“Cori and her family did a wonderful job watching my puppy over thanksgiving! I am so thankful that they welcomed her into their home during the holiday. I loved that her family had several dogs and kids that my dog could interact with. You can tell Cori and her family and dog lovers!! Thanks again!!”

“Abbie was so great! She did a very thorough meet and greet with my dog and hers so make sure everyone got along before I left. She kept me very updated with pictures and videos which was much appreciated. Maui was well taken care of and loved, and left me with total peace of mind while traveling. Cannot recommend Abbie more, and will be using her again!”

“Patricia is the best!! Our dog absolutely loves staying with her. She takes him on multiple walks a day and plays with him. He has now stayed with her a couple of times & has had the best experience. Patricia gives us daily updates throughout his stay. Highly recommend!!”

“Dion was a great sitter. He sent me a couple photos each day of my dog, and assured me that he was all good. He has an outdoor area for play which was perfect. I will definitely book with him again when needed.”

“We are very satisfied with the care that Cathy provided for our Duke. We would definitely like for Cathy to watch Duke in the future. It was great to know that he was being well cared for while we were away from him.. Seeing pictures of him feeling right at home with her was a reassuring sight. Thank you Cathy for the wonderful care that you gave to our Duke, Steve”

“Sally was incredible with Frank! It was my first time using Rover and I'm glad I did. She was super communicative and even met up with me beforehand so I could have Frank meet her. He came back a happy boy! Definitely would have her watch him again.”

“Matt was a great caregiver for my 2 dogs (black lab & bernedoodle) while my family and I vacationed for a week. Prior to booking with him, he kindly offered to allow me to meet him and his dogs at his home. He quickly put my kind at ease and I knew that my dogs would be in great hands and be well cared for. While I was away, he sent nearly daily updates/photos and even a video of the dogs playing and were clearly right at home with his dogs and family. I highly recommend him and will definitely use him again in the future.”

“Our dog had great care with Caleigh! Great backyard for dogs, good communication, and she did everything she could to make our dog feel comfortable while we were away.”

About: Let’s get a new experience every day ! Parks, walks, happy hour. I will do my best to give your dog a safe space while you are gone. I do have a flexible full time job. Walks in the morning, long walks in the afternoon. More outside better! I have a lovely pet friendly neighborhood . I do not have a home camera. But, with other dogs I have watched, I send pictures all day long. I want the dog owner know their pet is safe and happy !

About: I love animals, and have a cat and dog of my own. I have a fenced yard for dogs to run around in. I am doing this so my dog can have playdates(!) and just because I love animals. I work from home Mon/Fri so I focus on weekend stays, and only accept only one family at a time. So rest assured that your cat/dog will be well taken care of! I work from home Monday and Friday, and my work is pretty flexible on other days. I go on walks every day and live minutes away from a dog park as well! I have a fenced yard and a dog to play with. My dog and cat are both fully vaccinated. I have a dedicated pet room that can be closed off for separation if needed, and a crate as well.
About: With 5 years of regular pet sitting experience, I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages - from bouncy puppies and playful kittens to my true area of expertise: senior pets. I understand the unique needs that come with each life stage, from puppy energy and socialization to the extra patience, gentle handling, and attentiveness that senior pets often require (think mobility issues, medication schedules, and just plain more TLC). Every pet in my care gets individualized attention tailored to their age, temperament, and routine. Whether it’s a high-energy young dog needing exercise and mental stimulation, or an older cat who just wants a quiet lap and consistent care, I adjust my approach to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I work from home so my schedule allows flexibility for lots of walks and potty breaks. My personal daily routine included exercise and regular walks, I’d love to include your pet! My home is one level and my yard is fenced in allowing for convenience to get outside easily and stay safe. Pets are welcome to roam free in my home, but happy to work with any crates or other training needs to stay on track.
“We were very happy with Kim. She communicates really well and is great with dogs. We were using another sitter and we would get our dog returned a hot mess— but not with Kim. She is very kind, and caters to our dog’s needs and preferences to make their stay very easy and comfortable.”

“Alycia always provide great care for our 11 year old pug/chihaua mix. Cady had a great time hanging with her dog and the guest dog. She also provided regular update photos--always a comfort to see your dog at rest or play!”

“Our 15-month old Golden Retriever Cooper enjoyed an active weekend with Chrissy’s family, her their dog and a visiting Golden. Sounds like Cooper enjoyed playing with his big friends in Chrissy’s yard. Chrissy was super accommodating with an early drop off and a late pickup. She promptly replied to my texts and sent us pictures which we appreciated. Very happy with his stay and would return without hesitation.”

“Jessica was absolutely the best pet sitter! She was so sweet and really loves animals! She has the best setup for watching them in her home! She had a nice area for my cat to be separate if he chose to from her pets - but her pets were awesome also! I highly recommend her to everyone! I had been super anxious and worried about leaving my kitty, but my mind was at ease and I could relax on vaca because I knew my kitty was being extremely well taken care of! She also sent daily pics and notes, which was so great! Thank you so much Jessica!”

“Lisa is great and kept me updated about my pups the entire time I was gone. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter and will be using her services again in the future!”

About: My family had a dog and two cats when I was growing up, and I have made sure to keep pets in my household ever since. Now, my wife and I have a 10-year-old beagle named Bobby, and a five-year-old cat named Walter. Bobby and Walter are easy-going and do well around other pets. Bobby mostly keeps to himself, while Walter might try to get your pet to play with him. We live at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet neighborhood, and we have a partially fenced yard for your dog to play/relax in. Bobby loves lounging on our patio. I work from home full-time, and my wife works from home one-two days a week, so your pet will have constantly attention and love from us. I work from home, so I am available to board and look after your pet every day. I only board one pet at a time, so you can count on your pet getting full and constant attention. I have a partially fenced yard at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet neighborhood, with plenty of yard for your pet to play and relax.
“Moses had a great time staying with Paige and playing with her and her dog. Paige is very friendly and loves dogs, sent updates and pics, and dropoff and pickup were hassle-free. Highly recommended.”

Susie was wonderful! She took great care of Maggie, made sure she got plenty of walks, and kept us updated throughout her stay with lots of pictures. It was so nice knowing Maggie was happy and well cared for while we were away. Susie was also incredibly friendly, responsive, and loved our dog. We would absolutely recommend her and would happily have her watch Maggie again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
