Home away from home!!!!Walton, KY

Hi, my name is Jamie! I have been with rover since 2015 and watching dogs privately since 2013. My husband and I have 5 children who are very hands on and love playing with the pups. We do ask that your dog be good with children as well as other dogs. I work from home, so the pups are rarely left alone. We have a fenced in back yard and dogs are free to run and play as they please. As long as the dogs are not destructive, they are allowed to sleep with us or in the kids rooms at night. We like to take walks with the dogs. I do ask that you let me know ahead of time if your dog walks well on a leash or not, or if they attempt to chase when triggered, so that we can handle that when necessary. We have gotten pretty good about keeping things off the floor however, did you see I have 5 kids! If your pup tends to be a chewer or there is something in particular they like to get a hold of, please let me know so I check extra carefully for things left laying around. If your dog has any anxiety, please let me know. I do not require dogs to be crate trained UNLESS they have anxiety which may cause them to be destructive to the house. (By destructive, I am referring to chewing the walls, doors, trim, chewing furniture, and/or digging at the carpet) If the dog becomes destructive, I will ask for permission to crate, or you will be given the option to have the dog picked up. We will exercise the dogs a lot, especially if they have anxiety. We can help your dog deal with it much better, if we are aware of it. If your dog begins marking, we expect it to an extent when they first come in, as others have already gotten to it. If it continues and I am unable to get it corrected, I will use belly bands. Please let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to meeting you and your pup.

******PICK UP/DROP OFF******

I ask that you please be respectful of my time. I do my best to be as flexible as possible with everyone and accommodate your drop off/pick up windows. We will set a time that works for both us and I expect people to come at that time. If you're going to be late, please let me know before you are late. When the door is going to be open and I have a new dog coming in, all dogs are secured either in their crates, in the yard or they are gated in the house. I generally put pups up about 10 minutes before you are expected to arrive. I do this for the safety of the dogs as well as to prevent any from running out the door. If you are 15 minutes late and have not let me know, I will schedule you a new time. Just as you would not expect me to keep your pup caged any longer than necessary, I will not do that to the other pups here. Also, sometimes my family schedules dinners with family, or makes plans to see a movie. If we are planning something around your drop off/pick up time, I'll let you know so you can make any necessary arrangements if you are unable to keep your time. My biggest request is just that you communicate with me. Thank you!

Energetic Home with Fenced Yard!Pleasant Ridge, Cincinnati, OH

Hello! My name is Scotty, and I have been caring for dogs all my life. I was taught at an early age that caring for dogs is an important responsibility, and I take it very seriously. I do not look at dog sitting as a way to make money, I look at it knowing this is what I was meant to do.

When your dog boards with me, he/she will get the best personalized care possible all while staying in the comfort of a home space. I have a fully fenced backyard where your dog can romp around and play and do their business. I also live in a quite and safe neighborhood where we can take daily walks. If able, we could also visit one of our favorite dog parks.

Your dog will hardly ever be left alone, as I work with Rover full-time and I have my own canine companion, Adler. He is an energetic, Lab/Treeing Walker Coonhound mix and LOVES making new friends. He is approximately 80 pounds, so if your dog doesn't play well with others, I might not be the best choice.

I want what is best for your pet - and I want you to feel comfortable leaving your pet in my care - so I offer complimentary Meet & Greets which will allow your dog(s) to meet me and my dog at my home. Here we can go over any special needs your pet may require and you can get a feel for the environment they would be in while you're away.

Drop-Off/Pick-Ups need to be scheduled with me ahead of time so I can plan my day accordingly. This also helps me keep the dogs I care for calm and safe. Each "night" booked is for a 24 hour period. If pick up time is past the 24 hour mark on the final day,* it will incur either a half or full daycare charge (Half = $13, Full = $25). For example if drop off is at 8am, and the dog is picked up at 1pm on the final day, there is a $13 charge for a half day of daycare.

*I give a 2 hour grace period.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me!

I hope to hear from you, and meet your dogs! :)

Best,

Scotty W.

