About: Dogs have always been a part of my life, I grew up with them in the house for as long as I can remember and have cared for a wide variety of breeds over the years. I’ve naturally become the go-to pet sitter for friends and family because I’m reliable, responsible, and truly enjoy making sure pets feel comfortable, loved, and cared for. I currently have three dogs of my own: a German Shorthaired Pointer mix, a Sheepadoodle, and a Basset Hound puppy. Caring for them has given me hands-on experience with different breeds, personalities, energy levels, and training needs. I’ve worked on puppy training, on- and off-leash training, basic obedience, and even fun activities like frisbee work. I believe dogs are family, and I treat every pet I care for with that same level of love, patience, and attention. I take pride in being dependable and keeping owners updated so they can feel confident their pets are in good hands. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, happy, and included while they’re in my care. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize pet care. I am a teacher and only work very part-time hours during the summer, Monday–Thursday, so I have plenty of time before and after work for feeding, walks, playtime, and companionship. My schedule allows me to be home often and provide consistent care, attention, and supervision throughout the week. I provide pet care with safety, trust, and comfort as my top priorities. During in-home visits, I follow each pet’s routine and their owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medication needs (if applicable), exercise, and any special preferences. I make sure pets have a safe, calm environment while providing attention, playtime, and companionship. For walks, I focus on keeping pets secure with proper leash handling, being aware of the surroundings, and adjusting the pace and activity level to each pet’s needs. I treat every home and pet with respect, communicate updates with owners, and make sure pets feel comfortable and cared for while they are in my care.
About: Hi there! I have been watching animals for the past 20 years (both my own and friends'). I currently have a cat named Kona and a dog named Indy. Kona is full of spunk and has a great personality. She has experience living with dogs and is well socialized. Indy is still a playful puppy and a bit of a goofball. He’s well socialized and loves to play with other dogs (both large and small). In terms of care experience, I have experience with training and building social confidence. I also have significant experience working with senior cats and dogs: mobility issues, medications, blindness/deafness, seizures, and incontinence. As a recent puppy adopter, I also have experience with younger animals and can help with socialization, training, etc. I’m currently working hybrid, so have flexibility for walks and drop in visits. I have a preference for walks in the early morning and late afternoon / evening. I have a fenced in yard and live near the 606 trail. We often take walks around the neighborhood and play a bit in the backyard.
About: Hello! I would make a great addition to you and your pet(s) experience while you are away! I have been responsible overnight pet sitter for 3 previous family friends, worked at a doggy daycare for 1.5 years, provided drop in visits since I was 15 for dogs, cats, reptiles, amphibians, rodents and fish, and have owned my own pet ever since I could remember! I feel that I have a natural ability to create a safe bond with all animals and exhibit calm and caring demeanor when around all animals. Although I am very energetic and would love to take your dog on walks, I understand that cannot happen due to health and age restrictions. A little bit about me personally, I am a substitute teacher for kids with special needs going back to school online at Loyola University for my Masters in special education. I enjoy being outside when the weather is nice, reading, cooking, and going to the lake or dog park with my own pet! Thank you for reading my profile and I would love to be your next pet caregiver🐶🐱🐢🐸🐭🐠💕 I work full time and spend my early mornings and afternoons spending time with my pet by taking him on walks, going to the dog park or forest preserve, and having leisure time outside. I have the weekends off and do not tend to work for more than 8 hours a day. I care for pets in others homes by providing surveillance at all times and making it my number one concern. I love to play with their favorite toys, give a lot of attention or provide space depending on the dogs mood. I am cleanly, respectful of property, and flexible with all situations and requests

“Samantha has been wonderful! She responds right away, early and sends updates with several pictures. Roxy is a timid girl with a load bark, it can be intimidating at first, Samantha was very relaxed and professional! We just booked another week with Samantha and will recommend to friends.”

“Sam is a wonderful sitter! Extremely respectful and responsive. My cat adores having her over and I have complete peace of mind knowing he is in good hands! She has taken care of my cat for short and extended periods, and she even watched out for my plants! Highly recommend her!”

