I have spent decades frequenting the lake county dog parks; studying their behaviors and interactions with other dogs and with people, which has been an invaluable learning experience for me. I am very tuned in to their body language, and very adept at reading their emotions. My home is on a 1/2 acre fenced in wooded lot with a cabin like interior and country atmosphere that is both welcoming , safe, and fun for my dog guests, and I make it a top priority to treat your dogs like family. I also have lake access with a private beach if your dog(s) like to swim. I frequent the lake county dog parks and would love to take your dogs along if that is something you are comfortable with. I am very flexible - and typically available 7 days per week. I am available nights, weekends, and holidays. Ideally allow for two days advance notice. Safety is my top priority. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in lot, and a very warm and comfortable dog friendly home, that was once a summer cottage close to Round Lake. I am on a quiet dead end road which is very safe for walks, as well as freedom to roam the yard. My goal is to customize my services to meet your dogs needs, whatever they may be. I will treat your pets as I do my own- like family- lots of fun, exercise and plenty of TLC.

When I care for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space and routines with the same respect I’d want for my own. I make sure each pet feels comfortable and secure by keeping their normal feeding, walking, and play schedules consistent. I give lots of affection and attention, but I also pay close attention to any special instructions; whether that’s medications, preferred walking routes, or favorite toys. During overnight stays, I make sure the home stays tidy and that pets feel calm and cared for throughout the night.

About: Hello, pet parents! Your pup is in for a treat! I enjoy going on adventures! We check out state parks, forest preserves and beaches during our time together. I take lots and lots of photos to help capture the magic and share the fun with you. Of course for pets with more of a relaxed temperament, cuddles, belly rubs and more low key quality time is also greatly enjoyed. I look forward to spending time with your pup! I work from 9am-5pm, 5 days a week, so any time I'm not at work, your pet receives my undivided attention and care. I'm very detail oriented and tidy. What ever your dogs routine is, I'll adapt. I'm also a neat freak so I do a great job of leaving your place cleaner than you left it.

Although my husband and I decided not to get another dog, caring for dogs is still a passion of mine. My husband and I are very active and go on long walks almost every day, which means exercise will be a regular part of your dogs day! For your peace of mind, I’ll always walk your dog on a leash. If you have a fenced yard, we can enjoy a fun game of fetch. About: I just graduated from UMass Amherst with a degree in Pre-Veterinary Science. I have grown up with pets and taken care of them for years! I’ve had dogs, cats, chickens, hamsters, guinea pigs, and fish! I have a lot of experience taking care of animals as I’ve interned at a zoo and volunteered at shelters and vet clinics. I’m very comfortable giving medications to pets as I’ve had a lot of practice with this with my own pets and while sitting! I am looking to move states in the coming months so I will not be available for long term sitting. My house has one kitten, and my backyard is not fenced in. About: I’ve taken care of and loved dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. From puppies/kittens to seniors and in between. And all sizes! I also have experience with special needs dogs, including my own collie who had lower jaw removal surgery. I’ve had 2 cats in this time from when they were young to seniors. About: I have numerous years of experience training and babysitting dogs and would love to be your furry friend’s new best friend. I am available for walks, drop in visits, or overnight care. I am new to Rover so please reach out for references! I am a student and working part-time so I will have plenty of time to hang out with your furry friend. I am available for 4-6 hours each day, times varying. I will let your pets out for a quick potty break or a long walk, whichever you prefer. I am comfortable hanging out and providing company to your pet as well as feeding and watering.
