I work full time at home as an emergency preparedness and response coordinator, so I am home during the week each day. Outside of work I spend a lot of time at home and I live alone so the extra companionship is comforting for me.

A typical day
Vancouver has a ton of great parks and water for dogs. I also have experience walking cats with a harness if your cat is harness trained. For dogs that are good on hikes I frequently do local hiking trails. Inside the home I have lots of toys and keep a quiet home.

Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Madelyn and I’ve been fostering animals with the humane society for the last 5 years. I have experience working with ringworm kittens, senior animals, administering medicine, stray cats/dogs, and post-surgery care. Fostering and boarding/pet-sitting has been really rewarding for me because I can spend time with animals and support their owners, but I can’t commit to my own pet at this time. I’ve also grown up with labradors and bulldogs so they have a special place in my heart.

Reviews

Madelyn was seriously amazing with my dog, Tuna 🥹 This was my first time ever leaving him with someone, and I was honestly really nervous, but she made me feel so comfortable the entire time. She sent me tons of pictures and updates, and he looked like he was having the best day ever. I didn’t feel worried at all while he was with her. I was even late picking him up, and she was super understanding and kind about it. Tuna came home completely tired out from all the fun 😂 I would absolutely trust her with him again and definitely recommend her!!

Thanks, they look so happy in the pictures!

Madelyn took such wonderful care of my senior dog, Charlie, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Charlie can’t be left alone for long periods anymore, and Madelyn was incredibly attentive to her needs. She made sure she got multiple walks, lots of care, and all the attention she requires at this stage of her life. She was also very communicative throughout, sending regular updates that gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I really appreciated that she took the time to do a longer meet and greet beforehand. It showed how thoughtful and thorough she is. It’s clear that Madelyn has a compassionate soul and genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. I would absolutely trust her again and plan to book with her in the future. Highly recommend!

Madelyn is a fantastic pet sitter! She spent extra time giving our kitties treats and sent awesome check in pictures! We will 100% use her for our future trips away from home!
