I've been walking dogs since high school and truly enjoy spending time with all breeds and personalities. As a proud owner of two large dogs myself (a large and a giant breed) I understand the special attention, exercise, and affection they need. Your dog will be in caring, capable hands! I currently work a hybrid job Monday through Friday, with occasional in-office or facility visits, but primarily from home. This means I’m mostly available on weekends, and I can also offer weekday drop-ins or daytime care, especially if your home has Wi-Fi so I can work while keeping your pet company! 😊 I believe an active dog is a happy dog! I love taking dogs on walks around the neighborhood, playing fetch, and giving them time to run and explore. “MEGAN WAS AMAZING! See below 😸 First: This was my first ever Rover experience, as I only just got my 7 month old Siamese cat Jax back in November, so this whole process is still new to me. Second: I had booked 10 days of 30 minute drop-in visits during the holidays (Dec. 23-Jan. 1) so I was initially worried about the length of time I would be away from him… However there was NO WORRY AT ALL! She was very confident; reassured me that it would be fine, especially given her veterinary experience. In addition, she was extremely patient with me when I asked her for help setting up my Amazon Echo Show so I could monitor him through my home security camera system. Tech stuff like that does not always get explained easy so extra kudos to her just for that 👍🏽 Will definitely book for her services again!”

About: I’ve been taking care of others dogs since I was about 14 or 15 since I wasn’t allowed to have a dog in my home. Unfortunately, I’m not in a place to take care of a dog full time, but I love taking care of them for others! Right now I am bouncing around different small jobs that don’t take up too much time of my day, and I like to stay busy:) I am very respectful on clients needs and rules. If there is ever something I consider doing outside of that, I will communicate it well.

About: I’ve taken care of pets since middle school. First, myself had many different types of pets before. Like cat, dog, ferret, Chinchilla… second, because I’m not afraid of any size or type of animal, so my friends will always ask me to take care of their pets when they’re out for vacation. I’m currently working as a part time job, because I’m a rising senior at high school so I can’t put all my time on this. But I’m willing to do as much as I can, like 3 or 4 days a week is not a problem. Because I just enjoy the happiness animals bring to me. I don’t really have a pets in my house right now, but I used to. The closest time is when I was living in my sister’s house for a year, she has a big size dog, that’s a not very independent baby. And my sister is always busy so I basically fully take care of him every day. Apart from the most basic requirements such as eating, drinking and going out for a walk, I can also handle any emergency that arises very easily. For instance, sudden vomiting or the dog's sudden dash when it is uneasy or scared during a walk.

About: I have lots of experience with cats and dogs, big or small. I’m comfortable with dogs, cats, rats, rabbits, reptiles, and fish! I have experience giving injections and oral meds and I’m super comfortable with doing so. Also, I have experience watching pets post-op, as well as puppies and dogs with anxiety. Pet care can easily fit into my routine as I have 8 hour school days but afternoons free to spend with your pets! I also have some days completely off if you need 24/7 companionship for you pet. Please reach out if your pet is okay alone 8 hours at a time. I can fit you into my schedule as your family needs. I can crate your dog, or let them roam and hang out with me if they are house trained! I am used to having a dog around the house and I hope to make a good companion for them while you’re away! Don’t worry, if they normally sleep in the bed with you, I love dog cuddles!

About: Ever since I was a kid, I've had love and fascination for all kinds of animals - including dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, crickets, even fishflies! I understood from a young age that each living creature has a place and a purpose on this planet, and that it's our job as humans to respect them. My experience with pet care first began with a family goldfish, and eventually a couple of parakeets. I quickly learned that there are responsibilities that come with not only physically taking care of a pet, but tending to their emotional needs as well. In 2018, I started taking care of my loved ones' pets when they were out of town or just needed a little extra help - ranging from my brother's dog to my best friend's cat. I have devoted my attention in these situations to ensuring that the pets are well fed and hydrated, they've received appropriate stimuli from either walks or playtime, and that they've received extra snuggles (if they want them!) I understand that it's also important to take care of the pets' owners as well, so I've prided myself in being an excellent communicator. In 2021, a sweet little peanut came into my life - a smushy-faced, Shar Pei mutt named Mischief. He has lived up to his name, but in a good way! We have spent the past four years munching on carrots (his favorite), going on long walks at the park, and burying ourselves under the covers on rainy days. He has made me a very happy dog mom, and from the very beginning we have had a special emotional bond that still amazes me to this day. In short, I have had quite a few years of experience with taking care of pets, and I have proven myself to be communicative and reliable. I have a big heart for all creatures, big & small, and I have more than enough love to go around! I work remotely and I live in a walkable area, so whether I am needed for a quick walk/drop-in while the pet owner is out of the house or at work, I have ample time throughout the day to take care of the pet. For any new pet, I understand that a bit of acclimation is necessary to gain the pet's trust. If the owner would like, I can meet the pet ahead of time to determine its temperance level and I'll respect any special needs that the pet has. I will cater my behavior and energy level towards the pet so that it doesn't become overwhelmed. I also have the strength and endurance to take pets for long walks and maintain good leash control. Lastly, I know a number of First Aid / CPR tactics for both dogs & cats alike, and I have the aptitude to learn anything else that is necessary for the pet's care.
