“We dropped our Leo, the Golden doodle for a 2 day try out with Matt and Jill, and had a very good experience. They took great care and provided us with updates and pictures regularly. We will be using them again.”

“Amanda and Ashton are Moses's favorite "other" family! He gets lots of love and playtime. Pick-up and drop-off are a breeze and communication is always great.”

“My pup had the best time with Kelti and Tanner! They were able to watch Ted last minute which was super helpful. They kept me update the whole time we were gone and my pup passed out the second we got home because he was so tired from playing all weekend! Would definitely ask them to watch my fur child again!”

“Thank you so much you’re my best person ever that I found on Rover most people are just one and done for me because I’m very particular about my dog so thank you for the pictures and videos! You’re the best!”

“I cannot express enough how grateful I am to Leann for taking such wonderful care of my dog, Abi, for an entire month. From the very beginning, Leann stepped in on extremely short notice, accepting our last-minute reservation without hesitation. This was such a relief for us, and from that moment on, Leann exceeded all our expectations. Throughout the entire month, Leann maintained constant communication with us, ensuring that we were always updated on Abi's well-being. She sent us frequent photos and videos, often more than once a day, allowing us to see how happy and comfortable Abi was under her care. It was clear from the start that Abi wasn’t just being taken care of; she was being genuinely loved and cherished. Leann didn’t just meet Abi’s basic needs; she went above and beyond to make sure Abi had plenty of exercise, playtime, and affection. Seeing Abi’s joyful expressions and playful moments in the photos and videos made us feel incredibly reassured, knowing she was in such good hands. Leann's commitment to Abi's happiness and her ability to create a warm, loving environment truly set her apart. Not only did Leann provide exceptional care, but she also brought a sense of peace and security to us during a time when we needed it most. Her professionalism, reliability, and genuine love for animals shone through in every interaction. We couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver for Abi, and we will absolutely be turning to Leann again in the future. Thank you, Leann, for everything you did for our family. You are truly a gem!”

“I would undoubtedly recommend Jenny to anyone looking for someone to care for their dog! Her communication was excellent both before and during the stay (she sent daily updates and pictures of Piper!) Piper was so well taken care of! She loved the walks Jenny took her on! I was nervous using Rover for the first time but now know I have someone reliable to care for Piper when we’re away!”

“Monte did a wonderful job keeping tabs on my pup! He was kind and welcoming with the introductions, as well as his furry companion. Definitely will be contacting Monte again in the future.”

“Karen was GREAT with our golden retriever Max and I would totally work with her again! Our family went were away for a week and wanted to leave Max at a house so he’d have 1:1 care instead of boarding, We hadn’t met Karen previously but from the first minute we talked with her it was obvious she was a dog person and Max would be in great hands! Thanks Karen!!!”

“Shauna is our go-to sitter, and our pup loves visiting! She’s trustworthy, great at communicating and sends us plenty of photo updates when we’re traveling. Highly recommended!”

“Madison was the best when sitting our dog Luna! She was able to take her on very short notice which we greatly appreciated. Madison was super responsive and treated Luna so well. She gave Luna all the cuddles and gave us plenty of fun and cute photo updates. We travel a lot so Luna will definitely stay with Madison again!”

“This is the 3rd time Deanna and her husband Gerald have watched our dog while we went out of town. As always, they took great care of Savannah and were very accommodating with her special needs due to a leg injury. It is obvious that they love dogs. We can't recommend them enough!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I dog sit for my aunt all of the time and I care for my sisters dogs often. She has a full bred German Shepherd and an Australian Shepherd Mix. I am very dependable and will take great care of your pet! I’m not working anywhere at the moment, I am a full time nursing student. I have classes two times a week ( Mondays and Wednesdays) and I have clinical once a week currently. I live in a condominium community; there isn’t a yard per say however there is plenty of space to walk your dog outside in the fresh air!
“I had an amazing experience with them both. We were in town from NC for a wedding so not as familiar with area but i’m so happy I found this wonderful couple ahead of time. They took such great care of my english bulldog and were incredibly kind and always so attentive. My dog was on medication and can be a bit stubborn about it, but they made sure she got everything she needed without any issues. They communicated so well the entire time. They sent me lots of pictures and videos, which really helped my anxiety while I was away. I never felt like I had to constantly check my phone during the wedding reception because I genuinely felt like my dog was in the best caring hands. You can tell they really love animals and take their job seriously. They asked all the right questions and were so understanding and just overall the kindest people. My dog looked so happy and relaxed with them. I would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, loving care for their pet.”