Professional Home Away From Homenorwood, OH

I am taking all safety precautions regarding covid19 and can safely perform all of my usual services while masked and practicing social distancing.

For dog walking and cat care clients, please include the time frame you need the service and the nearest street intersection by your home in the first message. For house sitting, in the first message, please include your nearest intersections, regular schedule of your pup and what your pups care needs are. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you :)

My name is Lux, although my profile says Lucas. I would love to help you with all of your pet care needs. I'm experienced with dogs of all ages and sizes. All breeds welcome.

I have been working professionally with pets since 2007. I am trained in dog behavior, health, grooming, diet, and training. I have worked assisting trainers with teaching behavioral classes, been a kennel supervisor at two different facilities, and a former foster parent to several dogs with slight behavioral issues. I have experience working at daycares/pet boarding facilities, dog walking companies and dog groomers assistant for around 4 years each at several Chicago businesses. I also worked at PAWS Chicago as an intern during college, and have completed classes at the Animal Career Academy in canine behavior.

I have been providing all of my pet care services full time myself since Fall 2014. Overall, I would say that I am very well rounded in my expertise and I am great with all breeds, all sizes and all temperaments of dogs. My favorite part about pet care is getting to spend time getting to know each new furry friend - their quirks and personalities. It's wonderful when my pup, Kove, can get a lifelong pal too :)

I am familiar with all health care and emergency needs. I know the signs that point to an urgent vet visit being necessary. I know how to check canine vitals and perform canine CPR. i have a full canine first aid kit carefully curated for all potential needs. I am able to give medication, including injections. I have some vet tech experience and can tend to wounds and healing as needed. Of course you would be kept up to date if anything happened! I just want to reassure you that no matter what happens, im able to take on the task. Please be sure to leave emergency contact information if you will be unable to be reached at any point of your pups stay.

Dogs that have issues on leash are welcome as long as reactive or aggressive behaviors are not displayed off leash. If your dog is large or very strong, they need to come with some type of corrective collar, head harness or a front clipping harness for walks for safety purposes.

I would be so grateful for the chance to hang out with and care for your fur babies ♡

Dog Walking

I have flexible availability. All walks are 30 minutes long and can include walking, indoor/outdoor play time, feeding, giving water, medication and potentially other things if needed. It is up to you and what you feel is best for your pup.

I work with pups of all ages. I strive to maintain consistency with the training you are working on at home on all of our walks while also making them fun and exciting!

I can help with all types of behaviors and all ages, as long as your pup will allow me to work with them. I can walk up to 2 pups at a time. I do not walk multiple clients together, only pups from the same home. Distractibility, over excitement, leash reactivity, pulling, ect are all behaviors I can work with. If pups that I am unable to walk have safe fenced in yard access, I can let them in the yard and play with them or let them do what they prefer during my visits. I am accommodating and am open to working with pups with behaviors I have not listed above if I am able to help.

Thank you for your consideration and for reading my profile!

Dogs are my life, my love, 24/7!!!Montgomery / Blue Ash / Cincinnati, OH

Hello, My name is Tracy

For the past ten years, I have opened my home and heart, as a dog foster Mom, for HART Cincinnati Animal Rescue. Our rescue saves dogs that have been abused, neglected, or unwanted. I have fostered and vetted 100's of dogs through those years, and housed them in our home just like our own. I have had all sorts of personalities come through these doors. Currently I have two forever fosters living here. One has been here 7 years, and her name is Allie. Allie is an 11 yr old Shihtzu, one of my favorite breeds. Our second forever foster is Papa. Papa is our 10 yr old, blind Toy-Poodle. We love them both just like our own. I LOVE all animals, but the older senior pets will always hold a special place in my heart, and I cherish every moment I have with them. I also have extensive experience with senior animals that have special/medical needs.

All my Rover stays enjoy free roam of our house, and are welcome to sleep in our bed, unless you prefer your baby sleep elsewhere. We have a fenced in yard suitable for small to medium size dogs. I never leave any babies unattended when we go outside, and I am here 24/7 with every Rover stay. Directly behind our house is a beautiful, which in good weather I use daily. We also have a fenced in grass area, and two large secure decks. I do not work outside the home...dogs are my life and this is what I love to do!

