To show my parents I was responsible enough to have a dog of my own, I started walking my neighbors' pups around the neighborhood at 11 years old. From Cairn Terrier to Bernese Mountain Dog, no breed was too big or bark-y. Needless to say, we got a puppy! I have a soft spot for shy creatures and the patience to win them over on their own timeline. About: I am super responsible, patient and love dogs! I take care of and play with my friends' dogs frequently (Bean who's a golden and Odin who's a border collie). I enjoy taking them on walks and runs, in particular going to parks and along the piers or waterfront. I also love taking pictures of them so I will be sure to send tons of updates throughout the day~ I work from home some days with a flexible schedule and I can go on walks in the early morning and late afternoon. About: I have a strong connection to dogs. I have helped train dogs to deal with their anxiety using communication through body language. I do this by learning about their personalities and creating a bond of friendship and help teaching them how to properly communicate their needs. For the last year I helped a good friend of mine start a dog sitting business from her home so I have been around a lot of dogs and learned to maneuver many different situations and how to handle multiple dogs at once. I have a very flexible work schedule and can walk dogs at any time of the day or dog sit while you are at work or on vacation, I give them all of the attention that they need and can take up to 3 walks with them a day. I take as many pictures or videos of the day for the owner as wanted. I focus on keeping their needs met to maintain their routine. I help create a safe relaxed and comfortable environment so that they are happy and can have minimal separation anxiety from their owner. About: I've had pets my whole life, growing up in Michigan with everything from dogs to raccoons and deer. Dogs have always been a big part of my family, and I know the joy they can bring to anyone's life. My two senior Miniature Pinschers, Bill and Luci, taught me invaluable lessons in patience and helping pets feel comfortable in new environments and on walks. While they're no longer with me, the wisdom they imparted continues to guide my approach to dog care. I'm no longer new to Rover! I've gained extensive experience walking for a dog walking company near downtown, so I'm very familiar with a variety of local dog parks and routes. I love dogs of all sizes, shapes, and ages. Here's a quick list of activities I offer for your pup: Dog Walking, Daily Visits/Stop-Ins, Potty Breaks, Dog Park Trips. Let's go for a walk! I’m currently seeking my next career and starting a small business, so I have lots of free time to walk the neighborhood and get exercise. My two cats have a free rein of my apartment including a catio that allows them to be outside on the fire escape, without running free. I have attempted to introduce them to dogs, but unfortunately, I think they are best at being friends with each other, and not introducing new animals into the mix. For this reason, I am willing to do in-home visits, but not overnight stay at my house.
