About: I may be new to Rover, but I'm not new to working with dogs. I know there are a lot of people on this site, who fluff their profiles and just do this for extra money. But, my life revolves around dogs and has for many, many years. I run my own business, Hounds of Love PDX, and bring a lifetime of experience in all areas including rescue, handling, walking, daycare, sitting, fostering, transporting and volunteering with local rescue organizations, as well as for Oregon Dog Rescue and Dove Lewis. I'm a small dog and senior advocate, and work with dogs of all sizes. I’ve always had an affinity for sighthounds(Greyhounds, Italian Greyhounds, etc), and understand their unique and sensitive nature well. I always put dogs first in every aspect of life, and feel they’re all part of my extended pack, and treat every dog as such. Safety is absolutely the top priority for me when working with pets. I have a deep understanding of dog psychology and know that each dog has a unique personality and needs, and that not all dogs are extroverts. In fact, many are quite the opposite. About: I’ve cared for animals my whole life and naturally connect with them. I’m calm, patient, and attentive, and I take time to understand each pet’s personality and needs. I also cared for my own senior dog for years, who lived to 15, which meant administering medications, moving at her pace, keeping routines gentle, and making sure she stayed comfortable and healthy in her senior years. I have experience caring for senior cats as well, and I’m very comfortable supporting animals that need extra patience or special attention. I keep a clean space, and pride myself on being responsible and reliable. I’ve watched multiple dogs at once in other people’s homes, from high-energy pups who love adventure to low-energy or anxious dogs who need quiet reassurance. Your pet will get genuine companionship, safety, and lots of love. I am living Portland, Oregon, working part time from home, and therefore will have full availability to stay at your home and care for your pets. Would love to help you with your plans and allow for you to travel where you need to go while your pets and your home are in good hands. I enjoy spending my days exploring the hiking trails so if your dog likes hikes and can join, I’d love that! Other than that, I’ll be spending most of my time enjoying the Portland neighborhoods and chilling with your pets. In my home, pets get a cozy, clean space, plenty of check-ins, and a steady routine with meals, fresh water, play breaks, walks, and lounging together. I make sure they feel like part of the household and never rushed or ignored. In your home, I make sure everything stays clean, calm, and consistent. I follow your routines and instructions exactly, from feeding and meds to favorite toys or bedtime rituals. Whether your pet wants adventure or quiet comfort, I match their vibe and keep them happy until you return.
About: I grew up in rural midwest with dogs, cats, and guinea pigs since I was 9. I was a dedicated and loving dog mama to my beloved bernese mountain dog, Riker, for 9.5 years and I miss him very much. I enjoyed taking my boy to thousand acres, Mt. Tabor, and several other dog parks and we've gone on many hikes on the coast, in the gorge, and in Mt. Hood forest. I have special connections with my friends' animals and I've enjoyed taking their dogs for walks since my boy passed last March. I'm a fourth-year doctoral graduate student at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) meaning my schedule can be pretty flexible. I have two full days of clinic per week and fill the rest of the week with writing and research. When I'm not in clinic I can work with my schedule to take your fur baby on walks, check in on them to let them out, or schedule an adventure! I can also come house sit or invite your pet over for the day or extended stay. I have a fenced in backyard with ample space for throwing the ball or lounging in the sun on a picnic blanket. We also live very close to a park for on leash walks or park hangs. Our fur baby passed in March 2026 but our one-level house is still set up to be accessible with rugs on the wood flooring for traction, plenty of blankets and comfy spots to sleep, and easy access to the back yard (just two steps). We allow animals on furniture but respect your rules if that's a boundary of yours!

We got lots and lots of pictures - so fun to see Coconut zooming around the yard or crashed out on Bowie's bed. “Sage was the perfect dog sitter for my 8 year old pomeranian. I will definitely use her again. Her expertise in dog training really helps because my dog can get quite aggressive when someone tries to leave the house, because he suffers from separation anxiety. My dog also requires being fed 3 times a day which can get quite difficult for someone who has children & pets if their own, which she has. “Love love love it all that they provided to our Tofu❤️Absolutely recommend Linda and her family hosting your fur babies. Our Tofu spent his best two weeks at their place with lots of walks, treats, and even baths when needed. They asked many questions before hand to get to know Tofu and arranged a visit as well. It was such a relief for us during our international trip where we had no access to text messages and major social media. However, Linda still offered to contact us via WhatsApp in order to send daily updates.”

“Tsitsiki was a thoughtful and sweet carertaker for my Gizmo! I knew he was going to be left in great hands after finding out that Tsitsiki volunteers at the humane society. My pup stayed with him for two weeks over the holidays and I enjoyed all of the videos and pictures that he sent. They went on a few adventures and Gizmo looked so calm and content.
