About: I regularly pet sit for friends and family. 1-3 weeks mostly; but can do just a few days as well. Private home with a fenced yard. Dog lead in yard is available. I love to walk! Short or long walks are all fine with me. I’ve been around dogs my entire life. I’ve owned 3 in my adult life. I even fostered a dog for 9 months! It was hard to give her up; but she went to a loving home. I’m honest and trustworthy and dogs just make every day better! I work a pretty flexible schedule. I’m retired so I have lots of time. If your dog likes car rides and public parks…awesome! There’s also 2-3 dog parks not far from my house I have a big yard that's about 70 yards deep and I have a secured lead in both front and back yards. For added safety, I attach an air tag to your pets collar. There are sidewalks all around my neighborhood for safe walks on a leash. I'm not a fan of dog parks. I prefer to select my walking path to ensure your pets safety. I live alone.
“Dana took great care of our cat while we were away! She sent pictures and a detailed note everyday, which made us feel so much better! I would definitely recommend her for cat sitting.”

About: Hello! My name is Kala, and I have had a multitude of animals throughout my life. I grew up with police trained German Shepherds, and have had their animals ranging from Ball Pythons to Black Cats. I worked at a Vet Clinic as a Technician’s Assistant in High School, and walked dogs in my family’s neighborhood to make money before going to college. I dog sit friends and family’s dogs regularly, and would love to take care of your animals! I work part-time during the week, so I’m available to take care of animals in the mornings M-F. I am also available all day Sundays! I am always respectful of other people’s spaces, and will ensure your pet feels safe with me both inside and outside! I will also ensure your pet feels loved and cared for, and you feel safe having me around.
“Olivia was a great cat sitter! She took great care of our cat, gave him lots of attention and followed all our care requests. We will certainly be booking with her again!”

“Cathy was fantastic looking after our cats. We got lots of photos each day, which our previous Rover didn’t do. We will definitely have Cathy watch our cats next time we head out of town.”

“We love Breanna! This was our first time doing drop in visits instead of boarding while we were on a weekend trip and it went great! Bre is super sweet and our dog loved her! She always gave great updates and responded in a timely manner. She has a dog of her own and took great care of ours while we were gone! Definitely will be booking again in the future! Thanks so much Breanna!”

About: I grew up in a home full of animals and have been caring for pets my whole life. My family always had dogs—everything from a Yorkie and Dalmatian to two Beagles and a sweet white Boxer who was deaf—so I’m comfortable with a wide range of breeds, personalities, and energy levels. I also cared for rabbits, chickens, and several guinea pigs, giving me experience with different types of pets and their unique needs. Whether it’s dogs or other small animals, I’m patient, attentive, and treat every pet like part of the family. My schedule is best suited for weekend sitting, as I work full-time as a second grade teacher and usually have evening yoga classes or seasonal volleyball matches during the week. However, I can be flexible depending on the week—just let me know in advance and I’ll do my best to accommodate! I take pet safety and comfort seriously, and I always treat every animal as if they were my own. Your pet will get plenty of snuggles, attention, and a calm, caring environment while they’re with me. I’m happy to do walks as needed, follow your pet’s routine, and make sure they feel secure and loved the entire time. My goal is for you to feel confident that your furry family member is safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Nicole is awesome!! Apollo loves when Nicole comes over to take him for walks! She also sends the best pictures of him while I’m at work! She even braves the snow to make sure he’s taken care of, a real gem! Couldn’t recommend her more!!!”

About: I’ve taken care of many dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and rabbits within my college years and would love to keep helping people by making sure their fur children are well taken care of. I currently work a part time job and like to work out. If my daily walk has a furry friend with me, that’s even more welcome! I would have no problem in house sitting so long as I am able to get to work for the day and come back to see the little guy/gal. I will be more than happy to play/walk/ visit with the pets as much as possible. I enjoy taking care of animals and will do so to the best of my ability as if they are my own pet.

