“Susan was so amazing. She is the kindest person and truly loves all animals. Delilah stayed with her for two nights and had a great time with Susan and the other pups at her house. Her large, fenced yard is a dog's dream. Susan also had great communication and provided frequent pictures and updates. I highly recommend.”

“Dana was so good with my little dog. My dog is 10yrs old and very shy and timid. Dana took her out for a walk every couple of hours for a walk or let her out in yard. She didn't have any peeing accidents. She was so good to her. Dana also updated me everyday and sent me pictures of my dog during her stay. Sugar my dog was comfortable. I knew Sugar wouldn't eat much while I was gone that's the way she is. I came home a day early yet I let Dana keep the whole amount as tip. I would definitely use Dana again.”

“It’s clear that Michael and Anne love dogs. They are the best! While I didn’t pick Greta up after her stay, it was clear that she had a fun time and was in great shape. Highly recommend!”

“Melissa kept up updated with pictures of our boy daily. He seemed to have had so much fun playing with their other dogs. Thank you for snuggling him and treating him like your own!”

“Sally was so kind and communicative while watching my dog while I was out of town for a few days. She took great care of him and sent photos and updates regularly so I knew how he was doing. I would highly recommend working with Sally to take care of your pet!”
“Matthew and his family always treat Oakley like one of their own. Leaving him with Matthew gives me peace of mind that I know he will be taken care of and I don’t have to worry. Always excellent!”

“Highly recommend Alycia (and Scott) as a dog sitter! She took great care of our dog Walter for a week and sent daily pics/videos. Reliable and caring. Will definitely book her again! Thank you, Alycia & Scott!”

“My two pups came home happy and sleepy after a great two night visit. I especially loved getting texts with photos updating me on how they were settling in. Would definitely recommend Joseph and Tasha!!”

About: I have 50+ hours volunteering to walk dogs at a local shelter. I am capable of preforming basic dog and cat grooming (cutting nails, bathing, tooth brushing, etc.) and I have extensive experience caring for senior pets and training puppies. I am currently working a full time job that is very flexible, so I have plenty of time to devote to your pets! Drop ins and house sitting are my primary options! I’ve done it all: pet sitting, long or short walks, boarding and, of course, taking care of my own pets! I’ve given medication to dogs/cats of various ages and sizes. We can go for walks, hikes, swim and even have a park day. If your dog is less active, I can adjust our activity level!
“Highly recommend! My dog stayed here for a multiple day booking and had an amazing time. The sitter was fantastic and which allowed my dog to socialize and spend time around a friendly large breed dog, which was a wonderful bonus experience. It was great to see my dog so comfortable, well-cared for, and happily socializing. I will definitely use this sitter again in the future!”

“Tammi is the best!!! ❤️ Takes super great care of your furry family members. Is concerned about special needs and any comfort requirements your pet may need. Is by far the beat pet "boarding " experience we've had.??”

“Kerri and her family were amazing!!! I received multiple updates each day with lots of fun pictures and videos of our Moose's shenanigans. She was immediate with messages, and watched carefully at feeding time with her dogs, due to Moose's allergies. I was so grateful that we found Kerri, and she will be our FIRST call when we book our next year's vacation!!!?”

“This was our first time using Rover. I was so happy that we found Taylor to care for our goldendoodle, Rosie. Rosie was well cared for during her stay. Taylor was very responsive and gave us updates. We look forward to having Rosie stay with Taylor again.”

“Karen was GREAT with our golden retriever Max and I would totally work with her again! Our family went were away for a week and wanted to leave Max at a house so he’d have 1:1 care instead of boarding, We hadn’t met Karen previously but from the first minute we talked with her it was obvious she was a dog person and Max would be in great hands! Thanks Karen!!!”
“Elisheba and her family took Ember in and were very kind. Thank you for the hospitality and the great care at a last minute notice. Ember loved the yard and enjoyed having extra people to play with her, it takes a village!”

“Finley enjoyed her stay with Angel and her family! She was so exhausted yesterday when we brought her home, telling me she got some exercise and had lots of fun! Thank you for putting my mind at ease while we were away the whole week and sending pics!”

“Flexible with scheduling and responsive, both are dogs were well taken care of and weren't anxious when we picked them up or the next day (meaning they felt comfortable there). Definitely would recommend”

“Wow! Such a great experience. We have come to understand how good it is for Maizy to have these experiences. Not only do we have peace of mind that she is safe while we travel, but she continues to get more socialization with smaller children and dogs of different sizes. And the photos we received of her were an extra bonus. Highly recommend Ryan and Krystal!”

Cathy was awesome with Poppy! It was our first time leaving her for over a week and Cathy made us feel so comfortable. She would send updates and pictures every day and spoiled her with lots of playtime and snuggles. We will definitely use Cathy again in the future!

Tyler did an incredible job taking care of our cat, who has a rather challenging personality. He was incredibly caring, patient, and created a comfortable environment for our cat to thrive in. He kept us informed multiple times a day through messages and shared amazing photos and videos. We completely relied on him, and he exceeded our expectations. Now that we’re planning to leave the city again, we know exactly who to call to board our cat.

Madison and Adam are the best sitters ever! They send plenty of pictures and Minnie got plenty of walks. They were flexible when I had to drop her off and pick her up a little after the original scheduled time due to flights. Minnie came back, so happy and energized. She had a mini vacation herself! I definitely recommend them to anyone.

Megan and Alexandra are the BEST! I have reviewed them before but want to say again... first and foremost, our girls are safe, loved, spoiled and oh, so happy when they are with them. It puts this nervous Momma's mind and heart at ease. They are very flexible and communicative - and all around great people. We hope they will always want to take our girls!
Julie was wonderful as always! Murphy had the best time for the 2 weeks over the holidays with lots of videos, pictures, and updates. During the stay, Murphy had a senior moment but Julie took care of him no problem. She was also very flexible and communicative when my flight home was delayed 5 hours. Julie is dependable, experienced, and such a great pet companion. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
