Janelle is amazing, i got stuck without my dog care for me dog John late on a Sunday evening, I sent Janelle a request upon learning of my dilemma. Janelle responded and i was able to deliver John the next morning. My John loves Janelle and her family and looks forward to his stay with her. Janelle service is awesome and is the only person that I trust John with. Janelle is the best!

Lisa was the best dog sitter. She was friendly, kind, and communicative. She helped us out so last minute. She took great care of our little Hunter. This was my first time using rover and I would definitely recommend Lisa to anyone. She responded to my concerned mom texts and sent pics of our pup hanging out outside. Hunter was smiling, happy, and seemed worn out after his stay with Lisa. We cannot thank her enough for all her help. Thank you so much Lisa!!!!! ?

I absolutely recommend Renee for pet sitting!! Renee watched our 2 year old Mini Goldendoodle for 3 weeks straight. We toggled between boarding and daycare each week. Renee walked our dog daily, gave him cuddles and obviously kept our pup safe. We joke that we came home to a better behaved dog. Renee was also flexible with us, for example, if we needed to switch day care to boarding, Renee made the switch easy. Renee is kind, compassionate and reliable. We are so thankful for her.

About: Ive been a dog owner all my life and have pet sat for many family and friends. Young or old, I love dogs and am ready to take care of your furry companion like they were one of my own. I am currently pet sitting full time, so I can watch your pet throughout the week or weekends as needed. Just walks are available throughout the day too. I have a fenced in back yard, as well as a medium sized crate for crating if needed. I currently don't have any pets of my own, but plenty of toys an activities for a fun doggy day! I also live close by a few parks and dog parks that can provide a nice field trip.

About: I have been taking care of pets since I was 12. I love every animal for their unique personality and quirks. I have had several clients over the past 10 years that came to me by word of mouth. I have had dogs from puppies to seniors. I do have a full time job but I work remotely most days. I am flexible so I can be there when they need me. All I need is WiFi. If I watch them in my home, we will meet ahead so I can assess how your dog will do with my dogs and cats. I have a fully fenced in yard in a safe neighborhood. If I watch them in your home I come by for a meet and greet.

About: I have been working with, owning, and training dogs of all shapes and sizes for over 15 years. I’ve trained many dogs over the last 10 years and helped owners overcome a variety of issues they’ve encountered along the journey of ownership. Ever since I was little, I have loved animals, especially dogs! I believe that every dog is an individual, with their own personalities, likes, dislikes, and needs. I understand the importance of caring for each dog differently, and giving them what they need to feel loved. As a trainer, my philosophy is love and positive reinforcement only. I do not believe in dominance, aggression, or negative reinforcement in any way. I will work with your dog, even while sitting or walking, to help them grow and unlearn bad habits and learn new ones! Every dog deserves love and attention no matter what, and your dog will always feel special while in my care. My schedule is currently open, so I’ll be spending 100% of my time with your pups! As of right now, my home is open for boarding to any dog that needs to be cared for overnight or during the day. I am also available to stay at your home and babysit overnight, and am happy to watch more than one dog at a time if necessary. If you have a dog and cat at home that need sitting, that is fine as well. I am okay with having multiple dogs in my home as long as they are well-socialized and can handle being around other dogs. All bookings will be discussed in advance with the owners to determine each individual dog’s needs prior to arrival. Each pups temperament will be assessed and careful attention will be paid to the safety and well-being of every dog that stays in my home. I am open to drop-ins and walks at an owner’s home as my schedule permits, however, I do not currently own a car so the visits would have to be local. As noted in my bio, I have been a dog trainer and owner for over 15 years, and have experience with all types of dog breeds and temperaments. I understand how to communicate and handle dogs with poor temperaments and nasty habits. I do not believe in any type of negative reinforcement (i.e. yelling, hitting, shaming, isolating, dominating, crating as punishment, using choke or shock collars, and scaring a dog in any way to achieve training goals). If your pup is dog-aggressive (meaning he or she cannot be around other dogs at all), please let me know right away so I can make sure not to book any other dogs at the same time. If your dog is a puppy, let me know in advance as well, so I can make sure to book him or her alone or with dogs that are tolerant to puppy-behavior. I just moved into my apartment in Hartford on West Boulevard, which is completely gated with all entrances requiring a specific code to enter the premises. There is a dog-walking area with waste bags and some grass for the dogs to use when going outside. The complex is surrounded by suburban neighborhoods with ample sidewalks and places to take a dog on long walks if necessary. I am new to the area so I’m hoping to eventually find a good location to play fetch with the dogs or allow them to run around off leash. Potty breaks can be taken whenever necessary as the exit to my apartment is right down the hall and out the door. My apartment is a newly renovated, 1-bedroom apartment and is kept extremely clean at all times. I have no problem cleaning up after a dog if he or she makes a mess or has an accident, but please let me know if this will be a problem in advance and we will discuss how to handle it. If the accidents are often, I may request a small fee for regular or repeated cleanups, as they can cost money if real damage is done. Destructive chewers should come with something reliable to chew on and keep them busy. If your dog has separation anxiety, please let me know before booking so I can make the necessary accommodations. If your dog has any specific quirks or habits that are need to know, please be sure to inform me prior to booking so I can take care of your baby’s needs. Please bring anything that your dog would usually need on a daily basis, including toys, leashes, harnesses, waste bags, blankets, treats, and even a bed or crate if necessary. Your dog will be taken care of as if it were my own, I understand that your dog is like your child and is therefore a member of your family. As a dog-mom, I know how scary it can be to leave your baby with a stranger. I promise to make your pup feel at home and welcome at all times, and will do everything I can to make your baby comfortable and feel loved throughout their visit. You will see photos of me and my dog Cloud in my profile who is now 6 but is with his dad in Hamden at this time. I rescued him from Georgia after his pregnant mother was abandoned on the side of the road, and raised him since he was 6 months old.

Noel and Martha were absolutely wonderful! Their home is perfect for fur babies and our 7mo pup had an amazing time. He was exhausted by the end of the day after all the fun and play. They kept us updated throughout the day and sent plenty of photos showing him playing, eating, and relaxing. It was such a blessing to have peace of mind knowing he was being taken care of and enjoying himself at that. We highly recommend and will definitely rebook in the future!

Catherine is absolutely amazing! She promptly responds to messages and we were able to schedule an introductory meeting. My dog absolutely loves going to see Catherine and spending the day with her. She provided picture and video updates during the day which was very reassuring. She is very active and ensured that my dog received more than enough play time and exercise. I can go on and on about Catherine. I am thankful that we found her, she truly takes care of my dog like if it is her own. Highly recommend!

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Glastonbury

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Glastonbury on Rover is $44.4 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 632 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Glastonbury. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Glastonbury commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 632 sitters in Glastonbury, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
