“This is the first time I’ve used a dog walking service as I have always been hesitant to put my pup’s care in a strangers hands but Emily put my worries to rest. 10/10 I would highly recommend.”

About: I have been walking and pet sitting since I was a kid. It was one of my first jobs. I love all dogs and can’t wait to walk your little buddy! I am between jobs and want to spend all of my free time with animals. I would love to hang with your furry friend while you’re busy. I am extremely careful and attentive to pups on walks. I have a keen attention to detail and will be certain they don’t get into anything they shouldn’t.

“Thank you for your helping our family as always”

About: Known to be dependable, trustworthy, and caring, I've been a regular dog sitter/walker for 8+ years and cared for family pets my whole life. Most of the dogs have been higher needs with anxiety, special diets, medicine, routines, etc. I've even watched a Macaw! My goal is to keep your dog in their regular schedule with just as much care as you would typically provide. I'm training for a trail race and would love some canine companions on the trails! You can expect regular updates from me so you know your pet is being well taken care of! Flexible remote job, looking to book a few walks or visits (love pets & cuddles!) during the day to help dogs who are home for large chunks of time and need a break and/or some exercise! Dogs often feel more comfortable at their own house and that is what I prefer to offer. I have a cute doggie of my own at my home and can't accept boarding requests.

About: I have a long history of both owning and caring for dogs. To me, a fur baby is family and any pet left under my care are treated with the same love and affection as I would with my own. I would be honored to spoil your pup (with what you and your fur baby are comfortable with). I have experience caring for many different sizes, temperaments, personalities, limitations, and quirks that dogs come with. Special skills include: - Senior dog needs - Medication administration - Reactive dogs - Anxiety calming and comforting - Special needs (public restrictions, no kids, etc.) - Allergies - High energy - High maintenance - Physical exercise - Sensitivities Pet care is my full-time job. All of my time and energy will be focused on making your fur baby comfortable, loved, and well-cared for. I am home 24/7 except for the occasional social outing with friends. Furry friends are my top priority and I take every step necessary to ensure they are cared for and loved like family during their stay. I am very active and love taking pups for any length of walk or park time that they need or enjoy. I am with your babies all day and I treat them like they are my own. I provide lots of love, snuggles, play time, and am happy to give them as much (or little) attention as they need. While I love to spoil our fur friends, I adhere to your instructions, always, and can provide as many updates and photos of your pup as you'd like. We have a fully fenced large backyard (for Portland) and I supervise all furry friends outside when the weather is cooperating. We have a fenced dog run that is lit, with dog door access for your babies if they need to relieve themselves immediately. Dogs are allowed on our furniture and in the bed during the day for snuggles. In a clients home, I follow every instruction left for care of your fur baby and try to leave all homes better than I left. I will never leave your dog in any state other calm and relaxed. I take great care to ensure that your property is secured when I leave and can follow any instructions for key care, lockbox codes, etc. including key pick-up and drop-off.

About: One of my passions in life is pets and caring for them. As a graduate from Carrington College in veterinary assisting I learned valuable skills such as understanding animal behavior, CPR, nail trims and administering medications. I have had dogs, cats, rabbits, hampsters, lizards, fish, frogs and feel comfortable with nearly any type of pet. What I bring to pet care is a strong connection to animals, I feel a sense of responsibility and need to care for them and be their new best friend. I will always talk to pets & their owners when I see them on a bus, walking down the street, or in an outside restaurant. I am vegan, as I feel that all animals should be treated well. I do not impose my views on anyone but am happy to talk about it and offer advice if asked. OUTSIDE REVIEWS Heather took care of my young and active miniature Australian Labradoodle Maggie for 3 nights. She stayed at my home and did an amazing job. I came home to a calm and happy dog and my house was just as I left it . Maggie loved her and she loved Maggie. I felt 100 % confident that she was in good hands. She has experience with animals, loves them and has even had vet tech training in the past. Previously, when I left Maggie with a sitter for 3 days she didn’t eat and lost a pound, but with Heather she was just as I left her. I was delighted. Heather gets 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟 I am free just about any time and duration, and can go anywhere that Tri-Met can take me if it's an hour or less travel time. I will take your dog to a park if it's within walking distance, or walk around the neighborhood, or play/run around in the yard or house as well.

About: I’ve had all types of animals for most of my life. I currently have three dogs, two cats and two fish tanks between my partner and I. I love animals and have always had a special sense with them. My schedule is kind of odd. I work on Monday afternoons and I am a mobile bartender and my schedule for that is always changing. I am a great communicator though! I have a fenced yard and my dogs are extremely socialized. I have worked hard to keep them friendly and happy fur babies.i am competent and can keep multiple dogs under control on the leash or safely pass other dogs without reaction. I also have references if requested. I love everyone’s animal with the respect that they deserve.

“Joye is super awesome! She’s very kind to my pup, and I enjoyed having her care for him. I never had to worry. She’s punctual and has great communication. Thank you Joye!!! Champ can’t wait for you to walk him again. :)))”

“Rachael is awesome. She is always in contact and keeps me posted if anything changes and of how her walks with my Bella go. She sends pix and is always in a great mood.”