About: Hi! I’m Sydney, and I love working with animals. I’m responsible, caring, and patient, and I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care. I’ve had hands-on experience sitting, volunteering and shadowing in animal care settings, which helped me learn more about pet behavior, handling, and daily care. I’m comfortable following routines, paying attention to details, and giving each pet the care they need. I do work part-time so I will have some availability throughout the week and on weekends, making it easy to provide check-ins, feeding, playtime, and lots of care for your pets. I treat every pet like my own and always follow the owner’s instructions. Whether in my home or yours, I’ll provide a safe, clean, and calm environment with plenty of attention, exercise, and care.
“Lauren was fantastic with our cats! She medicated our anxious tabby and sent pictures each day! Lauren remained cool and collected when we ran into house alarm snafus. I would highly recommend her services!”

About: I grew up with Weimaraners 🐾 — and thanks to some very patient parents, a few determined (and slightly sneaky 😉) cats 🐱 and other little critters 🐹 made their way into our family too. With nearly 35 years of devoted “cat mommying,” Princess 👑 — my Norwegian Forest cat — is my current fur baby and reigning queen of the house 🏡✨. My schedule is fully flexible 📅, which means your pets are never squeezed into a busy day — they’re the priority 🐾🤍. I maintain their routine in the comfort of their own home 🏡 so they feel secure, relaxed, and genuinely cared for 😌✨. I’m passionate about animals of all kinds 🐶🐱🐾 and committed to providing attentive, personalized care so your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved 🤍 — and have a whole lot of fun 🎾🦴✨ — while you’re away. With decades of hands-on experience, I understand everything from daily routines and medication to reading subtle feline moods like a pro. I don’t just “check in.” I provide intentional, tailored care designed around your pet’s unique personality and needs. Whether it’s a structured walk, enrichment playtime, or calm companionship for a senior kitty or dog, your pet receives focused, one-on-one attention. You’ll receive thoughtful updates, beautiful photos, and clear communication — because trust isn’t optional. It’s everything. Peace of mind should come standard. Boutique care. White-glove attention. About: I have dog sitted for close friends and work colleagues during graduate school. I am still new to dog sitting but I take direction very well and I am willing to learn new things and meet new people! I am currently a pharmacy resident and work mainly during the weekdays from 7am-5pm and work every other weekend starting this upcoming July. My availability for June is open during the afternoons and most early morning for weekdays and open on weekends! I make a point to follow instructions to a T, and if there are opportunities to go above and beyond, I will do so. If dog sitting, I make sure to give the utmost attention to your pet while also meeting your expectations. As for house sitting, I like to treat a home as if it were my own: tidy and organized.
“Corey is the best! He has been regularly dropping in on my two pups for a few weeks now and they absolutely love him. He is reliable, punctual, and just has a kind and calming presence. He knows and understands dogs well, and that experience shows. I would trust him with my pets any day!”

“Anise was very kind, responsive, and took great care of my cat while I was on vacation. I would recommend her to anyone and next time I go on a trip, I will be happy to book her for my cat. :)”

About: I have had multiple dogs since I was in elementary school. I have taken care of a variety of breeds, sizes, and ages, from puppy to adopting a senior Lab. I currently have a 1 year old Golden Retriever. I work from home 5 days a week, so taking care of my dog is part of my daily routine. We love to go on walks through our neighborhood and spend time outside. I have a fenced in, spacious backyard for plenty of outdoor play time. We treat our dog like a member of the family. We don't currently use a crate, but began the puppy phase crate training, so can provide/use a crate if your pup prefers one!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Covington
Tess was absolutely amazing with Louie and Twiggy. She stepped in on very short notice, communicated constantly, followed every instruction carefully, and treated both dogs with so much patience and affection. She sent thoughtful updates and photos, noticed small details, asked the right questions, and made sure they were comfortable, safe, fed, and cared for throughout the visit. It was obvious that she genuinely loves animals and takes the responsibility seriously. We felt completely reassured knowing they were with her and would book her again without hesitation. Highly, highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
