“Anke did a fantastic job caring for our young cat while we were away. She is very detail oriented and made sure to keep all of his food, litter, and water clean and organized. But more than that, she a very friendly and calm manner that allowed even our skittish kitty to relax quickly.”

“This was our first time using Rover and we could not have selected a better person than Sarit to take care of our furbabies! She was so sweet and wonderful with them. She was also very attentive and made us aware of a known symptom in one of our cats, so we were very appreciative of the thoughtful care and attention she provided for them. We’re certain our boys fell in love with Sarit and they are going to miss her so much! Sarit has easily earned our trust to give our boys the best possible love and care they deserve. Highly recommend Sarit and we will absolutely look to request Sarit watch our boys again for future vacations!”

“Hannah is super awesome taking care of our two cats while we were vacationing. She has kept us updated on the cats with photos and videos. Kids really like those photos and videos. It feels so at ease for us.”

“As always amazing, kept my babies company during the 4th of July which can be a stressful time for pets. They are as happy and as healthy as can be. House is immaculate as we left it. If you are thinking of hiring her you are making a great choice!”

“Kate was absolutely fantastic, and my grumpy old kitty Koda immediately fell in love with her. She was communicative with any issues and took great care of the house as well. I had to extend my time away due to illness and she was very accommodating. I will absolutely be coming back to her next time Koda needs a friend to check on him!”

“Luna, my cat, and I are huge fans of Quynh’s care for her. She’s incredibly sweet and spends a lot of time playing with my cat. Quynh is always attentive to my instructions and suggestions, and she sends me pictures and updates during her visits. She also keeps me posted on the time she’ll be dropping Luna off. I highly recommend her service!”

“Malia was a great house sitter for my recent trip! One of my cats is overly scared of new people, but Malia was easily able to win him over and make him comfortable early on! My other cat easily took a liking to Malia as well. Malia is very respectful, professional, and allowed me to be worry free during my trip - I would highly recommend her to anybody looking for a house sitter. Thank you again Malia!”

“Michelle does a great job caring for my crazy cat! I appreciate how communicative she is about each visit and I can tell even though my cat can be a pain as he is slow to trust people he doesn't know well, she is patient and genuinely tries to connect with him.”

“Elena was wonderful as always - she stays a while to play with the cats and is always follows instructions to a T. And when things go awry (like your A/C overflowing with water because you forgot to turn it off), she’s right there to help without any prompting. So glad to have worked with her again, and will be coming back!”

“Kristin took care of my 6 month old kitten, Lily, when my partner and I left on a one week vacation. She’s a professional animal whisperer and provided the best updates with photos while we were away. There was no sense of worry knowing that Kristin was back home checking, playing, feeding and relaxing with Lily.”

About: I grew up surrounded by all kinds of pets and have spent three of those years working full-time as a professional pet sitter with a reputable pet sitting company. During that time, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, and birds—providing not just daily care, but also administering medications and tending to pets with illnesses or special needs. I'm currently working remotely full-time and have the flexibility to drop in for visits during the day or evening. This allows me to easily integrate pet sitting into my routine, whether it's for regular check-ins, walks, feedings, or administering medications. I’m able to adjust my schedule as needed to ensure pets get the care and attention they need. When I'm caring for pets in my client's home, I do my best to maintain their daily routine, according to their feeding schedule or walk/playtime, and any special care that they need. More than anything, I like to take time building trust with their pets first and ensure that they feel comfortable and safe around me. I also make sure to keep the client's home tidy and follow any instructions closely.

“We feel so lucky to have found Cassidy as a drop-in sitter for our cat, Hiro. She was attentive, reliable, and caring toward Hiro when we were out of town. We look forward to booking her again and would recommend her to anyone needing care for their fur babies.”

“Fariha was very sweet with Marble and from the moment he arrived, he was so comfortable and curious. I was instantly comforted by how he was doing and how non chalant he was with her beautiful cat Firefox. There’s so much space to roam around for the cats that they can always give each other distance, while still picking a good spot to sun bathe. She also made sure we got updates of him every day so that was very nice to see. When I went to pick him up, it seemed like he didn’t want to go home! I would definitely rebook with Fariha whenever we plan our next family trip. Thank you so much!!”

