Top rated Glastonbury house sitters

“Our pets and home were well taken care of with Shannon! In the past we had difficulty finding someone who actually offers house sitting, and we felt so much more comfortable on this trip knowing our pets were in good hands and never alone for too long. Her updates gave us peace of mind while we were out of the country. We came home to a tidy house and happy pets. 🐾”

“So happy that we have Alyssa nearby as a pet and housesitter. She was great at entertaining our german shepherd and gentle with our cats. Then went above and beyond taking care of our house while we were gone. Will definitely use her again!”

“Elena G. was the perfect choice. This was a long-term assignment and she met him first to be sure it was a good fit. Our dog NEVER lets anyone pet him or will take a cookie from a hand and he did on the first meet. She kept us informed each day on how he was doing. We will absolutely rebook with Elena.”

“Rebecca is absolutely amazing. This was the first time I left Woodie with a sitter besides my son. He was nervous at first, but she came over several times to make sure he was comfortable. She knew everything to do to make him comfortable. He did perfectly when we went out. I was not worried at all because I knew she had it handled. I of course will be using her anytime I want to go out.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets for my co-workers and friends for the past several years while they traveled out of town for an extended amount of time. I make sure to check-in every day, feed them, and make sure they get enough attention. I am raising money for marathons I have signed up for over the next year. I’m preparing to run the Marine Corps Marathon and aim to run the Boston Marathon. I usually work evenings from 3-11pm Wednesdays through Sundays and I will have time to take care of your pet in the mornings before I get ready for work. When I am in charge of your pet, I make sure sure they have the food the need to remain healthy, give them a walk when they need it, and provide them with enough attention.

“Finn was well cared for and very happy to have spent the day with Lucy. We will be scheduling more time with Lucy and would confidently recommend her to others.”

“It’s so important to come home to happy and relaxed fur kids! Josh takes great care of them and the peace of mind of having Josh in the house while we are away is priceless!”

“Brien took my request to housesit my 2 dogs at the last minute when my previous boarder cancelled. He took great care of my babies & was fantastic with communication & pictures while I was away. Additionally, he was very accommodating when my cleaners came while he was there. I'd definitely hire Brien again!”

“Jillian was great! Good communication and arrived early which was super helpful. I have a uncommon dog breed and she asked plenty of questions about them to better understand their mannerisms. Would absolutely book again. Thank you!”

“Palma was a pleasure to work with. She responds quickly to inquiries and is very prompt. She has a kind and sunny disposition and clearly loves animals. I felt so confident leaving our dog and home in her care. She sent us pics and updates which helped with our missing our pet. Everything in our home, and with our dog, was cared for with attention and detail. I would definitely use her again, and again!”

“Took great care of our pup!”

About: I have years of experience dog-sitting and cat-sitting for friends and clients, often staying at their homes to make sure pets feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. My friends trust me to care for their pets as if they were my own, and I'm committed to providing the best care possible! My schedule allows me to visit or walk your pet before and after work, Monday to Thursday (I work from 9 am to 5 pm) and Friday (I work remotely from 9 am to 12 pm). I am also available on weekends, Friday to Sunday, for pet sitting, so your pet will have plenty of attention and care even if you're away for an extended period! With years of experience in dog-sitting and cat-sitting, I understand the importance of creating a safe, calm, and loving environment for every pet in my care. I follow a consistent routine, ensuring pets feel secure and comfortable, and I take precautions to maintain a safe space within your home. I'm committed to reliable communication, sharing updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. By allowing each pet to approach me at their own pace, I foster trust and a positive bond, ensuring they feel comfortable and relaxed in my presence. Your pet's safety, happiness, and well-being are always my top priorities.