“Brian stepped in when our summer walker for River was out of town. And we’re so glad he did. An incredibly compassionate caretaker of dogs. We trusted Brian with our best boy both immediately and implicitly! Thank you Brian!”

“Genelle has really helped me out she came on such short notice and just had no problems at all walking both of our dogs they are both already attached to her Rosco is 90 lbs of muscle and was not fazed one bit.”

About: My family always had animals growing up dogs, cats, chickens, and the occasional horse. Except for a couple years in college, I have always had a pet. I don’t wanna choose between cats and dogs. I love them both. I know all of the dogs in our neighborhood by name. And I usually am hanging out with your pet if you invited me over for a barbecue. I’m a substitute teacher so I have summers free and a lot of flexibility with my schedule. I have very few things scheduled for this year. It’s your home and your pets, and I will be completely and utterly respectful of your property and any rules you have in place or procedures that you would like followed.

“I am very glad I found Vanessa to take my dog, Tina, on a daily walk while I was out of town. She gave Tina variety on her walks and always had a nice Rover card report about what had happened on the walk. She handled Tina well and Tina looked forward to her daily walk. I would definitely use Vanessa again if the need arises.”

About: I grew up with dogs and have cared for both dogs and cats for friends and neighbors including walking, feeding, and making sure they’re comfortable while their people are away. I’ve taken a couple of family dogs through obedience training and currently live with my own young Border Collie Whippet mix, Franky. He’s high-energy, sensitive, and incredibly smart so I know firsthand how important it is to balance structure, mental stimulation, and patience, especially with working breeds. I approach every pet with attentiveness and respect for their individual needs, and I’m now expanding my services beyond friends and family. I’m currently between jobs, which gives me plenty of flexibility to offer weekday and weekend dog walks. I’m happy to work with your schedule and your dog’s specific needs. I focus on dog walking, not in home boarding or sitting. I prioritize safety on walks by avoiding risky situations and respecting your dog’s needs and temperament.

About: I’ve taken care of my dog since I was 10. I have experience with small to large breeds, including senior dogs who need a gentler touch and younger pups who have tons of energy. I treat every pet like they’re my own, and I always focus on keeping them safe, happy, and well-loved. 💛 I’m a full-time student who is in Portland, Oregon during the summer and Corvallis, Oregon during the school year. My availability is flexible and I’m happy to coordinate based on your needs! I take pet safety seriously and always follow the care instructions provided. I’ll keep your pet’s environment clean, cozy, and familiar while you’re away. Whether it’s daily walks, meds, or belly rubs, I’ve got it covered!

Julia J.
“Julia was an absolute delight and a caring pet sitter for our two dogs and cat. She took the time to get to know their unique personalities, one being hyper and playful, and the other being fairly shy. Her attentiveness and willingness to meet them where they needed it were evident, whether it was more patience before petting or extra games of fetch. She ensured our home was clean and our pets were well-tended to in every respect. Julia has been a pet sitter and dog walker for us, and she is extremely responsible. I would highly recommend her to any pet owner looking for a responsible and kind sitter.”

Andrea G.
“My dog loves her, yours will too. My dog says woof, woof, squeak, squeak. I really appreciate that she takes him for walks when I’m at work since I do 10 hour shifts and can’t be there.”

Jaclyn W.
“If there’s anyone born to care for animals, it’s my sister. Watching her with her dog over the years was nothing short of inspiring—she truly treated him like her own child, with unwavering devotion, tenderness, and joy. From daily walks to vet visits to bedtime snuggles, she gave him a life filled with love and dignity, all the way through his very last day. But it’s not just about how she treated her own dog. Animals gravitate toward her. Whether it’s a nervous rescue pup or an energetic puppy, she has an unmatched ability to connect with them in an instant. She’s calm, intuitive, and genuinely joyful around animals—and they feel that. It’s like she speaks their language. She’s also incredibly responsible, punctual, and attentive to every detail, from dietary needs to exercise routines. If you’re looking for someone to care for your dog as if they were her own, look no further. Your pup couldn’t be in better hands.”

Heather R.
“Having pet sat on many occasions Heather has a great rapport with animals that makes her an excellent pet sitter. I am always quick to recommend her services.”

“Haley is the local pet mom of Portland. When anyone goes out of town, she’s the first on the list for people to call. She takes care of cats, dogs, and pretty much anything. Booking her is the best choice you can make to make sure your pets are properly loved and taken care of while you’re at work or on vacations.”

She walked and cared for my sweet Modus dog before he left this world, and now she regularly cares for my two long haired kitties. Titus and Maeve love her, and appreciate the extra attention she gives whenever I've needed her! They literally run to her when she stops by! You will be so glad you chose Mel!”

Sienna S.
“Sienna is amazing with dogs! She has watched my 75-pound Labrador on probably 6-7 different occasions; sometimes for as long as two weeks. She was really great controlling him on a leash on walks, playing with him in the yard, and even teaching him new tricks. She is a very kind and compassionate person and has no problem controlling a big dog. She's a real dog-lover and dogs love her. I'd highly recommend Sienna!!”