Home is where my heart is...I love my family, and equally love animals as much. People consider me a homebody, and this is where I am happiest. Your pet will be treated just as I treat a loved one. I love having animals around me, and when I don't, I feel like something is missing. I want your dog as happy as if they were my own, and my old babies, are very very happy :)

My dog weight preference is small to medium dogs. It is what I have always had in our house and I am very comfortable with them.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Animal Enthusiast :)Cincinnati, OH

I have loved animals all my life. I have had multiple cats and dogs growing up. I currently have two cats and two wonderful puppies. I am a college graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Public Health. I am currently taking my vet school prerequisites at the University of Tennessee and plan to go to vet school next year. I trained service dogs in my undergraduate and after I pursued my certification in service dog training. After I obtain my DVM, I would love to have my own rescue and service dog organization. Animals are my passion and they make each day on this earth better because of their presence in my life :)

Please no females in heat, unaltered makes or dogs that might mark. Please bring your dogs own food, mine do not eat dog food. Thank you :)

Typical pick up and drop off hours are 9AM- 7PM. Please be mindful of this, but let me know ahead of time if you need something different! :) If you need to pick up later than this, I will need to charge for an extra day.

Home Full Time Will Spoil your BabyCincinnati, OH

I absolutely LOVE dogs. As early as I can remember, I have had a dog. One of my favorite past times is to take long walks with a dog. On cold or rainy days, there is something special about curling up with a dog, scratching it’s tummy, and enjoying time together. Your fur baby will enjoy playtime, treats (with your permission), walks and, in general, be spoiled rotten. Many of my return canine visitors become very excited at the mention of my name or when they see their bags being packed. They run to greet me when they see me, with a “see ya later Mom or Dad“ attitude. I have always had a special bond with animals, dogs in particular. I believe a dog's heart is pure which is why they give us their unconditional love.

Happy to care for your four legged friend.Northside, Cincinnati, OH

We would love to watch your dog! We are located in Northside and have ample room in our home for your pet to be comfortable. I work from home while my wife works at a local hospital so your dog will be watched virtually 24/7. We love to take walks through the neighborhood or in a nearby park and have a dog park just a short drive from our home. We have both had dogs in our lives and look forward to caring for your furry friend.

Update 6/24/14: I have now taken on part time work that keeps me away from the house M-F for about 4 hours.

Why I love dog sitting

We have been dog lovers through our lives. I had dogs while I was a child and was taught the responsibility of caring for them early. My wife did not get her first dog until she was finished with school and cared for her for 13 years. We have friends and family with busy lives and have been able to step in and help with dog sitting on many occasions.

Meet my pets

We are a mature stable married couple who have watched dogs for friends and family over many years. We do not have any pets in our home at this time so your dog would have all of our attention. We have given our dog medications in the past and would be comfortable doing so for yours as well. Our home has hardwood floors, a flight of stairs to the bedrooms, and a relaxing sunroom. Your dog would be welcome throughout our home. We do not have a fenced yard but we do have a place to play if your dog is comfortable off leash. We will take walks for good exercise if your dog does better on leash. The dog park is a short drive and we would love to play off leash there.

About my yard

We do not have a fenced yard. Our lot is deep but narrow and our garage sits at the back of the property. We have a small yard and the driveway space to play and to take care of business. The front yard is slopped toward the street so it's not the best play space.

Vet Tech who will spoil your pets!Mount Airy, Cincinnati, OH

I would love to bring your fur babies into my home like they were my own! I have three small dogs (under 16lbs.), two friendly Huskies and two cats (all current on vaccines and spayed/neutered and do great with new animals!)

About this sitter:

Hi, my name is Kyei and I love all animals. I am a Veterinary Technician who's enrolled in an online college program, so I am home 100% of the time. I also have experience in obedience training and basic behavior modification. I would love to help you and your trainer in continuing your dog's (or cat's) training routines!