“If you’re looking for a reason to book someone-look no further, you won’t be disappointed in Joanna. Joanna and her daughter Amelia were fantastic! I was given updates about my pups consistently making my week vacation worry free with everything at home. Joanna works from home mainly so she was with my dogs throughout the day, major plus. They walked one of my dogs regularly and followed my wishes to not walk the older one, *due to arthritis he can’t do walks. My elderly dog who really doesn’t like people, especially young kids cuddled with Joanna’s daughter, Amelia! That was a sight to see, if she didn’t send the photo I wouldn’t believe it. Heartwarming to see that my angry at life dog was happily cuddling up with someone other than me, what more could you ask for when away from them? When I came home I could very much tell my dogs were taken care of with love and my house was in better shape than I left it for them. I will definitely be using Joanna and her daughter again for future trips.”

“Taylor was absolutely wonderful with our 3 month old puppy! We didn’t worry for one second knowing she was in such great hands. We appreciated Taylors check ins and photo updates :) I would recommend/we would love to have Taylor back in a heartbeat! Our pup misses her already!”

About: I have owned and been around dogs and cats my whole life. I started out working with small animals when I volunteered at the Connecticut Audubon Society when I was a child and teenager. I also worked at PetSmart in the their Pet Hotel doing doggy daycare. While there, I walked, fed, cleaned up after, and watched over groups of dogs of all shapes and sizes. I have also volunteered with Protectors of Animals at their cat shelter for about 2 years now. I have worked with cats of all ages and temperaments. My schedule is very open at the moment. I am able to check up on animals multiple times throughout a weekday and am also available on weekends. I am available to take care of pets in your home, whether you just need me to feed them and let them out a few times a day, or if your pet needs someone to stay with them for longer periods of time. I have reliable transportation in case of emergency. I am comfortable giving pills, but I am not trained on giving injections.

About: I’ve taken care of different types of animals for friends and family all throughout high school as well as helped another friend who uses Rover. I’ve taken care of animals including hamsters, rabbits, dogs, cats, and lizards. I unfortunately can’t house animals because of apartment rules but can provide frequent care, check ins, and over night care for your pets! I’m currently a part time student at a local college. Im in classes 3 days a week so I’m available most days of the week and every nights! While inside a clients home I’d treat it like my own, clean any mess made, lock doors and windows, feed and walk dogs, change cat litter, as well as any task a client ask be done.

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs when caretakers are gone overnight or on vacations over the last 9 years. So excited to watch your pet! I currently work a full time position from 8:30 to 5:00 pm. I also am enrolled in a masters program after school. I have free the majority of the days in the week after 5:00 pm or on weekends. I watch for cues to see how the pet is feeling. I have worked with pets that were anxious or sad about their owner being away. I make sure to play and entertain the pet to make sure they know they are loved and not alone.

About: Caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I have had my own dog for over 10 years, and since I was old enough to drive, I’ve regularly watched family friends’ dogs and cats, including pets that require special care or medications. While away at college, I had two wonderful clients outside of my personal circle of family and friends. One trusted me to care for their senior dog in my home, while the other had a high energy puppy that I loved taking on long, active walks. All in all, I would do anything to spend more time with animals, hence why I am here on rover. I truly enjoy being around all kinds of animals (my one dog at home just isn’t enough!) I currently have a completely free schedule, as I am still on the search for a job I can use my degree in. I am able to work any hours of the day or over nights. Whether I am caring for pets in or outside of your home, safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I keep a very pet-friendly environment, and can be trusted to follow any specific instructions required, especially when it comes to routines, medications, or other special needs. I treat every animal like they are my own (and maybe even a little more) and do everything I can to create and trusting and positive experience for them (and peace of mind for you!)

About: I grew up around animals on a farm. Have had dogs my whole life and cats. Love to walk with them and play. Getting to know their personalities is especially fun as they are all different and funny I have been in the medical field for over 30 years. I specialize in geriatrics as an LPN. I now work per dieum and caring for pets is very peaceful for me I would care for your pet in your home so the pet is comfortable and it’s less stressful. Mom/dad will be away and that’s stressful enough
