“Amy is the kind of sitter you hope to find: she's communicative, caring, flexible, and reliable. She stayed at our house, caring for our three pets for several days. We got great updates, and returned to a spotless house. We highly recommend Amy!”

“Anthea was very conscientious about caring for our cats and chickens. We received extremely detailed reports daily. When we returned, our pets were happy and our home was spotless.”

“Janexis and Zach were wonderful with helping take care of my reactive and anxious pit mix, Minnie. They sent just the right amount of updates, and she looked so happy and at home with each picture! They kept me at ease the entire time. They were also flexible when I needed to extend their care, and left my place cleaner than I left for them! I will definitely use them to care for my pup in the future.”

“Leaving Dash for so long I couldn’t imagine who could love in him. Makayla loved my boop while I took a break from life in a far off land. Thank you for leaving the place so clean too! Well done.”

“Couldn’t be more pleased with Peter! He arrived early, kept me updated with pictures throughout his stay and took great care of Sunny! Will definitely book again and highly recommend.”

“Thank you so much for the care for our senior cats, our chickens, rabbits, and home. Our home was so well cared for and clean, and thanks again for the delicious treat you left us! I would definitely recommend Felicia to anyone looking for a pet/house sitter.”
“I just moved back to Portland and was looking for a house sitter for my sweet little old lady, Pearl, and had a few upcoming trips planned. Danny was very communicative, always prompt and was more than willing to help with an unexpected medical need. Pearl was well taken care of and I'll happily work with Danny again.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 16 years old. I adopted my most recent rescue about five years ago. I take her on multiple long walks every day! I also have experience with senior dogs and disabled dogs. I currently work part time and make my own schedule, so I can work around your needs. I am available for multiple check-ins a day, and will walk whatever route needed. I have a fully fenced backyard and live right next to a park with walking trails. I have a dog who loves playing with other dogs, but can be separated if needed.
“Crystal was amazing! Took the best care of my dog and cat while I was away, sent a bunch of photos and updates throughout the day of their adventures, and kept the house in lovely condition. I could tell she vacuumed before heading out which I SO appreciated when I got home from my trip! I’ll definitely be booking with her again if she’s available. Thank you Crystal, Pretzel and Beans miss you!”

“Mark did an incredible job taking care of our elderly cat Gus for a 4 day house sit job. He was very attentive to Gus’s needs and helped him overcome superstition anxiety while we were away. I could not recommend Mark anymore!”

“Kelly did great watching my boys for me! Very communicative, and sent me plenty of pictures while I was away. I would definitely recommend her to watch your fur babies for you, and I will 100% be reaching out to her if I need help again in the future!”

“Allison was the absolute sweetest! I felt so comfortable having her stay at our house and care for our two dogs. She checked in with adorable photos several times over the weekend, the house was just as we left it, and I could tell she just really loved being with our dogs which is the best feeling. Would book again in a heartbeat!”

“Lyla did a great job: she was willing to come meet the pups beforehand, showed up on time to house/dog sit, sent photos and updates, and left the house and dogs clean and happy. We hope to use Lyla for future dog care needs and highly recommend her to others.”

“Great with the pups and took them to an off leash place where they could run off their energy. They were exhausted when we got back from our own adventure. We appreciate you!”

“Brianna made us feel so comfortable leaving our home and pup in her care while we were away for the weekend. She provided updates on how things were going and took excellent care of everything. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

“This was our first time working with Chad and we have nothing but great thanks to say about the care he gave to our 9-year old Australian Shepherd. Chad has a calm and friendly demeanor, is great at communication, and left our house spotless. We felt relieved knowing our dog and home were well taken care of and can't wait to use him again the next time we need a sitter!”

