About: What really sets me apart is the amount of hands-on experience I’ve had with cats over the years. I’ve fostered so many cats—everything from tiny kittens to older adults—and I’ve helped several of them find loving forever homes. I’m remote on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, which gives me a lot of flexibility on those days, as well as on weekends If your dog comes to stay with me, I have a spacious fenced yard where they can safely play and get plenty of outdoor time. Inside, my home is large and comfortable, giving them plenty of room to move around. If a dog isn’t fully house-trained, I can provide a separate room for nighttime, but trained dogs are welcome to sleep wherever they feel most comfortable. For cats, they’ll have full access to the house and a calm, safe environment to relax and explore.

About: Dogs have been a part of my heart and home for as long as I can remember. I adopted my first dog, a spirited Jack Russell-Boston Terrier mix, in 2005, and when I got married, I happily welcomed my husband’s senior boxer into our family. A few years later, an unplanned encounter led us to adopt another boxer puppy—we couldn’t resist her charm! Over the years, our family grew, adding four kids into the mix alongside our beloved dogs. Losing my own dog in 2019 and our boxer shortly after my youngest was born was incredibly hard, but it deepened my appreciation for the unconditional love and joy dogs bring. I was the first in my family to welcome a dog into our lives, and since then, I’ve inspired my sisters and even nieces and nephews to do the same. Though I can’t currently have a dog in my home as a single mom with four little ones, I deeply miss the companionship and connection dogs provide. About: Although I don’t have any professional dog care experience, I have been raised around dogs all my life. I also foster dogs for an overseas organization. My compassion and love for all animals is what sets me apart from the rest and I’m active in my personal life which makes for great walks and hiking trips with your dog, should you want! Christine was great with our very shy cat. She arrived timely, made sure he ate, and played with him as much as he would allow her to. She gave us a lot of confidence that he would be looked after very well during our time away. Will definitely use her in the future.
We left our two cats for two weeks—the longest they’ve ever been alone—while we traveled across the country, and we were extremely nervous, especially because one of our cats is very anxious and deeply attached to humans. We found Purva through Rover on our first search, and calling her “sent from animal care heaven” would honestly be an understatement. From the initial meet-and-greet, Purva was warm, down-to-earth, and incredibly reassuring. Before leaving, I set up cameras around the house because we were worried about stress-related behaviors like inappropriate peeing or vomiting, particularly from our anxious cat. Somehow, during those two weeks, our cats seemed happier than when we’re actually home. They were consistently well-fed, the litter box was always clean, and although Purva was scheduled for 30-minute visits each day, she never left until every requested task was completed thoroughly and thoughtfully. Most impressively, our anxious cat—who typically urinates around the house when stressed—did not act out even once during the entire two weeks. That alone speaks volumes. I fully attribute this to Purva’s patience, attentiveness, and genuine care. She arrived on time every day and was even available for last-minute visits during an emergency, which gave us incredible peace of mind. We truly could not have asked for a better cat sitter. Purva exceeded every expectation, and we would trust her with our cats again without hesitation. And one more thing we absolutely loved was that Purva always attended the visits with a member of her family. Safety comes first above everything, and this meant so much to us. It gave us an extra level of comfort and peace of mind knowing she prioritized her own safety while caring for our home and our cats.
Melissa visited Muddy for a drop-in visit. They quickly became best friends. After Muddy took care of a “nature call”, he came back in the house and showed Melissa all of his wonderful toys that his mom and dad buy (mostly, mom). Finally, Muddy went up on the couch and they chilled for a while before Melissa told Muddy it was time for her to leave. He eagerly went back into his crate and was glad that he got a big cookie and a kong to amuse himself with. He said if mom and dad have to leave him, he’d be thrilled to have Melissa come in to see him. Melissa is Muddy-approved!
