“AmariYah watched our two dogs while we went out of town and did a great job! They can be particular about who walks them but she got them out and about no problem. Absolutely would book her again.”
“Taylor did a great job taking care of our cats. She made sure they were doing well each visit (despite them being a bit a reclusive). She made sure they got fed, had clean water and had a suitable litter box. She been hung around a little to see if they would come out. Will definitely hire her again.”

“Ben was fantastic with Henry and Homer. I appreciated all the extra care and love Ben gave my guys when I was away. They were very well taken care of and Ben went above and beyond all expectations.”

About: I grew up with dogs, cats, and other small animals. I used to pet-sit and house-sit in high school/college, and now I work from home full-time, so I have some flexibility to offer whatever services you may need! I have a 4-year-old Cavapoo named Ringo who I trained/potty-trained on my own. He's a super chill dog who gets along well with other dogs. I work from home full-time (9am-5pm), so I can stay at your home to house-sit/pet-sit if you prefer, or I can do drop-ins at any point during the morning/day/night. I live in an apartment, so I can't keep your pets at my home. But I have a car, so I can take them to the dog park or on walks—whatever you prefer!
About: I'm a lifelong dog lover with two of my own a 7-year-old Golden Retriever and a 3-year-old Lab/Aussie mix. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have years of experience dog sitting. I treat every dog like family and am comfortable with all breeds and energy levels. Whether your pup needs playtime, cuddles, or just someone to keep them company, I’m here to help! I'm a graduate student at Xavier University with a flexible schedule. I’m available for walks or check-ins throughout the day and can also stop by in the evenings after class. With my experience and having dogs of my own I am able to ensure dog safety and that their needs are met. I will also treat your dogs as if they are my own.

About: You can count on me to treat your pet like another member of my family. Growing up on a farm exposed me to animals of all sizes from an early age and gave me a deep love for them. We always had dogs and cats, plus other animals. Because of this, I am comfortable administering medications to your pets and ensuring they get the love and attention you are looking for. I've had my rescue Pit, Rusty, for the past 5 years, and I love being a dog dad. I am a bit of a runner, so I am happy to take on high-energy dogs, whether that is for a longer walk or a good run. I am looking forward to helping you with your pet's needs and working toward being their new best friend! I currently work remotely as a freelancer and have a lot of flexibility in my schedule both during the day and evenings. I can host most weekends and live down from Eden Park. I'll do my best to work around your pet's needs and routine to meet you where you are! I believe in following what works best for your pet and reinforcing any behaviors/training you are currently working on with them. I also believe every pet should be loved and spoiled just like any family member. My day job is communications and marketing, so you can expect regular and consistent updates from me.
About: I have cared for dogs of all kinds - including puppies, seniors, dogs with medical issues requiring medication or a special diet, dogs with behavioral issues, and more. I treat each pet as if they were my own, because while I am not in a place to have my own pet, pets are family! I have open availability, including overnights at either my place or yours - whatever is best for you and your four-legged companion. I have reliable transportation so I can safely transport your pet in my vehicle if necessary. I live in a very walkable neighborhood with a large park, and take the dogs I care for at my apartment on frequent long walks. I have space to crate them if necessary. I will care for your pet in your home in whichever way is best and most comfortable for you!
“Olivia did a great job taking care of my cat while I was on vacation. Directions were followed, she kept in touch and pictures and videos were sent. Highly recommend.”

About: I have over 30 years of experience caring for animals and truly treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m dependable, patient, attentive, and understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pet. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, companionship, or simply lots of love and attention, I’ll make sure your pet feels happy, safe, and cared for while you’re away. ❤️ My schedule is very flexible, which allows me to make pet care a priority. I’m currently not working, so I’m available throughout the day and can often accommodate same-day or last-minute requests. I’m open to daily or weekly care and have plenty of time for walks, playtime, feeding, companionship, and lots of love and attention. I genuinely love animals and enjoy spending my day caring for them! I treat every pet as if they were my own, with safety, patience, and lots of love. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions, routines, feeding schedules, and any special needs. I also treat my clients’ homes with the same care and respect I would want for my own. At my home, pets receive plenty of attention, supervised outdoor time, walks, and playtime, with nearby parks for extra exercise and adventure.
“Breanna was great as always. Very accommodating and actually helped with an unexpected house/ weather issue that popped up. She’s great and I feel very comfortable having her care for my cats/ home.”

