“This is our first time using rover and I can’t recommend Kimberely enough. She kept us updated with videos and pictures. I could tell how much she loved our dog. She is so sweet and we will absolutely use her again.”

“We couldn’t have found a better person to care for our German Shepherd. Karen was amazing and gave us updates and was very accommodating due to issues on my end. Thank you Karen!!”

“Katie did such a great job watching Reggie while my husband and I were out of town for a few days! We received plenty of updates and could tell he was well taken care of when we picked him up. Will definitely be using Katie again!”

“Hailey was wonderful! Benji loved the time he spent being able to play and enjoy a new setting. Hailey sent me pictures of Benji & also responded and kept me updated on how Benji was doing. If you are looking fir someone trustworthy to take care of you dog, I highly recommend Hailey (she is very professional).”

“We had to leave our new puppy for a week and she is not house broken yet. We were so glad Deana was available and able to watch her. She is the best! She sent updates to us regularly. We know our puppy had a fantastic time and was well cared for. We will absolutely use Deana again and would recommend her to everyone. She has the most ideal setup for your dogs!!”

“Cori was a super host for our puppies. She did everything in her power to make them feel comfortable and at home. Her daily updates kept us informed on our puppers.”

“Emily was the best person we could’ve asked for, for our sweet boy to stay with. It was a last minute request and Emily was very accommodating from adjusting the times we needed to pickup and drop off. She kept him active with walks, playing outside, and getting to interact with other dogs. She sent multiple updates including pictures and videos which eased my mind with our dog being in a new environment. Everest came home happy, well loved, and worn out. Emily treated him like her own. We would DEFINITELY book with her again.”

“Tricia was amazing with my puppy. She provided updates with pictures and let me know each morning as to how my puppy was doing. I could tell my dog really enjoyed her time with Tricia. I plan on booking with Tricia again in the future!!”

“I cannot express enough how grateful I am to Leann for taking such wonderful care of my dog, Abi, for an entire month. From the very beginning, Leann stepped in on extremely short notice, accepting our last-minute reservation without hesitation. This was such a relief for us, and from that moment on, Leann exceeded all our expectations. Throughout the entire month, Leann maintained constant communication with us, ensuring that we were always updated on Abi's well-being. She sent us frequent photos and videos, often more than once a day, allowing us to see how happy and comfortable Abi was under her care. It was clear from the start that Abi wasn’t just being taken care of; she was being genuinely loved and cherished. Leann didn’t just meet Abi’s basic needs; she went above and beyond to make sure Abi had plenty of exercise, playtime, and affection. Seeing Abi’s joyful expressions and playful moments in the photos and videos made us feel incredibly reassured, knowing she was in such good hands. Leann's commitment to Abi's happiness and her ability to create a warm, loving environment truly set her apart. Not only did Leann provide exceptional care, but she also brought a sense of peace and security to us during a time when we needed it most. Her professionalism, reliability, and genuine love for animals shone through in every interaction. We couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver for Abi, and we will absolutely be turning to Leann again in the future. Thank you, Leann, for everything you did for our family. You are truly a gem!”

“Maddie was an incredible sitter. She was very knowledgable and provided pictures and updates throughout the day. There is a big backyard which was great for Chester to get some energy out. I would absolutely request to use her again!”

“Josephine was able to take my request on short notice. We had a meet and greet the day prior to me dropping him off at a dog park and she had her 3 dogs as well as another potential client at the meet as well. All of the dogs got along great and Josephine is very knowledgeable and patient. She gave me advice for my pup for his anxiety for future stays. I am very appreciative.”

“Cathy was the best choice for our 4-year old pup! She sent daily pictures and went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable and loved while we were away. We will definitely be using Cathy’s services again in the future! We are so thankful for her incredible care for our pup!”

About: I am a stay-at-home mom so I am home most of the time. I can give your doggo all the attention they need. I've taken care of dogs really for as long as I can remember. I had a great dane as a teenager so big dogs are no problem. I am a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom so I am home a most of the time, never gone for long. I am available seven days a week. I have a large fenced in yard that doggies love! I only take one dog at a time or two "sibling" dogs so that everyone can get along and hang out together. I want dogs to feel welcome in my home. I have two cats that are very used to dogs. I have a very large dog kennel to keep your dog safe when I am out and about and at night.
“Highly recommend! My dog stayed here for a multiple day booking and had an amazing time. The sitter was fantastic and which allowed my dog to socialize and spend time around a friendly large breed dog, which was a wonderful bonus experience. It was great to see my dog so comfortable, well-cared for, and happily socializing. I will definitely use this sitter again in the future!”

“I was very pleased with Roxie’s stay! Stephanie and her family were awesome. They were very considerate and made me feel at ease leaving Roxie in their care. We received lots of communication and photos during our trip. Roxie seemed to have a great time and enjoyed the attention she was given. I would highly recommend Stephanie and hope Roxie can stay again next year when we go on vacation!”

“Johangely watched my dog Jenkins over the 4th of July weekend. She did such a wonderful job taking care of Jenkins. Johangely took lots of pictures while I was away which put my mind at ease, she even brought Jenkins to the 4th of July parade! I will 100% use Johangely next time I go out of town.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wilder
Austin was fantastic from the start and really did a great job taking care of our dog. Our beagle stayed with Austin for 1 night and he was super attentive, listened, and made her feel at home. We were looking for a sitter that more matched our home environment to make her comfortable, versus a kennel. Austin came through on that and our beagle was super comfortable! Austin was very responsive in communications and sent updates during her stay, which we appreciated! Would book Austin again as he treated Roxy very well.

Tyler did an incredible job taking care of our cat, who has a rather challenging personality. He was incredibly caring, patient, and created a comfortable environment for our cat to thrive in. He kept us informed multiple times a day through messages and shared amazing photos and videos. We completely relied on him, and he exceeded our expectations. Now that we’re planning to leave the city again, we know exactly who to call to board our cat.

Matt was great! Our boys, Hammer & Chisel, were well taken care of! Also, great communication from Matt made our first time using Rover a smooth experience. You won't be disappointed if you choose Matt to look after your fur babies, he's laid back and a pleasure to work with!

This was Mango’s first Rover sitter and as a (possibly overly so) doting dog mom I was a little anxious. Lexi was fantastic, providing daily updates and pictures that really helped put me at ease. Mango, on the other hand, clearly had a great time and enjoyed her vacation thoroughly. I would absolutely book with Lexi again!

Corey was great to work with! He was responsive to messages, sent pictures and gave updates on how our boy, Arlo was doing during his stay! He accommodated our slightly challenging travel schedule that made drop off later than we anticipated, which was very much appreciated! If we’re in the area we would have our dog stay with him again!

Jennifer and her family took great care of our 14 year old husky shepherd. She was safe, well cared for and enjoyed the company and love from them. They communicated easily and sent pictures…our trip was amazing and we never worried for a minute! Thank you Jennifer!!!!

Megan and Alexandra are the BEST! I have reviewed them before but want to say again... first and foremost, our girls are safe, loved, spoiled and oh, so happy when they are with them. It puts this nervous Momma's mind and heart at ease. They are very flexible and communicative - and all around great people. We hope they will always want to take our girls!
I had such a wonderful experience with Aubrey and Frank! From the very beginning, they were responsive, kind, and easy to communicate with. They were also incredibly accommodating with my last-minute travel plans, which I truly appreciate. Most importantly, Chloe seemed so happy and comfortable throughout her stay. It gave me peace of mind knowing she was in caring and trustworthy hands. They gave Chloe lots of love and attention and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for reliable pet sitters!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