About: I have always had a deep love for dogs, growing up with one in my hometown. My experience expanded significantly during my time as an au pair in Germany, where I cared for Hannah, a beautiful Golden Retriever. Hannah was incredibly loving with her family but reactive around other dogs - she would bark and lunge toward them. I learned to read her body language, redirect her attention with treats and commands, and keep her calm during walks by choosing quieter routes and using positive reinforcement techniques. As a nursing student, I understand the importance of following detailed care instructions, maintaining routines, and watching for behavioral or health changes. Whether it's an energetic pup needing mental stimulation or a senior dog requiring gentler care, I adapt my approach to each dog's unique needs. I'll treat your furry family member with the same attention I'd want for my own future Golden Retriever (coming this September!). Currently: I'm completely free this summer until September 11th! This is the perfect time to build a great relationship with your pet before my fall classes begin. Starting fall quarter (September 22nd), I'll be a nursing student at De Anza College with a flexible weekday schedule that's perfect for pet care! My classes will only be on Monday mornings (9am-12pm) and Tuesday/Thursday evenings (3-7pm), leaving me plenty of time for your furry friends. My availability: Right now (until Sept 11): Available weekdays anytime! Fall semester: Weekday mornings, afternoons, and most evenings Weekends: Very rarely available - I prefer to keep weekends for personal time unless I have no other plans Advance notice: I prefer 1-2 days notice to ensure I can give your pet my full attention I'm available for: Dog walking (30-60 minutes) Drop-in visits (30-45 minutes) House sitting (day visits only - no overnight stays currently) My goal is to provide reliable, consistent care while pursuing my passion for helping others, both human and furry! Your pet's safety and comfort are my absolute priorities. As a nursing student, I understand the importance of following detailed instructions, maintaining routines, and watching for any changes in behavior or health. Having cared for pets as an au pair in Germany and Austria, I know how crucial trust is when caring for someone's beloved family member. I maintain open communication throughout our time together and treat every pet as if they were my own. Safety measures I follow: •Keep dogs securely leashed unless in owner-approved off-leash areas •Stick to familiar, safe routes you recommend •Ensure your home remains secure during visits •Immediate communication if anything unusual occurs I'm fluent in English, Thai, and conversational in German, making me comfortable with San Jose's diverse community. I have reliable emergency transportation and your vet's contact information readily available.

About: Nice to meet you, my name is Ghelina and I have always loved animals. I currently have the time available to be able to share, attend to them and, above all, give them a lot of appreciation. I live in San José in an apartment, so I have the space available to be able to share with your pet🐶🐱. If you are looking for a trusted person, you can write to me with pleasure 🤗 I have taken care of pets since I was 18 years old, neighbors, family and friends have trusted me because they know that I love dogs or kittens since they are part of the family and accompany us day by day to make us happy with their company.🫶🏻 I have the availability to be able to attend and take care of them but above all that they feel confident with me, since I like to share a lot with animals 🤍 I have a large room of an apartment since we only live 2 people, and outside 3 gardens by the apartments to be able to go out with them.

About: Hi there! Thanks for checking out my profile! My name is Sora. I recently graduated from University of California - Irvine and since moved to NorCal for work and to hopefully pursue veterinary school. I'm also a proud cat-mom to the sweetest kitty in the world. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I couldn't imagine a life without them — that's why I went from pre-med to pre-vet after all! I'm incredibly passionate about dog training and helping them live their best lives. I had a labrador retriever, aka my heart-dog, Gazebo, that I trained for over a year and half in the hopes he'd be able to assist me as a multi-purpose service dog. Unfortunately, he was retired early but I learned so much from working with him. I trained him under the tutelage of several professional trainers, though I won't go so far as to claim I'm a professional myself in any way. Reactivity training is also something I'm passionate about. Whether it be fear based, excitement based, or something else altogether, I want to be able to help dogs live their best lives. If you have a training program that you'd like for me to follow during a walk or visit, please let me know! I'll always do my best to accommodate and work with you. Your dog's safety and wellbeing will always come first though, and should I feel I'm unable to follow through, I will always let you know. I'm honored you're putting your trust in me and the least I can do is do my best in whatever I do for you and your pup. I currently work part-time but can easily fit in walks and drop-ins around my shifts! I travel via electric scooter so getting to your home won't be an issue for me. As I owner trained my service dog, I'm familiar with different training methods, such as LIMA and training tools. I have experience with e-collars, martingales, and prong collars, though I prefer to be R+ as much as possible. Aka, treats, praise, and so much love. I'd be more than happy to keep up any training while walking your dog, such as redirecting reactivity or carrying treats for walks! I have a kitty who screams for food twice a day, so I'm well used to the (insistent!) routine cats follow. I'm also used to pets needing space and not having attention 24/7, as well as having experience with crate training. I believe it's important for all pets to be able to settle at home without needing constant stimulation.

Fruitdale cat parents share their Rover experiences
Hannah was great with my kitties. It was my first time using Rover for my babies, and I was SO anxious leaving them alone for that long (2 days lol) She gave me so much peace as she was taking so many notes at the intro meeting, very communicative, and you can tell that she’s a PRO regarding cats! She sent me so many pictures and videos, was punctual regarding their feeding, and gave me so many updates. She also left me a little card saying happy birthday with a picture of my babies on there. It was too cute! The next time I need a cat sitter, I will definitely be reaching back out to her.

Kate went above and beyond our expectations. We had a tricky situation arise in our home while we were in the mountains with limited cell service. Kate’s ideas for how to solve it and the effort she put in doing it were fantastic. She was truly committed to ensuring our cat’s wellbeing!

Jessica is the best! This was the second time she has taken care of Ms. Moushi and her feral friend. What I appreciate most is her commitment to the schedule. She’s never late and often arrives a few minutes early. Her thoughtful notes and updates always bring a smile to my face and give me peace of mind, knowing my furry baby is in good hands with such a kind person. She is both responsible and responsive, and I would definitely book her again. We’re so lucky to know you, Jessica! 🙏🏼❤️

Ted and Mocha flourished under Elizabeth's care during our nine-day trip. Our outdoor feral cats liked her too and showed up for feedings. Her photos and reports reassured us. She went above and beyond in tackling a kitchen ant invasion and finding a delivered package. We will book her again. Thank you!
