About: I've had animals all my life including cats, dogs, fish, and lizards. I was responsible for them at an early age and now, I have raised my cat and dog on my own to be responsible members of society. Hello! I am currently a 3rd Grade ELA teacher here in Cincinnati. I’ve had animals all my life and would love to take care of yours when you are not available. Right now my openings are only on the weekends, but that will soon change during the summertime! I have three floors for pets to explore, a fenced in patio, and I live near three parks that dogs could take advantage of frequently.
“Courtney was super great and put me at ease while away from my cats! She listened and followed all my instructions carefully and her communication was great. Highly recommend her!”

“Olivia went above and beyond for my 2 cats. They are both shy with strangers but they are very social and get desperately lonely when I leave. I asked Olivia to be patient with them and just sit on the floor the entire half hour even if they’re too shy to come out of hiding for a few days. Not only did she do that, but she even stayed extra long one day in order to win my cats’ trust. By the last couple days, she had my cats asking for scratches and playing fetch with her! It was a huge relief to know that my girls were able to connect with her. I would definitely hire her again.”

“We continuously book Susan whenever we travel. She is so thorough, thoughtful, and kind every time. It always brings us peace of mind to know our cats are well taken care of when we are away. She is so responsive and attentive and always leaves us a detailed summary of each visit, which makes us so happy to review at the end of each day. We are so happy we have Susan and so are our cats!🐱💘”

“Dana took great care of our cat while we were away! She sent pictures and a detailed note everyday, which made us feel so much better! I would definitely recommend her for cat sitting.”

About: Hi, I’m Alexa! I am a 22 year old lifelong animal lover with over 10 years of hands on experience caring for dogs. From energetic puppies to giant breeds, I have experience walking, feeding, playing with, and providing loving care to dogs. I will treat your pets like family and provide them with the same love, attention, and care that I give my own. My schedule is currently pretty open. Lots of sidewalks to walk on as well as 2 dog parks very close by. Apartment also has a pet spa and a dog run!
“Tori is the best! She takes great care of my two cats while I’m away, they are happy and healthy when I get home and I receive nice little updates while I’m gone. Pet care used to be my biggest stressor while traveling and now I can thoroughly enjoy myself knowing everything’s good at home :)”

“Ben was fantastic with Henry and Homer. I appreciated all the extra care and love Ben gave my guys when I was away. They were very well taken care of and Ben went above and beyond all expectations.”

About: I have been around dogs my whole life and of all ages. but I have specifically taken care of puppies and middle age dogs. Those dogs I have worked with the most with. I had a senior dog in my household that I took care of until she unfortunately passed from cancer and I had administered medication to her and such. I have also taken in 2 foster dogs one with separation anxiety and other medication issues due to being in the shelter. I would have to give her medication and baths on the regular due to her having multiple accidents in her crate. With the second dog they were a 2 month old puppy that I fostered for a weekend and took to an adoption event where they had gotten adopted. I want to make sure all animals are loved and cared for while there owners are away and so that the owner don’t have to worry and know there fur babies are okay. I take care of my pets at home already so it’s really just a built in thing for my schedule. It’s an easy thing to do during the day or to end your day with as well so it all just fits in nicely. And who doesn’t want to end their day with some snuggles. I want to treat my clients pets how I would want my pets treated. I wouldn’t mind any them to be pushed to the side or just be let out and then leave I would want my pets to be played with and have some attention and love before heading out just so they know that someone is looking out for them until their owners are back

About: I’ve grown up with dogs as small as Chihuahuas and as large as Great Danes so I’m happy to accommodate dogs of any size and breed. I’ve had the opportunity to foster over a dozen strays with less than desirable beginnings, but I believe all pets can reach their full potential with love and attention. I’m high energy and active so I’ll take your dog for long walks if he or she is up for it. I have a flexible schedule so happy to work around your needs. I currently work from home and love breaking up my routine with caring for animals. Your pet would be a welcome addition to my day! Trust between a pet owner and sitter is essential and I’m always happy to do a test run before committing to any service, whether at my home or at yours.
“Grace was so fantastic with Mora and Finn! We have two very energetic Australian Shepherds. Grace was super kind and played with them outside for the entire visit! We look forward to having Grace dog-sit again!”

About: I regularly pet sit for friends and family. 1-3 weeks mostly; but can do just a few days as well. Private home with a fenced yard. Dog lead in yard is available. I love to walk! Short or long walks are all fine with me. I’ve been around dogs my entire life. I’ve owned 3 in my adult life. I even fostered a dog for 9 months! It was hard to give her up; but she went to a loving home. I’m honest and trustworthy and dogs just make every day better! I work a pretty flexible schedule. I’m retired so I have lots of time. If your dog likes car rides and public parks…awesome! There’s also 2-3 dog parks not far from my house I have a big yard that's about 70 yards deep and I have a secured lead in both front and back yards. For added safety, I attach an air tag to your pets collar. There are sidewalks all around my neighborhood for safe walks on a leash. I'm not a fan of dog parks. I prefer to select my walking path to ensure your pets safety. I live alone.
“Cathy was fantastic looking after our cats. We got lots of photos each day, which our previous Rover didn’t do. We will definitely have Cathy watch our cats next time we head out of town.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Newport
Grace was fantastic with our pup! She did drop-in visits during the work day to give our pup a potty break and some time to play. Our pup can be a little skittish and slow to warm up, but Grace was extremely patient. There were no more barks from our pup by her second visit, and he was so excited to see her. Would highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
