About: I am moving back to Lake Villa for the summer from Boston. I am looking to make extra money. I have experience giving medicine to dogs (my dog has Addison disease). I am comfortable taking care of dogs of any size. My dog is a year and a half old and is 70 pounds. I love taking dogs on walks. I am more than comfortable staying at a house to care for your dog or do drop ins. I am a reliable, responsible, respectful and committed person who would take care of your dog the best. I have been responsible overnight pet sitter for 3 previous family friends, worked at a doggy daycare for 1.5 years, provided drop in visits since I was 15 for dogs, cats, reptiles, amphibians, rodents and fish, and have owned my own pet ever since I could remember! About: Ive taken care of family members dogs before. I’ve also had experience with puppies and adult dogs! I have 1 dog of my own and it would be fun to be able to take care of other dogs as well :) I work part time and most of my afternoons I’m free! I always love going on walks in the afternoons anyways so having someone to walk with would be awesome! I have a fenced yard and a crate inside if needed. I do have kids but they’re all very gentle with our animals here at home.

I have spent decades frequenting the lake county dog parks; studying their behaviors and interactions with other dogs and with people, which has been an invaluable learning experience for me. I am very tuned in to their body language, and very adept at reading their emotions. My home is on a 1/2 acre fenced in wooded lot with a cabin like interior and country atmosphere that is both welcoming , safe, and fun for my dog guests, and I make it a top priority to treat your dogs like family. I also have lake access with a private beach if your dog(s) like to swim. I frequent the lake county dog parks and would love to take your dogs along if that is something you are comfortable with. I am very flexible - and typically available 7 days per week. I am available nights, weekends, and holidays. Ideally allow for two days advance notice. Safety is my top priority. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in lot, and a very warm and comfortable dog friendly home, that was once a summer cottage close to Round Lake. I am on a quiet dead end road which is very safe for walks, as well as freedom to roam the yard. My goal is to customize my services to meet your dogs needs, whatever they may be. I will treat your pets as I do my own- like family- lots of fun, exercise and plenty of TLC.
