QI noticed how sad Arisha was and made specialized chicken and carrot meals for her that Arisha thoroughly loved. Arisha is also afraid of dogs, but while QI sits multiple dogs at once, she was able to socialize Arisha with all the other dogs to a point where Arisha joined the pack and started hanging out with them more, which is close to a miracle. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and they were incredibly responsive and flexible with scheduling. The entire process was seamless, and Teo was calm and confident being left in their care. About: I’ve grown up with animals, which translated well to me petsitting for several of my professors throughout college. Some of my childhood pets had specific health needs, so I am well versed in how to medicate a finicky cat or a large dog. I have my own cat, named Mushy, who I found as a feral and worked with her patiently for months until she was completely domesticated. This cat, who used to be completely untrusting of humans, now has to sleep ON my face every night, which I think speaks volumes about the care I can provide.

About: Well…we all love to travel and can’t always bring our furry friends along. That’s where I come in! I definitely want to extend my home to your paw-friend! I'm fun, outdoorsy and active! I’ve been on Rover for quite some time. Unfortunately, I cannot accommodate long stays (four days or less) but fortunate to work from home on some days so your Four-Legged friend will have company most of the day. They might even get sick of me! ;) I live in a house with a pretty good sized backyard! The whole backyard is fenced. So he/she can roam around, sunbathe or even play catch! The neighborhood is also safe with other dog walkers.

About: Throughout my childhood I’ve been surrounded by animals of all kinds - dogs in particular. My family has always had at least one dog in our household and I’ve spent a combined three years volunteering, shadowing, and working at animal hospitals / clinics - learning how to meet the needs of every dog or cat I encounter. The passion I had as a child led me to pursue zoology. I recently graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt and while there I worked at the Humboldt Wildlife Care Center. It was here that I learned to confidently and humanely rehabilitate numerous critters. I’ve worked with everything from raccoons to seabirds! “We had a fantastic experience with John. He watched our whippet, Benoît, over the 3 day weekend- who’s sometimes anxious when there’s changes, but John handled everything with so much care and calm. We really appreciated the regular updates and the sweet picture he sent; it made us feel completely at ease knowing Benoît was in good hands. When we came home, Benoît was relaxed and happy, which says everything.”

“My lab mix Steinbeck had a great relaxed time at his first overnight stretch (3 nights and days) at Camp Mita, after previously spending several good doggy daycare days there. He is a rescue with a trauma history so he can become quite nervous when I am away-- but not so at all when with MIta and family!--who gave him so much TLC as well as lovely walks. MIta's calm and friendly older yellow lab also clearly was a very reassuring presence to him. I loved receiving the gracious daily photos so I could see how "at home" he was making himself. He came home completely grounded. I was able to enjoy my time away so much more because he clearly enjoyed his time with Madhumita. Thanks for your attentiveness to a sensitive dog, Mita!”
