“Beth is great with our girls. Her communication is always timely. She’s so sweet and loves our girls like they are her own. Lilly our rescue warmed up to her quickly which is always a great sign!”

About: I have been pet sitting since I was 16 years old. I am often asked by coworkers of family to house sit during their vacations. I have pet sat dogs, cats, fish, and even chickens! I am comfortable waking, giving medication, and cuddling (my personal favorite), whatever your pup needs! I have two dogs of my own. One of my dogs is a senior and is high need due to his bone cancer. He requires daily medication and will until we are able to remove the leg. My other pup is a rambunctious lab, who is high drive and needs daily stimulation so he doesn’t anger his older brother. I often take him on walks or use the pond near our home to tire him out! I am used to house sitting in all types of homes. If your pup needs a daily walk I am can do that. If they’re an outside pup we can take a walk or even a hike! I stay at the home and don’t leave often. I ask that a physical copy of directions are left so that I can give the 100% proper care and able to contact through phone as well!
“This was my first time using Rover, and I will absolutely be booking with Susan again! She gave thorough updates, and took such great care of our cat. Prim likes to hide, and Susan made it a point to search high and low until she found her so that she could send me picture updates and give her lots of love and affection. Susan also left us a card congratulating us on our wedding, which was the sweetest personal touch. I will absolutely recommend her to anyone!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for over four years now, pups of all ages!! I’ve been trained to give medication, I’ve been trained to work with animals that have special needs, anything your animal may need I can do! I can do drop bys during the day, stay over night, or even just a simple walk, whatever you may need. My schedule is very flexible and open! Depending on what you need, I can do it! Just know your pet is in good hands and will always be safe in my care.
“I was so worried about Simon but I came back from a 3week vacation and he was wonderful. I know this is because Alison took such good care of him. She was awesome. I would completely recommend her.”

About: I'm a lifelong dog lover with two of my own a 6-year-old Golden Retriever and a 2-year-old Lab/Aussie mix. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have years of experience dog sitting. I treat every dog like family and am comfortable with all breeds and energy levels. Whether your pup needs playtime, cuddles, or just someone to keep them company, I’m here to help! I'm a graduate student at Xavier University with a flexible schedule. I’m available for walks or check-ins throughout the day and can also stop by in the evenings after class. With my experience and having dogs of my own I am able to ensure dog safety and that their needs are met. I will also treat your dogs as if they are my own.
“Corey is the best! He has been regularly dropping in on my two pups for a few weeks now and they absolutely love him. He is reliable, punctual, and just has a kind and calming presence. He knows and understands dogs well, and that experience shows. I would trust him with my pets any day!”

“Abigail was great with our two cats! She gave us peace of mind while traveling and was even able to give our older cat her subcutaneous fluids while we were gone! She let us know how each visit went and sent pictures.”

“Angel was extremely responsive when setting up the meet and greet and took amazing care of Mr Cat! She sent daily photos and updates and he looked happy and cared for!”

About: I am new to the area! I have had an extensive foster care history over the past 3 years prior to relocating. I adore all fur babies but have the most experience with elder and special needs pups. I love animals, big and small. I have my own sweetheart pup and live with two cat friends (plus a lizard). I work as a nurse. Medication administration is no problem at all if needed as well. Please help cure my foster withdrawal and let me be there for your furry family members! I currently am taking a break from full time nursing to focus on enjoying life more. With advance notice, I can be available most days/times. Don’t let that discourage same day requests though! I take the time to learn pet needs and enjoy getting to know their personalities. The approach I use for each animal is based on what they respond best to. I encourage families to share likes and dislikes of their animal friends to promote a low stress environment as they get to know me. I can administer medication, take them for car rides or walks if desired. Companionship in any form is something I look forward to providing them!!
“Ginger went above and beyond! I just wanted someone to feed Harvey and give him his insulin but she actually cared and played with him! Made me feel better about being gone. Also the Rover Cards I got were some of the cutest pics of him ever!”

About: I’ve had an obvious and innate love of all types of critters ever since I’ve had both feet on the floor. No matter their personality, furry (or scaley!) friends always brings a smile to my face. My first pets were fish, gerbils, guinea pigs and geckos in my lower/middle/high school years and these days I spend all my free time with my 6 year-old tabby, Sock. I grew up around dogs and I’d be delighted to make the acquaintance of yours. I pride myself on being able to respond quickly to the needs, requests and personalities of both you and your pet! After a busy spring, my availability has widened considerably for the summer allowing me to prioritize one of my favorite interests: caring for animals! While new to the rover platform, I am excited to grow my returning clientele with more scheduling opportunities! My home is the protected territory of my cat, Sock, so I don’t offer playdates in my home. However, I’d be delighted to look after you and your pet’s territory! I’ll make sure they don’t get into anything for-humans-only and ensure that the space you share is just the way you left it.
“Needed a sitter last second and tried Rover for the first time. I’m so glad I picked Mattie! She was super responsive and really was great! And our dog literally loved her during a quick pre-visit and she’s usually wary of new people. I can’t thank Mattie enough!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
