Availability
I'm a recent PhD grad from Cornell. I can easily commute with my car and so it is easy reach clients' residences around the Cincinnati area. Cat visits are ideal for me because I can stop by before and after work. Early mornings are best as well as after 6pm drop-in visits -- but I can be flexible if necessary! I’m still looking for a job, so midday walks are open for now!

Safety, trust & environment
I have indoor cats - so I know the importance of keeping doors closed, etc and keeping an eye on the little ones. I'm very good about feeding appropriate amounts at appropriate times as well as keeping the litter box clean and monitoring potty activity.
Information Kate B. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your cat or dog has any special needs. I’m most comfortable with small-medium dogs and gentle larger dogs. Knowing energy levels ahead of time is also important!
A typical day
For cats — depending on the mood we will either play with toys or just chill out with pets and cuddles. I usually let cats take the lead and won’t force them to play or sit still if they’re not in the mood. For dogs - I love long walks! I used to walk my dog about 20-30 miles a week in high school. I also love hikes and going to the park. If they’re still energized after, we can play with toys — and if not I’ll make sure they get some good scratches and positive affirmations.

Pet care experience
I grew up with cats my entire life and absolutely adore them. Currently I have two, five year old indoor cats with different personalities and needs. While they are both still relatively young and healthy - one is on a special urinary diet that I have to monitor, and another has minor FHS and general anxiety. I myself worry about my cats when I have to go out of town given their needs, so I completely understand the importance of following care instructions closely and monitoring cat's behavior and health. I also understand that all cats have different comfort levels and interests when it comes to playing and interacting with (new) people, and respect their privacy when they are getting to know me.
Reviews

Kate has become a regular cat sitter for me and she is always 10/10!

Kate continues to do a great job with my cat!

Kate is a wonderful petsitter! She goes the extra mile and sends a ton of videos and funny pictures of my cats playing and having fun with her. She’s taken care of my cats since they were kittens so my reviews are probably getting a bit repetitive at this point—she does such a great job 👏

Thoughtful, communicative, and accommodating when I made a scheduling error!
