“I was so worried about Simon but I came back from a 3week vacation and he was wonderful. I know this is because Alison took such good care of him. She was awesome. I would completely recommend her.”

“Our cat loves Taylor as much (or more haha) than he loves us. Seriously though, she takes such good care of him and it’s great peace of mind knowing he’s being well cared for while we’re gone.”

“Alex was very prompt to respond to my request for a last-minute booking, took good care of my dog, sent detailed updates, and asked questions as needed. Alex was very professional in all aspects of communicating and completing visits.”

“Corey is the best! He has been regularly dropping in on my two pups for a few weeks now and they absolutely love him. He is reliable, punctual, and just has a kind and calming presence. He knows and understands dogs well, and that experience shows. I would trust him with my pets any day!”

“Bethany took such great care of our large pit bull/lab mix. It was my first time using Rover so I was a little nervous, but I could tell right away that our dog was in very good hands. She was very responsive and sent tons of pictures, and we will definitely use her in the future!”

“Courtney was super great and put me at ease while away from my cats! She listened and followed all my instructions carefully and her communication was great. Highly recommend her!”

“Angel was extremely responsive when setting up the meet and greet and took amazing care of Mr Cat! She sent daily photos and updates and he looked happy and cared for!”

About: While I'm fairly new to pet-sitting, I am experienced with both dogs and cats. I became accustomed to caring for dogs when my family welcomed our poodle, Rosie, to our home back in 2020. Everything there is to know about caring for dogs, I am very familiar with! I have also done a handful of kitty check-ins for a friend over the past year, consisting of playtime and plenty of petting. I am so thrilled to get started on Rover! I currently work part-time in healthcare 4 days a week until 1:30pm, so I am available every afternoon, evening, and some mornings for pet care. This also applies to weekends as well! When walking dogs, I make sure to keep an eye out for our surroundings, whether that be nearby people, other dogs, or potentially harmful plants. While I do allow the dog I'm caring for to explore, I also know to keep a short leash when the situation warrants it. As for pet check-ins, I am very respectful of the home I'm being welcomed into. My number one priority is caring for your pet, so I am careful to clean up after them if any accidents happen.

“Saul was amazing! He took great care of my cat while I was out of town, providing plenty of updates and sticking to her routine. My cat autumn, was very happy when he came to check on her. I highly recommend him!”

“This was our second time with Johnnisha and she was amazing. One of our cats unexpectedly got sick right before we left and Johnnisha gave him his medication while we were away, which brought us great peace of mind 🤍”
“Tess was phenomenal with our cat Melina! Melina doesn't cuddle with just anyone, and in almost all the pictures Tess sent, Melina was on her lap making biscuits! Even during the meet and greet, Tess was so good with her and Melina felt very comfortable. Tess kept us updated regularly during our trip and was very easily accessible. She left us a very sweet note on the last day and even cleaned out Melina's food bowl. We will definitely be using her services again! We are thrilled to have found such an exceptional sitter!”

“I have had Megan persist my cat, Peaches whenever I am out of town since October 2024. She has been a wonderful sitter and I feel very comfortable leaving the care of my precious girl in her hands”

About: I’ve had a dog for 12 years, so I’m experienced when it comes to taking care of dogs! I have experience walking and pet sitting for my friend’s dogs as well. I love all types of dogs. I want them to have the most positive experience possible! I work full time, but I work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. I’m looking to walk dogs after the work day or on weekends. I can also pet sit and/or check in on pets on weekends/Mondays/Fridays. I would love to hangout with your pet(s) and give lots of cuddles. I enjoy being active, so would have no problem taking your pet(s) on long walks and playing with them.
“Allison always does a great job. Reliable and helpful. My cats came out to see her this time (extremely rare) & she sent photos of them which made me so happy. Thank you, Allison!”

About: I have dog sitted for close friends and work colleagues during graduate school. I am still new to dog sitting but I take direction very well and I am willing to learn new things and meet new people! I am currently a pharmacy resident and work mainly during the weekdays from 7am-5pm and work every other weekend starting this upcoming July. My availability for June is open during the afternoons and most early morning for weekdays and open on weekends! I make a point to follow instructions to a T, and if there are opportunities to go above and beyond, I will do so. If dog sitting, I make sure to give the utmost attention to your pet while also meeting your expectations. As for house sitting, I like to treat a home as if it were my own: tidy and organized.

About: I grew up with Weimaraners 🐾 — and thanks to some very patient parents, a few determined (and slightly sneaky 😉) cats 🐱 and other little critters 🐹 made their way into our family too. With nearly 35 years of devoted “cat mommying,” Princess 👑 — my Norwegian Forest cat — is my current fur baby and reigning queen of the house 🏡✨. My schedule is fully flexible 📅, which means your pets are never squeezed into a busy day — they’re the priority 🐾🤍. I maintain their routine in the comfort of their own home 🏡 so they feel secure, relaxed, and genuinely cared for 😌✨. I’m passionate about animals of all kinds 🐶🐱🐾 and committed to providing attentive, personalized care so your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved 🤍 — and have a whole lot of fun 🎾🦴✨ — while you’re away. With decades of hands-on experience, I understand everything from daily routines and medication to reading subtle feline moods like a pro. I don’t just “check in.” I provide intentional, tailored care designed around your pet’s unique personality and needs. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bellevue
Olivia has been an amazing cat sitter for Dora! We received her name from a coworker and couldn't be happier with how great she has been. She is highly communicative, attentive to Dora's needs, and made the whole process completely stress-free. We highly recommend her and absolutely hope to work with her again.

Carly was so reliable and responsive when we asked her to pop in on our cat Olive over Fourth of July weekend. She let Olive in/out at the designated times and always made sure she had fresh food and water (during a heatwave). Olive warmed right up to her and allowed her to give her some butt pats. Highly recommend Carly for any cat sitting needs, will definitely use her in the future!

Hannah did great watching my cat while we were gone on a long vacation. She was able to find my cat even in her hiding places, and always sent a picture and update. She was easy to communicate with for dropping off keys, etc. I would definitely recommend her for your pet!!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
