog sit for us!

Gary took such great care of my animals. I have 4 cats and 2 dogs so there’s a lot to do and remember. He took the time to get to know all of them and their routines. It makes going away much easier knowing they are being taken care of so well. I will definitely use Gary again and highly recommend him for anyone looking for pet care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
