“Yue Yue (Sammy) has done a wonderful job caring for our two cats, Fitzgerald and Hemingway. She is very communicative, writes thorough notes of her visits, and takes several adorable photos of meal and play time. Our cats appear to feel safe and comfortable with her (and they can be picky!) It is great to have peace of mind that they are being well cared for when we cannot be there. :)”

“Maria was a lifesaver! She stepped in to care for my cat, Asha, after the original sitter canceled last minute. She gave Asha plenty of attention, played with her, and even went the extra mile by cleaning the sink and litter box areas. I really appreciated her reliability and care. I highly recommend Maria and would absolutely book her again!”

“Charles did a great job with my cat Mazie! He was communicative via text and updated me with photos of Mazie each day. She was feeling particularly shy and didn't come out of hiding much, but Charles made sure she had company.”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs. I had two Pomeranians growing up, and to this day, I have a soft spot for them—I love the little cute floofballs! Currently, I volunteer weekly at the SF SPCA on Fridays as a cat volunteer. I’m especially comfortable with shy or senior pets who need a calm, patient presence. I take pride in keeping litter boxes and feeding areas spotless, and I always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and well-cared for. My link offers pet parents $20 off their first booking with Rover. https://www.rover.com/sit/chelsa81552 I work part-time and volunteer at the SF SPCA. My schedule fluctuates often, but I hope that over time, I will have a set work schedule. Please message me about booking times, and we can work out a schedule that best suits both of us. I create a calm, clean, and safe environment by strictly following your pet’s routine and care instructions. I respect your home and prioritize your pet’s comfort and well-being at all times.

“Jessica was fantastic! We arranged for her to do some 1 hour drop in visits. She was very responsive and easy to coordinate with. She came by around a week before the first session to meet our cat and go through everything that needed to be done. She was very friendly, asked great questions, understood quickly what needed to be done, and was very respectful of the rules of our place. Our kitten also warmed up to her quite quickly over her visits, which was great. She provided a nice detailed report from each of her visits as well as some nice pictures, and everything went really well. I would highly recommend Jessica and we'd go with her again!”

“Excellent communication and easy to work with. Gaby took very good care of our cat while we were out of town on a holiday weekend. Will definitely book again. Thank you!”

“Sarine has been so incredible and trustworthy. My pup and I are moving out of SF and will definitely miss her, she has been the best dog walker we’ve had. Thank you, Sarine!”

“Courtney did an incredible job caring for my cat while I was on vacation for a week. Courtney was an amazing communicator--she sent lots of photos each visit and I could tell my cat took to her immediately. When I came home from my trip, my cat was calm and happy since Courtney took such great care of her and gave her lots of pets and attention when she'd come to feed her. I can't recommend Courtney enough, thank you again!”

“Elric is very professional. Though we only booked 4 visits during 10 days, he came at least 6 times to take care of the pet and appliances at our home. He even did some vaccum to keep the house clean. Overall, I will give him 6 out of 5.”

About: I grew up with my parents dog; I got a corgi in early 2020 and have been spending a lot of time with him. My working hours are flexible and am willing to take care of your loved ones. It will be great to let my corgi make some friends as well. Happy to support in any ways and I’m flexible to accommodate what you need. I live very close to Embarcadero and I usually walk my dog by the water day and night. Thank you for reading these messages! I work from home twice a week. Weekends are pretty flexible. We are close to many dog parks so I walk dogs pretty easily every 2-4 hours I have a corgi so I’ll make sure the pet I’m sitting gets the same attention! The neighborhood is very safe and clean. We have a two bedroom so plenty of spaces.

