“Highly recommend Alycia (and Scott) as a dog sitter! She took great care of our dog Walter for a week and sent daily pics/videos. Reliable and caring. Will definitely book her again! Thank you, Alycia & Scott!”

“Jessica is great! My old dog is a bit needy and she was so sweet, meeting him where he’s at and not complaining about giving him extra attention. My kids and I all loved that she sent daily updates with photos. We will definitely check in with Jessica next time we need a sitter!”

About: My family had a dog and two cats when I was growing up, and I have made sure to keep pets in my household ever since. Now, my wife and I have a 10-year-old beagle named Bobby, and a five-year-old cat named Walter. Bobby and Walter are easy-going and do well around other pets. Bobby mostly keeps to himself, while Walter might try to get your pet to play with him. We live at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet neighborhood, and we have a partially fenced yard for your dog to play/relax in. Bobby loves lounging on our patio. I work from home full-time, and my wife works from home one-two days a week, so your pet will have constantly attention and love from us. I work from home, so I am available to board and look after your pet every day. I only board one pet at a time, so you can count on your pet getting full and constant attention. I have a partially fenced yard at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet neighborhood, with plenty of yard for your pet to play and relax.
About: Let’s get a new experience every day ! Parks, walks, happy hour. I will do my best to give your dog a safe space while you are gone. I do have a flexible full time job. Walks in the morning, long walks in the afternoon. More outside better! I have a lovely pet friendly neighborhood . I do not have a home camera. But, with other dogs I have watched, I send pictures all day long. I want the dog owner know their pet is safe and happy !
“Cori and her family treated raven like their own ! She came home worn out and everything went great. We will definitely be booking again in the future and so should you !!”

“Josephine was able to take my request on short notice. We had a meet and greet the day prior to me dropping him off at a dog park and she had her 3 dogs as well as another potential client at the meet as well. All of the dogs got along great and Josephine is very knowledgeable and patient. She gave me advice for my pup for his anxiety for future stays. I am very appreciative.”

“Caleigh was great at communication both before and during our dog’s stay with her and my dog looked happy and content throughout her stay. Would recommend and use Caleigh again!”

“Ronald and his family could not have been better sitters for our 2 labs. They were so thoughtful and provided a loving home for our pups while we were away. I will definitely continue to book Ronald on future trips.”

“Matthew and his family always treat Oakley like one of their own. Leaving him with Matthew gives me peace of mind that I know he will be taken care of and I don’t have to worry. Always excellent!”

“This was the second time Natalie watched my pup, Ash, and both times were fantastic! She is responsive to messages, sends photos when requested, and Ash had a great time! I will definitely be using Natalie in the future!”

“Courteous, competent, really helped in a pickle with our challenging puppy. Words can't express how much I appreciate his care for dog. About: I love animals, and have a cat and dog of my own. I have a fenced yard for dogs to run around in. I am doing this so my dog can have playdates(!) and just because I love animals. I work from home Mon/Fri so I focus on weekend stays, and only accept only one family at a time. So rest assured that your cat/dog will be well taken care of! I work from home Monday and Friday, and my work is pretty flexible on other days. I go on walks every day and live minutes away from a dog park as well! I have a fenced yard and a dog to play with. My dog and cat are both fully vaccinated. I have a dedicated pet room that can be closed off for separation if needed, and a crate as well.

Absolutely wonderful pet sitter! You can immediately tell that Amir genuinely loves animals and truly cares about the pets he looks after. I left my Harlow with him for the weekend, and honestly, I think she had more fun with him than she does with me LOL! 😂 He has a great personality, provides amazing pet care, very good communication and pictures!! all at a very affordable price. I honestly can’t imagine choosing anyone else! Harlow is already excited to stay with Amir again soon. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their fur babies!

Susie was wonderful! She took great care of Maggie, made sure she got plenty of walks, and kept us updated throughout her stay with lots of pictures. It was so nice knowing Maggie was happy and well cared for while we were away. Susie was also incredibly friendly, responsive, and loved our dog. We would absolutely recommend her and would happily have her watch Maggie again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
