“Megan was so great! She offered to come over to meet before hand to learn everything about our cats. She did such a great job with our cats and sent us pictures everyday. It was so relieving to have someone we can trust with our home and cats while we were away. Thank you!!!”

“We love Breanna! This was our first time doing drop in visits instead of boarding while we were on a weekend trip and it went great! Bre is super sweet and our dog loved her! She always gave great updates and responded in a timely manner. She has a dog of her own and took great care of ours while we were gone! Definitely will be booking again in the future! Thanks so much Breanna!”

“Susan was exceptional and went over and above what was required of her. I would HIGHLY recommend her. My cat Mysti responded to her very well and I only had Mysti for 3 weeks. You cannot go wrong with this sitter. We actually used her services for 4 days and she was On time and did everything she was asked and then some. She also included photos of Mysti and I could tell Mysti was very happy. Marguerite S.”

About: I have spent over 4 years volunteering at animal shelters with both dogs and cats. I have also grown up with both dogs and cats - primarily small breeds. At the shelter I specialize in dogs, and have worked with breeds ranging from Cane Corsos to Toy Poodles. I like to both play and relax with dogs, and enjoy dog walking as part of an active lifestyle. I work full time, but WFH 3 days a week. The weekends are when I am most free, and prefer afternoons/evenings. I can be flexible if you reach our! I will check on your pet(s)' food and water supply in addition to making sure they use the facilities. I enjoy brushing pets as well!
“Allison looked after my cat for a week and she was wonderful! I could tell he got quality attention and playtime from the photos she sent and when I returned home he was his happy self! I highly recommend Allison and will absolutely be hiring her in the future!”

“Angel was extremely responsive when setting up the meet and greet and took amazing care of Mr Cat! She sent daily photos and updates and he looked happy and cared for!”

About: I'm a lifelong dog lover with two of my own a 7-year-old Golden Retriever and a 3-year-old Lab/Aussie mix. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have years of experience dog sitting. I treat every dog like family and am comfortable with all breeds and energy levels. Whether your pup needs playtime, cuddles, or just someone to keep them company, I’m here to help! I'm a graduate student at Xavier University with a flexible schedule. I’m available for walks or check-ins throughout the day and can also stop by in the evenings after class. With my experience and having dogs of my own I am able to ensure dog safety and that their needs are met. I will also treat your dogs as if they are my own.
About: I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats! I had 4 dogs growing up; a pug, a golden retriever, 2 cavaliers and a calico cat! I spent high school dog sitting and cat sitting around my neighborhood and through friends of my family! I’ve watched dogs and cats of all different demeanors and even a flying squirrel! I love taking dogs on walks and playing with any kitties, and of course giving some love while you’re away! My work schedule changes a little bit but I work Monday- Friday either 6:30-2:30 or 8-4! I have weekends off too! So anytime I’m not working I can come see your pet! At a clients home I will respect whatever boundaries and routines their animal is used to! I love going on walks and playing with animals, and of course some snuggles! Right now I live in a one bedroom apartment just with my cat! Half the apartment is filled with her toys and she loves spending time out on the balcony sunning and bird watching!
“We had a wonderful experience with our Alexis. She was always on time, extremely dependable, and very easy to work with. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our dog was in such caring hands. She absolutely loved her, and it was obvious she treated them like her own. Communication was great, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. The quality of care and reliability made it completely worth it. We would happily book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring for their pets!”

“Nicole is awesome!! Apollo loves when Nicole comes over to take him for walks! She also sends the best pictures of him while I’m at work! She even braves the snow to make sure he’s taken care of, a real gem! Couldn’t recommend her more!!!”

About: My wife and I have always had dogs, and they have always been an extremely important part of our lives. We lost our dog Miles in Sept of 2025, and we have made the decision that before we get another dog of our own, we'd like to try boarding dogs for a while, to give us an opportunity to bring that love and companionship back to our home while providing a service to the community, in a place where you know your dog will be safe, receive tons of individual attention, and lots of love. I work at home full-time, so I am always around to provide some attention to pets as I have for many years. It's easy for me to take breaks most anytime to allow the dog to get outside and take care of their business, or just give them some love and attention that they need. I want to care for your dog the way the owner would like, so I will take the lead from the instructions of the owner. We have a nice backyard, and we are in an area that is perfect for walking a dog on a leash. Additionally, there are several dog parks in the area that we can take your dog to if that is something you're interested in.
About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and personalities. My parents breed puppies, so I’ve helped with feeding, cleaning, basic training, socialization, and handling the everyday messes that come with raising puppies. I’ve also had more than five dogs throughout my life and currently have two at home. I’m very comfortable walking, playing with, feeding, cleaning up after, and caring for dogs, and I treat every pet like one of my own. My schedule is very flexible, especially during the week. I’m available Monday through Friday from 8 AM–5 PM for walks and drop-in visits. I can often accommodate short-notice requests and will do my best to work around you and your pet’s normal routine. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority. I’ll follow any instructions you provide regarding feeding, walking, medications, routines, or behavior. I’m careful with leashes, doors, gates, and interactions with other animals while on walks. During drop-in visits, I’ll make sure your pet has fresh water, plenty of attention, and a clean, safe environment before I leave. I’ll treat your home and your pet with the same care and respect I would my own.
“Corey is the best! He has been regularly dropping in on my two pups for a few weeks now and they absolutely love him. He is reliable, punctual, and just has a kind and calming presence. He knows and understands dogs well, and that experience shows. I would trust him with my pets any day!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fort Thomas
Christina was the best! she took excellent care of our kiddos and even got our most sensitive cat to eat his meals (and take his meds!) without any issue! she sent us tons of photos, was super communicative, and super flexible. 10/10 recommend her for all your pet needs!!

Taylor did such an amazing job taking care of my little old man! Our normal sitter wasn’t available so I was nervous to try someone new with my senior (somewhat high maintenance) kitty. She followed all my instructions perfectly, gave him his medicine, and was super sweet and snuggly with him. I’m so thankful!

Breanna was such a big help with my Benny! She sent pictures every time she checked in on him, which gave me so much peace of mind. He even had an accident while I was away, and she went above and beyond by cleaning it up and doing the laundry. I really appreciated how attentive and caring she was with him. I would definitely recommend Breanna!

Carly was so reliable and responsive when we asked her to pop in on our cat Olive over Fourth of July weekend. She let Olive in/out at the designated times and always made sure she had fresh food and water (during a heatwave). Olive warmed right up to her and allowed her to give her some butt pats. Highly recommend Carly for any cat sitting needs, will definitely use her in the future!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
