“Dianna was awesome. She handled our new puppy with loving care for 1 week. She was constantly sending pictures and videos and had an awesome outdoor fenced in yard, I would highly recommend.”

“Such an amazing experience! Our dogs loved being there they got a spa day! And a nice hike in they were definitely worn out when they got home which I loved coming back from a trip! Drop off and pick up was very easy. We absolutely will book them again.”

“Ruth was incredible! She sent photos, videos and updates throughout our time away. We had great peace of mind knowing our dog was with someone so caring and made her feel comfortable.”

“Michael was very accommodating when Buddy and I came a day earlier than scheduled. He sent pictures and updates while I was gone and Buddy was very much enjoying his vacation. I had nothing to worry about. Thank you, Michael!”

“Metricia & her family for a joy to work with! Minnie loved her time & got plenty of walks, cuddles & treats! Metricia was very flexible when I had to drop her off one hour later and pick her up one hour later! I would totally book her again!”

“Amanda and Mike were wonderful with Luna! She was very well cared for, and they kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. Their backyard is spacious and perfect for dogs to run and play. It’s clear they have plenty of experience with dogs and know how to help them feel comfortable and adjust to a new environment. Luna came home happy and relaxed. We would definitely trust Amanda and Mike with her again and highly recommend them to other pet owners.”

“She is amazing and I can’t thank her enough . My pup is always well taken care of , she works with your schedule and is very knowledgeable. Grateful for finding her through Rover!”

“Emily was amazing. We just got our pup less than a week before a family vacation. She was very accommodating helping potty train him, and teaching him commands. She sent pictures/ vidoes and updates daily. I was worried our pup wouldn't want to come home he was so happy. He was having so much much fun and was able to run and play. He was freshly bathed when we picked him up. Emily even accommodated a early drop off. I was completely pleased with the experience and felt comfortable on our trip. Our pup was in the best hands. Would definitely use her again in the future. I'm sure our puppy would agree and be happy to visit again!”
“Cannil was great! Would definitely recommend him as a sitter. He was very responsive to messages and sent updates with pictures every day. I know Darla had the best time with him and will definitely ask him to watch Darla in the future.”

“I am very fortunate to have found Laura! Based on her "About" info and all the great reviews, I felt my dog would be well cared for. We had a great first meeting with Laura which solidified my decision to hire her. Drop off was easy because of our first meeting. She had excellent communication! She sent pictures, messages and responded promptly to any messages I initiated. When I picked up my dog, she(my dog)was happy to see me and my husband but not eager to leave. That’s a good sign to me that she felt safe and was happy there! I 100% recommend Laura and hope she's available next time I need her.”

“Jane was great Penny. We really appreciated her pictures and it looked like Penny really enjoyed her time with Jane. Would recommend and definitely will use her again!!”

“Kimberely was AMAZING with our energetic pup Mabel. She sent daily updates and videos. Mabel had a great time in her fenced in back yard. We’d love to use her again in the future!”

“Our dog Martin always enjoys himself when he is at Josephine's home. Josephine is very caring and has taken great care of Martin. She takes him to the dog park, which he loves and long walks. When he comes home after visiting Josephine’s house he is so wore out from all the fun that he had, that he has to rest. Josephine is informative, send pictures, and is so easy to communicate with. Josephine will be my first choice for a dog sitter going forward.”

“Our Shih Tzu Dumpling and newly adopted mini Aussie Penny just spent the week with Tammi. I was so nervous to be traveling so soon after getting Penny from the animal shelter. Tammi impressed us with her kindness and her experience with rescue dogs. She totally put my mind at ease and gave me lots of practical tips on helping Penny to adjust to her new life outside of a puppy mill. Tammi's home is beautiful, and her own dogs provided wonderful, therapeutic play for ours in a HUGE fenced yard. She also graciously accommodated our adding a night to our stay at the last minute. I will be contacting Tammi any time we need to travel. Thank you, Tammi, for all your help and kindness!”

Cathy was awesome with Poppy! It was our first time leaving her for over a week and Cathy made us feel so comfortable. She would send updates and pictures every day and spoiled her with lots of playtime and snuggles. We will definitely use Cathy again in the future!

I had an amazing experience with them both. We were in town from NC for a wedding so not as familiar with area but i’m so happy I found this wonderful couple ahead of time. They took such great care of my english bulldog and were incredibly kind and always so attentive. My dog was on medication and can be a bit stubborn about it, but they made sure she got everything she needed without any issues. They communicated so well the entire time. They sent me lots of pictures and videos, which really helped my anxiety while I was away. I never felt like I had to constantly check my phone during the wedding reception because I genuinely felt like my dog was in the best caring hands. You can tell they really love animals and take their job seriously. They asked all the right questions and were so understanding and just overall the kindest people. My dog looked so happy and relaxed with them. I would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, loving care for their pet.

Jennifer and her family took great care of our 14 year old husky shepherd. She was safe, well cared for and enjoyed the company and love from them. They communicated easily and sent pictures…our trip was amazing and we never worried for a minute! Thank you Jennifer!!!!

Megan and Alexandra are the BEST! I have reviewed them before but want to say again... first and foremost, our girls are safe, loved, spoiled and oh, so happy when they are with them. It puts this nervous Momma's mind and heart at ease. They are very flexible and communicative - and all around great people. We hope they will always want to take our girls!
Maddie was so great! I needed someone last minute and she was quick to respond and so nice. This was my first time using Rover and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I got regular pictures and updates, and though I was worried my dog would be anxious it was clear she was having a great time. I’ll definitely be booking with Maddie again!

Julie was wonderful as always! Murphy had the best time for the 2 weeks over the holidays with lots of videos, pictures, and updates. During the stay, Murphy had a senior moment but Julie took care of him no problem. She was also very flexible and communicative when my flight home was delayed 5 hours. Julie is dependable, experienced, and such a great pet companion. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
