About: I grew up taking care of our family dogs as well as having my own dogs as an adult. Sadly, my pup passed away earlier this year and while I am not ready to get another dog of my own, I am excited to help care for yours and give you peace of mind while you are away. I have had little and big dogs in my life and am open to all sizes. Your dog does need to get along well with children as my kids love to play with dogs. They are also used to having a senior dog around as our dog aged so they also know when to give a dog space and be gentle. I work from home most days and your dog will have free rain of our house. I work from home most days so will be around to take your dog for walks as they need them. Your dog will have free rain of our house and we have a nice back outside area to walk or run around in. We also have a beautiful nature trail right behind our neighborhood. I love to spend time playing or just chilling and petting/loving on your dog. I love walks outside and if your dog likes to play with kids we have 5 of them that love dogs. They are also used to senior dogs so know how to be gentle. We do have stairs so your dog needs to be comfortable on stairs or small enough to carry. I will follow whatever your food/med/walk routines are.
About: I have volunteered at an animal sanctuary where ensure the well-being of different domesticated animals (chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, dogs, pigs). When there, I have walked Great Pyrenes dogs and looked after a young puppy. I have experience caring for multiple pets and multiple species at a time. I am passionate about animals and am studying them in college with the hope of pursuing zoo career. I am available most days after 11am with the exception of Sunday when I am not free until 2pm. I am willing to check on the pets multiple times a day and at night. I will be aware of where the pets are when leaving, making sure they do not escape or get trapped. I will ensuring to leave the home in a safe space, keeping harmful items and food away. When taking walks, leashes/collars/harnesses will be secure at all times and actions will be taken to prevent confrontations. The home will be respected and kept clean the entire time.
“Last minute request due to sister coming into town to run the Marine Corps Marathon. So appreciative of Samantha being available! Great communicator and Winnie seems very comfortable with her. Will continue to use.”

“Stephanie was great. It was the first time we had a drop in visit for our cat. She was very responsive with pictures and sending an update about any questions we had while we were away from our cat. Would definitely book with her again!”

“If you only want the best for your pet, Ami is it. Everything from start to finish with her has been nothing short of outstanding. She is reliable, compassionate, and her energy is so calming. My dog Luna had just been diagnosed with kidney disease, and I was overwhelmed. Ami came over to administer subQ fluids, which have been a struggle for me to do on my own because it was so stressful for my dog. Ami taught me things the vet never mentioned, so that the experience was less stressful for Luna, such as warming the bag of fluids, the position to hold my dog in and how to distract her with treats. She even recommended needles that are thinner, and I was amazed my dog didn’t even react when she poked her! She is also working with me on a specialty diet specifically for CKD which is already helping with her nausea and appetite. I am so relieved to have found Ami - she is an invaluable resource, and true animal whisperer. And our kitties approve too, they absolutely love her! Thanks again Ami!!!”

About: Hi! I’m Katie, I’m 20 and a huge animal lover! I’ve grown up around pets my whole life and can’t imagine life without them. I have two dogs of my own, a playful young Labrador I’ve trained myself, and a sweet 13-year-old Westie, so I understand the needs of both energetic pups and senior dogs. Over the past several years, I’ve cared for many neighbors’ pets, including dogs of all sizes and breeds, as well as cats with all kinds of personalities. Whether your pet needs a walk, some playtime, medication, or just a little extra love while you’re away, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I’m reliable, experienced, and truly passionate about animals, their comfort and happiness are always my top priorities! Pet care easily fits into my daily routine because animals are already a huge part of my life. I have two dogs of my own, so I’m used to early walks, feeding schedules, and making time throughout the day for attention, play, and exercise. I’m very organized and flexible, so I can adjust my schedule around each pet’s specific needs, whether it’s daily walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care. Spending time with animals doesn’t feel like a chore to me, it’s something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to every day. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I always follow your instructions closely, from feeding and walk schedules to any specific needs your pet may have. I make sure your pet feels comfortable in their own space and give them plenty of attention, love, and care while you’re away. I treat every home with the same respect and care I’d want for my own, and I understand how important it is to build trust, both with your pet and with you. Safety is always my top priority, and I do everything I can to make sure your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re gone.

About: Apart from having two dogs when I was a child, I also started a dog walking business in my neighborhood where I had long term customers. Now, I take care of my uncles dog whenever he needs assistance like taking him out on walks and feeding him. Now; I have two cats that i’ve been taking care of (with my family of course) for 3 years now. At the moment, i’m not working so that gives me plenty of time to come spend time with your pets! I am a very flexible person, so feel free to reach out and ask. I’ll play with the animal, give them all they deserve, or if they want, just have a relaxing time hanging out with them. Of course this would include taking dogs out on walks and not just giving them time to use the bathroom, but also giving them time outside to enjoy themselves.
“I cannot praise Lily enough for the wonderful care she provided for our pets Maggie, Molly, and Tilly while my wife and I were out of state. Despite Maggie’s challenges with house training due to her age, Lily was incredibly patient and understanding. She went above and beyond in her duties, ensuring our pets were comfortable and well cared for. Her communication was excellent throughout the weekend, making us feel reassured that our beloved animals were in the best hands. Thank you, Lily, for your dedication and kindness. Highly recommended!”

“Zachary checked in our kitties while we’re were away - even went over an extra time when the automatic feeder wasn’t connecting to the app anymore. Very responsive and caring.”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for years, both professionally and personally. My daughter and I share a deep bond with our rescue cat Luna, and together we’ve learned how to build trust, respect routines, and honor each animal’s personality. I bring that same dedication to every pet I meet, offering not just care, but companionship, safety, and a sense of home while you’re away. I work part-time, but I’m never alone in caring for pets, my daughter, who studies online, helps me throughout the day. While I’m at work, she watches over our furry friends, making sure they feel safe, entertained, and never alone. Together, we create a warm environment where your pet is always part of the family. I take care of pets in their own home, where they feel most comfortable. I follow your pet’s routine carefully. Feeding, walks, playtime, and rest. My daughter helps me when needed, so your pet will always have company and attention. We treat every animal with love, patience, and respect, making sure they feel safe and happy while you’re away.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Gainesville
Alexandra was amazing with our very nervous dog. She went above and beyond ensuring he felt comfortable and well taken care of. It was fantastic getting updates every drop in with how he was doing and pictures. I would recommend her whole heartedly for anyone with nervous or medically complex animals. I can’t stress enough how wonderful she was for our dog and us.

Isabella took wonderful care of our Lab and Pomeranian. She was reliable, caring, and kept us updated while we were away. She was also able to help us on short notice, which we were incredibly grateful for. It gave us great peace of mind knowing our dogs were in such good hands. We would definitely book with her again! 🐾

Addy was perfect! She was available last minute over the Christmas holiday, thank goodness. She took great care of our large lab and small corgi. They looked very happy in their check-in pictures. Addy followed our instructions to a T, was on time, and communicated very well. We look forward to using her services in the future. I highly recommend her!

Nicole is amazing! With the government shutdown and all the issues with flights, our flight got canceled so we’re had to stay away for another night. Panicking I reached out to Nicole and she quickly reached back. She was able to stop by the house and check in on our parrot to make sure she has food and water for tomorrow. Thank you so much Nicole!!!!

I am very happy with my first time using Rover! Tiffanie communicated with us very well, I loved getting the updates and pictures. And she was very helpful when we needed to make a change to our reservation. Our pups seemed calm and happy when we got back home. Thank you for caring for our pups!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