About: I am a stay-at-home mom so I am home most of the time. I can give your doggo all the attention they need. I've taken care of dogs really for as long as I can remember. I had a great dane as a teenager so big dogs are no problem. I am a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom so I am home a most of the time, never gone for long. I am available seven days a week. I have a large fenced in yard that doggies love! I only take one dog at a time or two "sibling" dogs so that everyone can get along and hang out together. I want dogs to feel welcome in my home. I have two cats that are very used to dogs. I have a very large dog kennel to keep your dog safe when I am out and about and at night.
“When our previously scheduled sitter no-showed, Lisa was kind enough to accept our dog on an emergency basis, hours before we were to fly out for a 3 week prepaid overseas trip. She kept us updated and sent photos every day, often showing our sweet puppy happily playing with other guest dogs in her fenced yard. Clearly Lisa loves dogs and has years of experience taking care of other people's pets. We won't hesitate to ask her to sit for us whenever the need arises.”

“I needed a place to board my dog for a night while my husband and I went to a wedding. Our dog has been to standard daycare facilities but isn't fond of being left alone so we didn't like the idea of her staying in a kennel. Alison was really accommodating and assured us that our sweet girl would get plenty of attention and play time with her own dogs, which is perfect because our girl loves to make friends. We were afraid that she'd have trouble settling in because she's very attached to us, but we were put at ease when Alison sent a picture of our girl sleeping on a comfy couch. They also made sure she had her allergy meds and food. This is exactly the environment and attention our dog needs to be comfortable being away from us for a bit. Thank you so much for watching her!”

I was very impressed with Abbie’s ability to accommodate my Chihuahua Rafael’s needs in an unfamiliar situation. He’s nearly four-years old, and we are together 24/7, which has made him “clingy.” I call him “high maintenance” because he loves long walks, an hour or more twice a day, and I indulge him. Abbie’s backyard gave him plenty of room to run. I would highly recommend Abbie.

Just the absolute sweetest and wonderful pet sitter! My doggy was cared for and spoiled beyond belief! We would absolutely use Metrica again! She went above and beyond! Sent me tons up updates and pictures which Made everything so much more to see my boy looking so so happy! Thank you so much Metrica for the love and care you give all animals!

Amanda was great! Very communicative and flexible with timing for pickup and drop off. They were put in a tough spot with a large storm the night before our drop off, but were still willing to host our dog. She sent pictures and highlights each day, and welcomed him as one of their own. I definitely recommend, and will be looking to rebook next time we travel.

I had to find a sitter for my dog and cat at the last minute and PJ said she could take them! She was a life saver! She took such great care of my babies and even clipped my dogs nails! She went above and beyond to make my babies feel at home and loved! Thanks again, PJ! You are the best !

Our anxious doodle did wonderfully on a long stay with Ruth. She went above and beyond making sure our pup was comfortable and cared for, and was great on giving us updates. We also had the best transition back home we have ever had, so I know our pup truly felt at home with Ruth. Highly recommended, Ruth will be our first choice for future trips!

My dogs are very particular with people and usually take time to get used to new people, but when I tell you, they both immediately took to Dani and her Husband as if they have known them for years! I was so relieved that I could enjoy my week long vacation knowing they were more than happy to be with Dani. Definitely will have Dani sit again!
Destiny did a great job with my kitty Lia, though on the third day it took an unexpected turn (not destiny’s fault in the slightest) my kitty is very skiddish even when I got her and that causes Lia to get into a hard to reach area where it took days for her to come out, thanks to destiny’s dedication and patience my kitty came out the day I was supposed to pick her up. She was well fed and got to socialize with other kitties, and I also got an update every morning and evening which was very nice, thank you destiny for such an amazing job with Lia.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
