About: I’m a genuine and dependable animal lover trustworthy and responsible. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I’m happy to follow specific feeding, walking, playtime, and care routines, and I’m especially patient with pets who need extra attention, including young, energetic, shy, or senior pets. I treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure their owners can feel confident and at ease while they’re in my care. I am available daily for pet sitting and boarding and dog walking! I love being around animals and will provide a beautiful experience that's safe and trustworthy! I have a fenced yard and live in a pet friendly subdivision with several trails that your pet may enjoy! I love animals and I am taking this as a full time job and following my passion for animal care.
“Our dog Oggie loves Melissa. He gets so excited every time he sees her and absolutely loves the mile plus walks they go on together. You can tell she really loves dogs. Melissa is easy to communicate with and is always punctual.”

Growing up i had 4 dogs and fostered many more! I'm a 19 year old college student taking summer classes online and looking for some part time work. I do not have any other job and all my classes are online so i basically have availability whenever! Whatever routine you have set for your pet works perfectly fine for me! I was a nanny for a few years so i can keep a good eye on your pet if need be haha
About: We are a mother daughter duo that will ensure your pet is always taken care of. We have been taking care of dogs all our lives and have had dogs of all kinds that were loved and cared for like our own children. We have tended to puppies up to senior dogs that require medication and special care. Rover is our full time job, with both of us able to help in a pinch the flexibility we can provide weekly or daily is something we are proud to provide. I have a fenced in yard, space to crate a dog and also can put gates if needed to keep dog in certain areas. I am also able to administer any medication if needed.
About: I’ve grown up with all types of animals since I was a kid including dogs, cats, horses, cows, chickens, peacocks, etc. I am comfortable working with most animals and will treat your furry friend as if they were my own. I currently have my own 7yo Boston Terrier/ French Bulldog named Milo! I recently started my doctorate in Clinical Psychology and am looking for ways to make some money in my free time. I am currently free Tuesday afternoons after 2pm and have full time availability on Thursdays and Fridays. I am also open to weekends on a case by case basis. I formerly worked as a probation officer so I am extremely trustworthy, hardworking, and dependable! I am comfortable and respectful working in others’ homes, and will follow all care instructions to meet a pet’s specific needs. Additionally, I am comfortable feeding or administering medications if needed. I will always prioritize your pet’s health and safety, and will likely avoid interactions with other pets unless an owner indicates that their dog is friendly with other animals.

About: I’ve shared my life with dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, including adopted and rescue animals of different ages, personalities and needs. I have special experience caring for senior and medically fragile pets. I adopted a very elderly, sick dog who required frequent medication and attentive daily care, and I also cared for my cat through medical needs that required consistent medication. I’m currently a devoted dog mom to Graci, a two-year-old Labrador, and a proud grandmom to Zoey, a two-year-old mini Australian Shepherd/Corgi mix. Caring for animals has given me hands-on experience with walks, feeding routines, playtime, medication schedules, close supervision and helping pets feel safe and comfortable. I understand that rescue animals and senior pets may need additional patience, consistency and time to build trust. I’m also a retired federal professional known for being dependable, observant and calm in unexpected situations. I understand that trusting someone with your pet—and your home—is a very personal decision. I will follow your instructions carefully, communicate consistently and provide plenty of photos and updates so you can feel completely comfortable while you’re away. “Continuing my professional development” sounds more natural and polished than “pursuing additional courses.” I’m currently taking a professional break while continuing my professional development, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide your pet with attentive, loving care. I’m home much of the day and can easily accommodate feeding, playtime, medication, cuddles, and your pet’s normal routine. Safety and comfort are always my priorities. I have one friendly Labrador who gets along well with other dogs and can be crated or kept separately if needed. My neighborhood is great for safe, leashed walks, and I carefully follow each pet parent’s instructions regarding feeding, medication, exercise, and routines.

About: I grew up taking care of our family dogs as well as having my own dogs as an adult. Sadly, my pup passed away earlier this year and while I am not ready to get another dog of my own, I am excited to help care for yours and give you peace of mind while you are away. I have had little and big dogs in my life and am open to all sizes. Your dog does need to get along well with children as my kids love to play with dogs. They are also used to having a senior dog around as our dog aged so they also know when to give a dog space and be gentle. I work from home most days and your dog will have free rain of our house. I work from home most days so will be around to take your dog for walks as they need them. Your dog will have free rain of our house and we have a nice back outside area to walk or run around in. We also have a beautiful nature trail right behind our neighborhood. I love to spend time playing or just chilling and petting/loving on your dog. I love walks outside and if your dog likes to play with kids we have 5 of them that love dogs. They are also used to senior dogs so know how to be gentle. We do have stairs so your dog needs to be comfortable on stairs or small enough to carry. I will follow whatever your food/med/walk routines are.

13SEP2026: Christi did an outstanding job of walking/feeding my 11 1/2 old female jack russell mix dog, Emmy, for five days. She kept me informed daily after each morning and late afternoon walk including written descriptions of her walks/feeding and photos of Emmy. She is highly dependable and met all my expectations for Emmy's care while I was on an out of state trip. I strongly recommend you hire her for your pet's care. Jeff Johnson, Gainesville, VA

Tiffanie was a lifesaver, and was super flexible. She stepped in at the last minute when I realized I needed a dog walker. I was new to Rover and she made it an easy and peasant experience. She came that day to meet my dog, asked great questions and spent some time getting to know him. It gave me peace of mind to know my fit baby was in good hands! 10/10 and will rebook again. Thanks Tiffanie!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
