“Jenny was absolutely wonderful! Our first time using rover and she made us feel so confident that Stella was in great hands during our time away. She sent regular updates and photos every day, it was clear Stella trusted her very much!”

“Matthew & Jill were kind, considerate and friendly not only with us; but with our two dogs Juneau and Barrow. When we leave our dogs with these nice people, they are anxious to run to the door seeking new adventures, smells and to say hello to their family. When we pick them up, they are clean, happy and well adjusted from being away from us. Matthew and Jill have always been flexible and considerate. These two conduct their business in the true fashion of what Rover began with in the first place. It's not a kennel or boarding facility; but they welcome our dogs into their home life.”

“Monte did a wonderful job keeping tabs on my pup! He was kind and welcoming with the introductions, as well as his furry companion. Definitely will be contacting Monte again in the future.”

“This was our first time using Rover for our two boys Toby and Charlie and Tammi was very helpful in helping us understand what to do. I like how Tammi is set up to watch watch our dogs and they seemed to like it too. We are already having her watch them again in a couple days. We aren’t big travelers anymore at our age but will make her our go-to for any time we need someone to watch and take good care with our pups.”

“Fantastic boarding experience! My dog has separation anxiety and loved it there. He had a ton of fun playing with the other dogs and running around the backyard.”

“Madison was the best when sitting our dog Luna! She was able to take her on very short notice which we greatly appreciated. Madison was super responsive and treated Luna so well. She gave Luna all the cuddles and gave us plenty of fun and cute photo updates. We travel a lot so Luna will definitely stay with Madison again!”

“**Review for Jamie:** Jamie was fantastic! She watched our dog Sarge for a full week and did an amazing job. She kept us updated the entire time with pictures and messages, which made us feel completely comfortable and at ease while we were away. Sarge clearly had a great time too. We’d happily book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter!”

“Michael is great to work with. He is extremely flexible with pick up/drop off. I have now taken my pup to Michael twice and each time he has given updates and sent pictures, which I really appreciate. I have a very high energy dog and he has come home tired and content both times. I cannot recommend booking with Michael enough!”

“Maddie was an incredible sitter. She was very knowledgable and provided pictures and updates throughout the day. There is a big backyard which was great for Chester to get some energy out. I would absolutely request to use her again!”

“Glad we met Johangely! Highly recommend. We were provided regular updates and photo's each day, including videos. It soon became clear our pet was in a safe and comfortable place. Regular walks, feeding, and playtime! Our minds were at ease knowing all was ok while we were away. Thank you!”

“This was the first time we used Rover, or any sitter for our Coco. We were nervous about leaving her, but Shauna showed she is definitely a PRO! She gave us frequent updates, pictures, and dealt with our recently rescued mutt wonderfully. We are so happy Coco had a great time in her huge backyard and had playmates too during her stay. We WILL be asking Shauna to watch Coco for us again when we go on our next trip!!”

“Amanda was amazing! She sent me so many pictures and updates while I was gone so I never had to stress how my girl was doing. Will definitely use her again in the future when needed!”

“Lisa took wonderful care of my 9 month coonhound for a week. She also gave me some tips on how to work with him. My husband is very pleased with this better behaved pup!”

“I needed a place to board my dog for a night while my husband and I went to a wedding. Our dog has been to standard daycare facilities but isn't fond of being left alone so we didn't like the idea of her staying in a kennel. Alison was really accommodating and assured us that our sweet girl would get plenty of attention and play time with her own dogs, which is perfect because our girl loves to make friends. We were afraid that she'd have trouble settling in because she's very attached to us, but we were put at ease when Alison sent a picture of our girl sleeping on a comfy couch. They also made sure she had her allergy meds and food. This is exactly the environment and attention our dog needs to be comfortable being away from us for a bit. Thank you so much for watching her!”

About: I am a stay-at-home mom so I am home most of the time. I can give your doggo all the attention they need. I've taken care of dogs really for as long as I can remember. I had a great dane as a teenager so big dogs are no problem. I am a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom so I am home a most of the time, never gone for long. I am available seven days a week. I have a large fenced in yard that doggies love! I only take one dog at a time or two "sibling" dogs so that everyone can get along and hang out together. I want dogs to feel welcome in my home. I have two cats that are very used to dogs. I have a very large dog kennel to keep your dog safe when I am out and about and at night.
“Josephine took echo and Forest very last minute and I couldn’t be more thankful. So professional, great with my dogs, and kept them busy. She even handled my grumpy, attitude ridden echo with such grace. My boys will definitely be coming back if she will have them :)”

“This was our first experience using Rover and I was really nervous. Rachelle did a great job at answering all my questions and quelling my nerves. She took excellent care of my fur babies, and communicated well. If we’re ever back in the Cincinnati area, I would definitely use her as a boarder for my dogs again.”

“We are very satisfied with the care that Cathy provided for our Duke. We would definitely like for Cathy to watch Duke in the future. It was great to know that he was being well cared for while we were away from him.. Seeing pictures of him feeling right at home with her was a reassuring sight. Thank you Cathy for the wonderful care that you gave to our Duke, Steve”

Jane was wonderful with our mini Goldendoodle. We did a meet and greet to make sure it was a good fit. He is elderly and on medications and she made us feel comfortable with meeting his needs. She sent a lot of updates. Our pup came home very happy! Would not hesitate to book with Jane again!

I was very impressed with Abbie’s ability to accommodate my Chihuahua Rafael’s needs in an unfamiliar situation. He’s nearly four-years old, and we are together 24/7, which has made him “clingy.” I call him “high maintenance” because he loves long walks, an hour or more twice a day, and I indulge him. Abbie’s backyard gave him plenty of room to run. I would highly recommend Abbie.

Just the absolute sweetest and wonderful pet sitter! My doggy was cared for and spoiled beyond belief! We would absolutely use Metrica again! She went above and beyond! Sent me tons up updates and pictures which Made everything so much more to see my boy looking so so happy! Thank you so much Metrica for the love and care you give all animals!

Amanda was great! Very communicative and flexible with timing for pickup and drop off. They were put in a tough spot with a large storm the night before our drop off, but were still willing to host our dog. She sent pictures and highlights each day, and welcomed him as one of their own. I definitely recommend, and will be looking to rebook next time we travel.

I had to find a sitter for my dog and cat at the last minute and PJ said she could take them! She was a life saver! She took such great care of my babies and even clipped my dogs nails! She went above and beyond to make my babies feel at home and loved! Thanks again, PJ! You are the best !

Our anxious doodle did wonderfully on a long stay with Ruth. She went above and beyond making sure our pup was comfortable and cared for, and was great on giving us updates. We also had the best transition back home we have ever had, so I know our pup truly felt at home with Ruth. Highly recommended, Ruth will be our first choice for future trips!

My dogs are very particular with people and usually take time to get used to new people, but when I tell you, they both immediately took to Dani and her Husband as if they have known them for years! I was so relieved that I could enjoy my week long vacation knowing they were more than happy to be with Dani. Definitely will have Dani sit again!
Destiny did a great job with my kitty Lia, though on the third day it took an unexpected turn (not destiny’s fault in the slightest) my kitty is very skiddish even when I got her and that causes Lia to get into a hard to reach area where it took days for her to come out, thanks to destiny’s dedication and patience my kitty came out the day I was supposed to pick her up. She was well fed and got to socialize with other kitties, and I also got an update every morning and evening which was very nice, thank you destiny for such an amazing job with Lia.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
