About: As a dancer, choreographer, and yoga teacher, I bring a lot of energy, patience, and attentiveness to pet care. I enjoy staying active and am happy to keep up with energetic dogs who need longer walks, playtime, or enrichment activities. At the same time, I understand the importance of slowing down and providing a calm, reassuring presence for pets who prefer a quieter pace. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I provide attentive, personalized care and treat every animal as if they were my own. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats. As a dog owner, I'm comfortable with puppies and can help reinforce routines such as leash manners, potty schedules, crate training, and basic commands. I also understand the importance of balancing exercise, enrichment, rest, and consistency. In addition to dog care, I have experience caring for cats. Most recently, a group of friends and I coordinated care for a friend's cat while she was undergoing cancer treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering. This experience reinforced the importance of reliability, communication, and making sure pets feel safe and cared for during stressful times. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, enrichment activities, or simply companionship and a calm presence, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and positive experience. I believe in clear communication and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work remotely and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to be attentive to pets throughout the day and accommodate walks, feedings, playtime, and check-ins as needed. As a dog owner myself, daily walks, exercise, training, and enrichment are already part of my life. I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, so adding additional walks or pet visits fits easily into my routine. I also understand the importance of consistency and maintaining the schedules that pets are used to. Because I work a four-day workweek and have flexibility in my evenings and weekends, I am often available for drop-in visits, walks, overnight care, and last-minute support when families need an extra hand. I focus on maintaining the routines, environment, and level of care that pets are already familiar with. In a client's home, I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and household instructions carefully so pets can remain comfortable in their own space. I make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, play, and companionship while also respecting their individual personalities and needs. For dogs, this may include walks, playtime, enrichment activities, basic training reinforcement, and quiet downtime. For cats, I provide feeding, litter box maintenance, play, and companionship while allowing them to engage at their own comfort level. I understand that communication is important. I provide regular updates and photos so owners know how their pets are doing while they're away. Safety, reliability, and compassion are at the center of how I approach pet care. My goal is always to help pets feel secure, comfortable, and well cared for until their families return.
“James was very communicative and did an excellent job taking care of my two very shy cats while I was away for Christmas. I appreciated the daily updates and that he stopped by to get the tour of my apartment beforehand!”

“Reliable and flexible sitter, was able to drop in twice a day for an extended period of time! Attentive and did all that was asked. Highly recommend !!”

“Shanna did an amazing job caring for my cats while I was away on a much-needed vacation. From our initial meeting, my cats took to her right away, which was such a relief! She was very responsive and shared thoughtful, detailed updates in each Rover card. I genuinely looked forward to reading them after every visit. It was clear she cared for Skylar & Jackson as if they were her own. I was able to feel at ease during my trip because I knew they were in good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Edvard was very attentive during my first scheduled drop in. He carved out time to meet with Kosi and I prior to his scheduled visit. He also provided me with pictures after his visit. We will definitely be working with him in the future!”
“Omolayo was great! This was my first time using Rover so I was a bit nervous but I felt very safe with her in my home and with my fur baby. She sent pictures every day of giving him treats and playtime. Will definitely contact her again for future visits!”

About: In addition to pet sitting, I’m also a dog trainer! I went to school for animal science and I am a veterinary technician student. I ALWAYS knew this was what I wanted to do. I have tons of experience dealing with different types of animals and I’d love to use that same passion to help keep your babies safe and happy! I currently work full-time, but I am able to dedicate time to the animals being that they can join me at work. I’m available everyday of the week for boarding, but for other services my availability varies. I use crates to ensure the safety of the animals anytime I’m away. I also live with my partner who enjoys taking care of the animals with me.
About: Hey, I’m Chandler from Brooklyn, NY. People say I look like a big teddy bear, and I guess that fits. I’m laid-back, patient, and super gentle with pets. I’ve been around dogs and cats my whole life and love hanging out with all kinds: energetic pups who need hikes and fetch, chill seniors who just want cuddles, or cats who rule the house. I’m all about keeping their routine, giving them plenty of attention, fresh food/water, walks at their speed, and sending you pics/updates so you don’t miss anything. My days are structured around part-time gigs and local errands, leaving plenty of room for pet sitting. I’m available for house sitting (overnight stays) or drop-in visits, typically scheduling 1–2 clients at a time to give each pet focused care. For example, I can commit to 2–3 drop-ins daily (30–60 minutes each) or full-time house sitting, especially in Manhattan or nearby boroughs where I navigate easily. As a local, I navigate NYC’s hustle with ease, from Manhattan’s high-rises to Queens’ cozy apartments. I know the best pet-friendly spots for a quick stroll or playtime, keeping your pet’s routine seamless. My bond with cats means I can sense their mood—whether they want a laser pointer chase, a quiet perch, or extra cuddles. For dogs, I match their vibe with fetch or calm hangouts. Plus, I handle extras like feeding, litter scooping, or grabbing your mail. Clients love my chill, trustworthy vibe and the daily photo updates I send to show your pet’s having a blast (check my Rover reviews!). My cat-whisperer intuition ensures your furry friend feels like family.

“I have booked Blu over and over again and highly recommend her. My cats have always been taken care of, she sends photos every single day, and she always communicates whenever there had been an issue. Love her!”

“Lynn took excellent care of our two little doggies! They were loved up, cleaned and fed. She did wonderful check-in’s with us so my little girl felt at ease. We can’t thank her enough and highly recommend her!”
“Ashanti is the best! She’s been very sweet to my baby yumi. She’s very thoughtful, a good communicator and trust worthy :) highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Kimberly has been so amazing taking care of my cat Dexter! She's very punctual, communicative, and flexible. A flight left me stranded for a few days and unable to return when I expected, but she was so kind to let me extend my booking, so I could have the peace of mind knowing that Dexter was well-cared for.”

About: I have fostered 8 dogs (so far!) and helped them find homes. Caring for dogs of different ages, temperaments and needs has taught me so much. I have experience with both dogs and cats (and birds and fish!). I work as a substitute teacher, giving me flexibility to take pet-sitting jobs on short notice. I am also available for overnight pet-sitting and longer house-sitting bookings. As a dog foster, I have learned to be exceptionally careful with new dogs. Respecting their space, while being friendly and encouraging. Taking extra precautions when leaving the house or letting them out into the yard. I understand that change and new people can be stressful to a dog and am careful to avoid additional stressors. I feel immense responsibility for the pets in my care, as well as other pets and people we encounter on walks. I also want the dogs to have fun and relax when we are at home. I really enjoy getting to know new dogs and hope they see me as a new friend ☺️
Brownsville pet parents share their Rover experiences
Rhea was awesome. She seamlessly integrated into what our needs were, helped set up a plan, and then executed with precision and care. I never felt more comfortable leaving the country for a week as my concerns were addressed up front and I was kept well informed throughout, even when I needed to make special requests during the trip. I will absolutely use her again. Top notch!!! Regards, Ray (happy dad of two kittens)

This was the third time Kate took care of Xtina. She came by every day to look after X during my 12 days away. Kate sent cute updates every day (pics and a note) so I knew my cat was being well taken care of. Kate is reliable, consistent, and thoughtful. Looking forward to working with you again soon!

There isn’t a better person on Rover. Madeline was considerate, curious, great with my cat, and went above and beyond whenever she could. I was thrilled she made a strong connection with my cat and was clear, communicative, and thoughtful throughout the booking. Best sitter ever.

Julia is an incredible cat sitter and goes above and beyond with your pets. We even had a gas leak situation in the building which she alerted us on and took all of the respective steps to ensure our cats were safe. Would recommend her to anyone who cares about their pets.