About: Dogs have always been part of my life! I've had many of my own and I regularly watch dogs for family and friends. I'm comfortable with all energy levels and personalities, from high-drive puppies to seniors who just want a slow walk and a nap. I follow your instructions to the letter, and I'll send photo updates every visit so you know exactly how things went. I'm an Army veteran, so showing up on time and doing the job right isn't optional for me. Availability: afternoons and evenings on weekdays, flexible on weekends. Weekdays I'm available for walks and drop-ins from 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and I'm flexible on weekends; morning, midday, or evening. Recurring weekday visits are ideal for me, so if you need someone consistent for the same time each day, I'm your guy. I keep my calendar updated and usually respond to requests within a few minutes. In your home, I follow your instructions exactly feeding amounts, medication timing, which doors stay closed, where the leash lives. I double-check gates and locks before I leave every time, refresh water at every visit, and never let a dog off-leash in an unfenced area regardless of how well they listen. On walks I stay on familiar, low-traffic routes and use a leash and harness the whole time. I keep your vet's info and an emergency contact on file before the first visit, and if anything seems off limping, not eating, unusual behavior you'll hear from me immediately, not at the end of the day. You'll get photos and a short update after every single visit. I'm an Army veteran, so being on time and following the plan is just how I operate.
“Susan was an excellent cat sitter! She took notes at our meet & greet, sent many pics of my babies, and kept everything sparkling clean…better than me! I will most definitely hire her again in the future.”

“I had never utilized this app before so I was very scared at first but Sally made everything seamless. Very happy to have picked her to take care of my babies considering that cats are not the same as dogs. She immediately connected with them and I felt at easy while being away. She sent us pictures and updates every single day and was always quick to respond.”

“Haley took really good care of my cats and clearly followed my many instructions! Great communication and her updates were clear and helpful I came home to two happy cats.”

“You are lovely, Hannah! Thank you for your consideration and confidence :-) . I am a single woman and my cat Grandma clearly loves you; I’d be happy to request your help in the future again if you’ll have us!”

“Dana has been so awesome with our 8-yr old cat, Momo. Momo was recovering from a surgery and was on a cone, so we’d been worried about leaving her by herself. We trusted her with Dana and we’re so glad we did because Dana has reallllyyyy helped us out (and calmed our separation anxieties too). She is calm and kind, and was great with Momo—she sent us regular, detailed updates and pictures from her visits. Dana was also great about giving Momo her daily medications, food and pets, and she actually did MUCH more than what we had asked of her. Really appreciate Dana and will definitely reach out to her in the future!! Highly recommend her <3 :)”

About: I have had multiple dogs since I was in elementary school. I have taken care of a variety of breeds, sizes, and ages, from puppy to adopting a senior Lab. I currently have a 1 year old Golden Retriever. I work from home 5 days a week, so taking care of my dog is part of my daily routine. We love to go on walks through our neighborhood and spend time outside. I have a fenced in, spacious backyard for plenty of outdoor play time. We treat our dog like a member of the family. We don't currently use a crate, but began the puppy phase crate training, so can provide/use a crate if your pup prefers one!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Newport
Ben has an energy where animals of all kinds gravitate to him. Both of my pets were instantly taken with him and they felt at ease with him looking after them – the photos he sent me during the check ins made that very obvious. In the past, I would have looked to take my cat and dog to a Pet Resort – but I prefer having Ben come in to check on them because that takes away the anxiety, seclusion, and chaos of a resort. I've already booked Ben to look after these two again and I will be doing so in the months to come! Very highly recommended...

Breanna was such a big help with my Benny! She sent pictures every time she checked in on him, which gave me so much peace of mind. He even had an accident while I was away, and she went above and beyond by cleaning it up and doing the laundry. I really appreciated how attentive and caring she was with him. I would definitely recommend Breanna!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