About: Some dogs need more than a sitter—they need someone who understands their fire. I specialize in caring for the bold, the stubborn, and the wonderfully rebellious (likely referred to as reactive) pups that others often turn away. With a training style rooted in positive reinforcement (yes, plenty of treats), I help even the toughest personalities feel safe, understood, and engaged. I avoid labeling dogs as “reactive,” even though it’s become the norm—I prefer positive terms like high‑drive that honor their energy and potential. From high‑drive Malinois and German Shepherds to clever Australian Shepherds, spirited Corgis, and the gentle giants like Mastiffs and Cane Corsos, these dogs aren’t just clients—they’re my best friends. Here, every dog gets the patience they deserve, the structure they crave, and a companion who truly gets them. Pet care is woven into my everyday life. I work part‑time in a dog kennel, so caring for dogs isn’t just a job—it’s truly my passion. I dedicate three full days each week to dog sitting, and I’m also available most weekday evenings. Spending my time with dogs, especially the rebellious and high‑drive ones, is simply part of who I am. When I care for pets, the dog’s needs always come first. I follow their routine, provide structure, and make sure they feel safe, understood, and engaged. I also take plenty of photos and videos of our playtime and daily activities, sharing them with the dog parents so they can relax and enjoy their time away knowing their pup is happy and well cared for.

“Brianna took amazing care of my 3 kitties. They absolutely loved her. Her communication was excellent and my cats barely noticed I was even gone. She did the cutest arts and crafts projects with them, brushed them, took out the trash and left my place spotless (other than the amazing arts and crafts I came home to.) All of my instructions were followed perfectly, she never left any trash behind, and brought so many treats and toys for the kitties! She came to meet the kitties ahead of time and bonded with them so fast. I would trust Brianna with my cats in a heartbeat and I don’t even trust my parents with them.”

“Ayla is awesome! Trustworthy and attentive. She brings a good, calming energy that is needed for my very excitable dog. I specifically booked her because of her PM availability. I work 12 hour night shifts I and needed someone to let my dog out for a pee break around 11pm. She also takes great care of my cats when I’m away for the weekend. It gives me great peace of mind to leave my pets in her care!”

Chris was quick to respond to my last minute request and very accommodating in fitting in a meet and greet the evening before we needed his services. He was friendly, knowledgeable (about the app, which I'm not) and my dogs loved him. We felt comfortable letting Chris into our home to take care of our furry children. He kept us updated and sent lots of pics. We would certainly use his services in the future.
Brittany is beyond amazing. She is one of the few people that we know we can still go on trips with the comfort of her visits. Knowing Brittany is taking expert care of our sweet, but high maintenance dog. She goes above and beyond in all she does and we are very grateful.

Hope was absolutely wonderful as our drop-in sitter! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared so much about our dog. It gave us real peace of mind knowing our pup was in such good hands while we were away. She sent great updates and photos, which we really appreciated, and it was obvious our dog felt comfortable and happy with her. Hope went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of, and we came home to a relaxed and well-cared-for dog. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate sitter!

Valerie was absolutely amazing with our dog during a very chaotic time for our family. We were in the middle of moving, and with all the stress and changes in the house, our dog had a couple of unexpected issues come up. Valerie handled everything calmly, confidently, and with so much care. She kept us updated, reassured us, and truly went above and beyond. We honestly could not have asked for a better sitter. We are so grateful for her!!

Anays and Francis helped out with my dog while I was out of town for 6 days with 2 walks a day. He was staying with a family member that doesn’t walk much so their help was wonderful. I am beyond impressed with Anays’ thorough reports via the app with pictures and notes on how the walk went and how far they walked. It gave me the peace of mind I needed while I was away!

Haley has been incredible, this is my first experience with Rover and I had a lot of questions. Thankfully, Haley was more than equipped to answer anything and everything I asked. I have a younger dog that does bark at new people, Haley took it all in stride, moving slow, allowing for sniffs and other close investigations. Within minutes they were best friends. There is still a little barking when Haley first arrives, but my dog quickly settles down and races outside for playtime. Haley asks me what my preferences are for the dogs and always follows up to ensure that my needs are understood. I LOVE the report cards and photos after each session. Seeing my dogs happy smiling faces after she visits with them makes me feel so at ease. Very, very happy to have found her!