About: I have had dogs since I was 3 years old. Currently do not have a dog of my own but still dog sit for my mom when she goes out of town or comes visits me. Have plenty of experience with dogs of all sizes and puppies. Young professional in seasonal type job. My work is currently in the slow season so have plenty of time for dogs/puppies. I also have all my weekends available to puppy sit. I live in an apartment but there are plenty of walking trails and parks nearby. I also have plenty of time off and no weekend commitments so I can stay at your home so the pups are more comfortable.
About: I’ve been pet/housesitting for the majority of my life! Growing up I was relied on heavily by many. I was consistently approached by family, friends, and neighbors. There were quite a few people that had me as their go-to whenever they needed the help and I made a strong connection with. I always get excited when people ask me to petsit for them! On top of that, I’ve done a lot of volunteer work at animal shelters, including dog walking, cleaning, and playing. I’m currently a SPED Educational Assistant, 8am-3:30pm every weekday at a school in Portland. Anytime around that I am free and willing, but I understand if that is too large a gap in the days as far as house sitting goes. Otherwise, my weekends are entirely free, as well as my summer break! I will accommodate to whatever needs must be met for your pet! I want to make sure your fur baby is completely safe, comfortable and happy with me. Every animal is different and I love to make space for them and learn about what they like, dislike, need, as well as their quirks and personalities. Connection and trust is very important to me.
Fruit Valley pet parents share their Rover experiences
We used to live in Oregon and Roree was Aspens favorite person, so on our little trip back to the area we knew just who to call to watch Aspen for the weekend! Roree always sends pictures and updates and you can just see the excitement in Aspens eyes in every pic. She is a 100/10 dog sitter and has so much care and attention for your furry friend☺️ thanks for everything Roree!

Martha was fantastic! She house sat for our dog Georgie and our 3 kitties. Our 13 year old kitty needs a number of medications and special diet instructions and Georgie also needs medications, and Martha handled everything with ease. She took Georgie on daily walks and played with her in our yard when it wasn't raining. She sent daily updates and pictures, and was very communicative. There were a few small things for the house we asked her to do (like roll our garbage bins) which we were very grateful she did. She left our house just the way we left it, and you would have never known someone was staying with us. Our pets were so at ease when we got home because she spent so much time with them during our trip. We highly recommend Martha!

Millie was wonderful! Extremely communicative, punctual, and took care of Georgia so well. She was very respectful of our space. I would be more than happy to work with her again and to be a positive reference to anyone looking for someone to help care for their pets!

Madelyn was seriously amazing with my dog, Tuna 🥹 This was my first time ever leaving him with someone, and I was honestly really nervous, but she made me feel so comfortable the entire time. She sent me tons of pictures and updates, and he looked like he was having the best day ever. I didn’t feel worried at all while he was with her. I was even late picking him up, and she was super understanding and kind about it. Tuna came home completely tired out from all the fun 😂 I would absolutely trust her with him again and definitely recommend her!!

Madison is truly amazing! I honestly can’t say enough amazing things about our experiences with her! She again took such incredible care of my four fur babies, and it gave us so much peace of mind while I was away. Each of them has their own personality and needs, and she handled everything with so much attention, patience, and genuine care. I’m someone who finds it really hard to trust others with my pets, so leaving them is never easy for me. But with her, I truly had zero worries. She always kept us updated, made sure they were happy and comfortable, and treated them like they were her own. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and all-around amazing pet sitter!

Sami watched our two dogs, one with cancer requiring extra care and attention to a weeping wound and the other with an initial fear of most people. They both took to Sami immediately with no fear. She also watched our cat. We got daily updates. Our dog with cancer is on steroids causing ravenous hunger and will eat everything. Sami was so careful to keep items away from her and keeping doors closed. We came home to a clean house and she even did laundry and remade the bed. 100% recommended. She is our #1!

Ryan was absolutely wonderful house-sitting and staying with our dogs for 10 days while we were on vacation! Our dogs absolutely loved Ryan! He took them for long walks and hikes every single day, rain or shine. Kept our house clean, took great pictures and was great at communicating daily. We could tell that Ryan really cared about our girls and even took time to work with our reactive younger dog on walks. Thanks so much, Ryan!
