Fourth Year Veterinary Student!
Hello! My name is Emily Ellis and I am a fourth year veterinary student at LIU looking to help take care of your pets to help pay off my student loans and school expenses! I have many years of experience working as a veterinary assistant. I graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Animal Science with a quadruple emphasis in companion animals, livestock, equine, and poultry, and a minor in Chemistry. I have many pets of my own and am super comfortable with dogs, cats, exotics, etc. I am also happy to help accommodate for any medical needs for pets. Pets of my own include a dog with epilepsy, 2 cats (one of them is completely blind, no eyes at all!), 2 horses, 2 guinea pigs, 3 sugar gliders, a bunny, and a green iguana! Emily was wonderful with our pets! Our dog can take some time to warm up to new people, and Emily was so patient and persistent with her — by the end, you could tell she absolutely loved her. She kept us updated throughout the whole stay with photos and messages, which gave us total peace of mind. It was clear from the pictures that both our pets were happy, comfortable, and having a great time playing with her. We'll definitely be booking Emily again!

Schedule
I have been working an externship at a local emergency animal hospital, but I now have lots more free time and am hoping to spend time pet sitting now!
