“Beth is great with our girls. Her communication is always timely. She’s so sweet and loves our girls like they are her own. Lilly our rescue warmed up to her quickly which is always a great sign!”

“Allison took care of our girls while we were out of town for a family vacation. She was fantastic with the girls and communicated with us regularly. We supremely appreciate that she kept them happy and safe!”

About: I've always had a dog and trained a service dog in college with my roommate who now is paired with a kid who has epilepsy and gives the family much more ease. I have my own pup now and a cat as well! I also have fostered cats and dogs for over 5 years! I work hybrid and have a flexible schedule to ensure your dogs are taken care of. I will have plenty of time after work for exercise and cuddles as well! I will provide all animals with love and respect. If I am in your home with them I will make sure they feel as if I am not intruding their space so they can feel comfortable and trust me. I will be sure to earn your animals trust and give them the best care.

“This is my second time booking with Megan and I would definitely recommend her! I always worry because my cat, mochi, tends to get stressed when I’m gone. Megan goes above and beyond to make sure he’s happy and cared for during these times for drop ins. I can tell he’s cared for and given lots of cuddles by the time I’m home :) Megan is very communicative, sends lots of photos, and goes above and beyond to care for my cat. If you’re looking for a great and trusted pet sitter, definitely book her!”

“Morgan was awesome. She is very kind. She took photos. She was very easy to communicate with. She was on time. I would definitely recommend her and use her again. I have two one year old cats.”

“Alexandru was very trustworthy and personable! We are so appreciative of all of his help in taking care of our two kitties! He made sure to check everything I showed him each day and kept me up to date on everything!! 10/10 recommend!”

“Tess was amazing with my dog Wiley while I was away for work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for any kind of pet care and will absolutely request her services again in the future.”

“Taylor was a wonderful pet sitter for our two cats while we were away. Her updates were fabulous and left us reassured that our kittties were in the best of hands. You can tell Taylor really cares for animals. We will definitely reach out to Taylor again when we are away. Thank you Taylor!”

“Best Rover sitter I have had thus far! They’ve all been great but he was especially detailed with how they all did each day and I could tell he was paying attention because it really fit each personality exactly. He took lots of pictures and touched on the shy one getting attention because she loves it but doesn’t seek it out. Had total peace of mind. He also stayed a little extra time which I so appreciated. Really above and beyond!”

“Allison was open to learning how to take care of my bunnies and did a good job. Knowing she was taking care of my little ones let me enjoy my extended weekend.”

“Our furry feline and her friends have been wonderfully cared for thanks to Saul’s dependability and consistent check‑ins. We genuinely appreciate the care and reliability. Plus he leaves excellent notes and photos!”

“Angel was super attentive to my cats while I was away, and coordinated with me through complicated travel schedules to make sure they would get the care that they need! I’m super thankful for her 💙”

About: Hello! My name is Kala, and I have had a multitude of animals throughout my life. I grew up with police trained German Shepherds, and have had their animals ranging from Ball Pythons to Black Cats. I worked at a Vet Clinic as a Technician’s Assistant in High School, and walked dogs in my family’s neighborhood to make money before going to college. I dog sit friends and family’s dogs regularly, and would love to take care of your animals! I work part-time during the week, so I’m available to take care of animals in the mornings M-F. I am also available all day Sundays! I am always respectful of other people’s spaces, and will ensure your pet feels safe with me both inside and outside! I will also ensure your pet feels loved and cared for, and you feel safe having me around.
“As always, Johnnisha has been a great support for our cat (and us, by extension) when we traveled. She is super thoughtful and accommodating, our cat adores her, and she always leaves us the cutest photos and videos!”

“Leo had very unheard of off day and wasn’t feeling his injection, but Christina did not give up. I appreciated her willingness to make sure the job was done and was very communicative during the drop in.”

About: I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats! I had 4 dogs growing up; a pug, a golden retriever, 2 cavaliers and a calico cat! I spent high school dog sitting and cat sitting around my neighborhood and through friends of my family! I’ve watched dogs and cats of all different demeanors and even a flying squirrel! I love taking dogs on walks and playing with any kitties, and of course giving some love while you’re away! My work schedule changes a little bit but I work Monday- Friday either 6:30-2:30 or 8-4! I have weekends off too! So anytime I’m not working I can come see your pet! At a clients home I will respect whatever boundaries and routines their animal is used to! I love going on walks and playing with animals, and of course some snuggles! Right now I live in a one bedroom apartment just with my cat! Half the apartment is filled with her toys and she loves spending time out on the balcony sunning and bird watching!
“Courtney is great! She has watched my cat a few times, and I'll definitely ask her back the next time I go out of town. She follows instructions and responds quickly when I send messages. My cat always seems happy when I get home!”
“Corey is the best! He has been regularly dropping in on my two pups for a few weeks now and they absolutely love him. He is reliable, punctual, and just has a kind and calming presence. He knows and understands dogs well, and that experience shows. I would trust him with my pets any day!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Dayton
We’re so grateful for Emily! She’s attentive, sweet, playful, and patient with our puppy, Frisbee and even helps with her training and tricks! For us she is responsive and reliable, giving us peace of mind when we’re away during the day. Frisbee looks forward to Emily’s visits!

Christina was the best! she took excellent care of our kiddos and even got our most sensitive cat to eat his meals (and take his meds!) without any issue! she sent us tons of photos, was super communicative, and super flexible. 10/10 recommend her for all your pet needs!!

Taylor did such an amazing job taking care of my little old man! Our normal sitter wasn’t available so I was nervous to try someone new with my senior (somewhat high maintenance) kitty. She followed all my instructions perfectly, gave him his medicine, and was super sweet and snuggly with him. I’m so thankful!

Megan is very communicative and excellent with my pups. This time they had a bit of an upset stomach, and she took such great care of them. She brings in all of my packages and keeps me updated each day on how they’re doing. I’ve literally been working with Megan since I joined the Rover app. She’s incredible!

Kathleen is always great with my cats! She is patient and understanding even with my anti-social cat Rosie 😹. She sends me daily updates and pictures which helps keep my mind at ease while I’m away. I will always trust her with my cats if I ever need to travel again in the future.

AmariYah made this such a great experience, as this was our first time using Rover! She gave us plenty of updates and pictures, and it looks like our pets absolutely loved the experience too! She was very thoughtful and generous with her time, and her care of our little fur babies!

As a first-time pet sitter client, I couldn't have been happier with the experience. Communication was excellent throughout, with updates and photos provided after each visit. It was clear that my dog was receiving great care and attention. I would gladly use Johnnisha again and highly recommend her services.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