I have a great deal of experience with a variety of animals including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, gerbils, reptiles, livestock and wildlife. I am very flexible and would be very comfortable pet sitting any other animals besides dogs. I would love to come to your home and help with your pups!

Experience:

Veterinary Nurse, dog training, and fostering wild and domestic animals. I worked at an animal hospital in West Chester for 4 years and 3 years at the SPCA. This made me proficient at giving medications, performing all the treatments your own pups receive at your Vet's office, walking dogs of all sizes, and caring for sick animals.

Why I love dog sitting:

I got my very first dog, Midnight, when I was in 1st grade and have been in love with animals ever since. I cannot imagine my life without a house full of dogs and I just don't understand how people live without them! My pets are not just pets, they're family. I love pet sitting because I can enjoy the fun chaos that comes with a house full of dogs without my husband divorcing me :D

Meet my pets:

I have two cats, Sterling and Lynx, who are shy at first, but eventually come downstairs to meet new pups/critters. I also have three small dogs (all under 16 pounds) and two Huskies who absolutely LOVE making new life long playmates!

About my yard:

It's completely fenced in, mostly flat and grassy.

My experience administering medication:

I am comfortable giving all types of medications and treatments. I am a Veterinary Nurse, so all the vaccines, antibiotic injections, dental cleanings, catheter placements, etc., that your own dogs and cats get at their Vet, I performed regularly! All of my animals require medications/supplements and I am also comfortable giving both subcutaneous or intramuscular injections such as Depo, Adequan, allergy, insulin, and vitamin B.

Large Fenced Yard ---Home Full-TimeCincinnati, OH

Our home is a place where your pets will be treated like family members and will receive the love and attention that we have always given our own pets. We have had dogs for as long as we've been a family and dogs have been a part of my life since childhood. We have also fostered and cared for many dogs over the years and we are the “go to” people when friends and relatives need a pet sitter. We decided that it just makes sense to offer our home to dogs in need of a temporary home while their owners are on vacation or for other reasons are unable to care for them. Dogs find and make themselves at home at our place and we treat them like they're our own. I don't work outside of the home so I'm home most all the time with the exception of taking and picking our 15 yo son up from school and twice weekly Taekwondo classes in the evening. I'm a registered nurse in addition to having a pretty extensive history caring for pets with special needs including insulin dependent diabetic dogs and those with various other medical needs including postoperative care. We have a large back yard enclosed by a 6 foot privacy fence with lots of room to run and play as well as a park with a lake behind our home which we take the dogs to when the weather is nice. We are literally a hop, skip and a jump to CVG via the Anderson Ferry which is just down the hill from our home which is a great convenience. I know that if I needed someone to care for my pet I would want them to stay at a place like ours.

4 Years of Professional ExperienceIndependence, KY

I have cared for animals of all types my entire personal life, and have four years experience working in a kennel, as a bather in the grooming salon, and now as a professional dog groomer. Name a dog breed and I've cared for it; from a 4lb chihuahua to a 200lb English mastiff. From an energetic six month old Labrador Retriever puppy, to a 14 year old Maltese. I can bathe, clip nails, do basic training, your standard walk, or simply watch over your dog in my home.

In short, whatever you need, I can provide it; professionally and with a smile. I cater my care to each dog's individual needs and each owner's request. No two dogs are the same, and you deserve a sitter who can assess your needs and deliver.

For clarification, I do have two dogs. However, they are kept two floors above the boarding space in the master bedroom, and will never come in contact with client's dogs. There are two floors and two closed doors separating them. I also have an indoor cat, but he is well socialized with dogs.

Also for clarification, I have crates (54" that fit even Great Danes comfortably) and I have hammock style beds (as modeled by my girls in the photos above) although the beds only fit up to around 60-70 lbs. If you prefer, you may absolutely bring your own bed from home!

I have crates, beds, bowls, and toys! All I need your pet and their food. :)

Please note: it is a requirement that dogs in my care are crate trained. I may choose not to crate based on the dogs size / energy, but being comfortable in cages is a necessity.
