“Sharon took wonderful care of our Batman. Ensuring he was eating and taking his meds. She provided feedback and was responsive. I feel comfortable with her staying in my home and at ease he will be ok. Thanks again”

“Kat was great! I was in a last minute crunch to find a sitter and she came through eager and experienced! 🙌🏽 The meet and greet went well and she handled my big 97lb baby beautifully. Plenty of updates and the house was clean upon return. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Kat!”

“Corinne took such great care of our dogs! This was a last minute trip and the first time we left our puppy, so we were nervous. Corinne treated our dogs as her own and we were able to leave and enjoy ourselves knowing the dogs were in good hands!”

“We had a great experience! Claire was easy to communicate with, kept us updated with photos throughout the stay, and took wonderful care of our dogs. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our pup was in good hands while on vacation. We would definitely book with Claire again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

“Lauryn did an amazing job taking care of my fur baby. Not only was she available on short notice but she kept me updated with pics and check ins. He has some medical issues and she was able to navigate those and alert me as needed. Highly recommend!”

“We were nervous about leaving our fur babies having had a negative experience (not through Rover) in the past but Cara was amazing! She took the time to meet us and our puppies ahead of time, rolled with it when our one dog became two as we adopted our dog’s littermate only two weeks beforehand. She was super communicative sending us pictures and videos. We knew our dogs were getting lots of love and that our house was well cared for!!! I hope we can book Cara again in the future.”

“We were very upfront with Marsha that our rescue dog can be slightly aggressive and does not like strangers—we had almost given up on finding a sitter. Although Marsha never rushed the process, always listened to our concerns, and used techniques that helped our pup build trust slowly. She’s a great communicator with lots of messages, pictures and video. It was so nice to be away and not feel concerned. She’s a great sitter for anxious pups!”

“Alicia truly is a Super Star Sitter. Right from my first contacts with her everything went so smoothly for me. She was a big help getting me started with using the app but by far her work as a sitter for my two dogs was phenomenal. Along with all the many small things that are so important with watching our dogs. I will be booking her again just as soon as I can. She is awesome. Thank you.”

“Ashely did absolutely amazing with Winnie! I could tell our pup had lots of fun and was well taken care of, and we got lots of pictures and videos of our baby throughout the week!”

“Maya was amazing! She checked in on Joey multiple times throughout the day and was great at updating me with pictures of them playing, going on walks, or just hanging out at the house. She was very trustworthy and did a great job communicating. Joey loved her and was in great spirits when I got home from my trip. I will definitely be rebooking Maya for future pet care.”

“Tori did a great job. She came by our house prior to her engagement and we went over everything I expected. She was delightful then and paid a lot of attention to my sweet goldendoodle Lucy. “Eleanor did a fantastic job looking after my little princess Pom while I was out of town for the night. Bea was happy when I got home, and Eleanor left my place neat and tidy. Eleanor is great with communication and sent lots of pics. We’re already booked for my next trip!”

“Max was a wonderful pet sitter for my pup!! She didn’t even seem that excited that I was home after a week, which let me know she’d been happy and well cared for. Max also provided just the right level of contact - not too little, not too much - while I was away. Highly recommend!”

“She’s great!! Came over last minute to watch our Frenchie. Very responsive and left the house just like she found it. Sent us pics of the little fur baby and kept us up to speed on everything. Love her!”

“Becky was wonderful and got along well with our 3 dogs of very different personalities. She sent lots of updates and great photos. She was also flexible to help out a little extra when we had some travel delays. Excellent!!!”

“Perfect as always. Communicated well while we were away and Oliver has bonded to Stephanie very well. We trust her to take good care of Oliver and our home. Thank you Stephanie!”

Mallory was wonderful. Mister is an older dog who requires special love and she delivered. She sent Pictures and videos throughout my trip which I very much appreciated. Definitely at the top of m6 list for future sits. Thanks so much Mallory.. from Mister and me!
Chris was amazing! Great communication and some great pics of our pups enjoying their time with him. Our pups were relaxed and happy when we came home and our house was spotless. This was our first experience with Chris and Rover, but it most certainly will not be our last.

We had a great experience! Claire was easy to communicate with, kept us updated with photos throughout the stay, and took wonderful care of our dogs. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our pup was in good hands while on vacation. We would definitely book with Claire again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.

Rebecca was absolutely fantastic! This was our first Rover experience and it couldn't have gone better for us. With having 5 dogs and 2 cats boarding is never an option . Rebecca met with us twice beforehand to help make us comfortable and go over all instructions. Such a wonderful person to work with! I cant say enough about how relaxed and confident everything was going to be fine while we were gone. Will absolutely use her again for any and all pet sitting needs.
It's always kind of nerve-wracking to trust someone to care for your pets and your home when you're away, especially when you've had some not-so-great experiences in the past. Jenna was so nice at the meet and greet and I felt optimistic when we left town. She was very communicative and considerate while we were away! She sent daily updates and photos so I always knew the dogs were in good hands. I always try to make sure we leave the house clean and tidy when someone will be staying at our house, and Jenna left it just as she found it! It was such a relief to come home to happy pets, and a clean home. I would highly recommend Jenna for housesitting, and I will definitely rebook her in the future!

Brooke has watched our cats and more recently our bearded dragon. She has been amazing with our animals, even getting our senior cat to play with new toys. She is great at communicating updates and was even able to accommodate a last minute schedule change for our last booking.

Maya was amazing! She checked in on Joey multiple times throughout the day and was great at updating me with pictures of them playing, going on walks, or just hanging out at the house. She was very trustworthy and did a great job communicating. Joey loved her and was in great spirits when I got home from my trip. I will definitely be rebooking Maya for future pet care.

Clarisa took great care of my 2 senior dogs and one senior cat for a week while I was away for 5 days. She was very sweet my pets, and they were happy and content when I got home as if I had never been gone. Exactly what you hope for! Clarisa was very communicative with me during the trip and sent daily photos of them which is always comforting. I highly recommend her services for your pets!

Jenni was an excellent dog sitter for our 2 dogs. She is friendly and very communicative. We received regular updates with pictures on walks and questions when necessary. Our dogs were happy when we got home and clearly well cared for. I would rebook Jenni again!

Isabel took excellent care of our two dogs in our home while we were out of town for a week. I appreciated her check-ins and pictures. She went above and beyond our expectations. Our dogs are not always the easiest to walk and she still walked each of them every day. Thank you!!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Grantwood Village on Rover is $33.3 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,700 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Grantwood Village. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Grantwood Village walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Grantwood Village maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Grantwood Village choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Grantwood Village. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