About: Animals will always have my heart - I just adore them and will take care of your fur baby as if she/he were my own. I've had pets my entire life (all kinds) and love animals just as much as people (if not more haha). I'm an Animal Rights Activist, vegan since 2016, and do Energy Healing for animals and people. I work with all different types of animals who have physical aches/pain, diseases, illnesses, chronic conditions/symptoms, PTSD, depression, stress, separation anxiety, etc. So if your fur baby needs extra care, love, attention or help, I'm accustomed to it. Restoring animals'/people's health is what I do for a living, but my calendar is flexible. So I would love to spend more time with dogs and cats because I don't have one of my own. My son (bunny named "Peanut") doesn't want any siblings - so I have to put adopting and rescuing a dog/cat on the back burner. I started my own Energy Healing business in 2019 and can set my own schedule. My building is near the Bay Bridge so I can easily take care of fur babies in the East Cut and SOMA neighborhoods. I would be more than happy to meet up with you to get to know each other and your fur baby😊 I'm super clean, tidy and respectful of everyone's home. If I pet sit, I just need to know the daily routine and where everything is: food, treats, toys, water bowls, litter box, cleaning supplies, etc. We could address the following (at minimum): 1.) Any questions you may have 2.) Caring for your fur baby, especially if there are special instructions, anything out of the ordinary, food that needs to be cooked, favorite toys/games, treats, dislikes, things to avoid or look out for, etc. 3.) Health and behavioral issues, allergies, physical limitations/challenges/disabilities, PTSD, medicine, routines, patterns, a history of anything I should know about, etc. 4.) Does your fur baby have any particular fears, phobias, or reservations about anything? 5.) What is their normal routine? So that I stick to it, and also tell if something is off/wrong. 6.) If you'd like me to clean up after your fur baby a little, we can discuss sweeping or vacuuming up litter, crumbs, fur, picking up toys, etc). 7.) I always send a lot of photos/videos and updates (during or after visits) - If you want to receive less (or more), let me know. 8.) If you need me to adjust/move any video cams, just text/call me - Or if you want me to FaceTime with you/your fur baby :) 9.) Home entrance instructions 10.) Do you want people to take off their shoes inside? I usually take them off (and leave umbrellas outside if it's raining). 11.) Turning on/off lights, the heater, AC, closing window shades, etc. I’m open to discussing anything related to taking care of your pet! Just treat me like family or a friend and say whatever is on your mind😄

“Elaine checked in on our cat when the fire alarm went off in our building. We were really worried, but luckily she was able to check that it was a false alarm and that our cat was alright!”

About: I have a 5-yr old mini poodle. I took care of him since he was 8 weeks. Before 8 weeks, we visited him three times to let him know us better. We did a lot of socialization practice for my little sensitive boy. He's not perfect but most time he's calm and chill. He's fully potty trained and no accidents indoor since grow up. I watched so many dog training videos in Englist and Chinese. I am definitely a positive training supporter. I don't have a work currently. I am open on weekdays, morning or afternoon. I can consider evening case by case. I am pretty flexible. I ensure the home is dog safe. Make sure trash bin are not approachable. No poison plants that are reachable by dogs. If dogs are crate trained, I also understand how it works.

Your dog isn’t just getting care – they’re getting a mini vacation with their new BFF. Pet care is my daily routine. 🐾 I work from home and have a super flexible schedule, so I’m always around for walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of snuggles. Living in SF’s dog paradise with 14 parks within 2 blocks, pups get outdoor adventures anytime they want. Whether it’s early morning strolls or midday cuddle breaks, dogs come first in my day. Chelsea A.

“Chelsea and I met as members of a taiko group in San Mateo and discovered we are both active volunteers at our respective churches that happen to be located across the street from each other in San Francisco. As a result of these common interests, I've had frequent conversations and interactions with Chelsea over the last 3 years. Chelsea is a very conscientious, thoughtful, and hardworking person. She has taken on many activities at her church; she is always ready to step up and do what's needed. When she makes a commitment, you can depend on her to fulfill it. In addition, she has an upbeat personality and ready smile. If my church were hiring, I'd snatch her up in an instant. Chelsea has a deep love of animals. Until her volunteer work at the San Francisco Humane Society, she had experience only with dogs, which she loved. Nor she finds that she adores cats just as passionately. Her voice lights up when she talks of her time socializing the cats on her volunteer days. I think Chelsea would absolutely be a responsible and loving pet caregiver.”

Zhoujue W.

“I highly recommend Zhoujue! She was a great cat sitter - very caring, attentive, responsible, and responsive. Our shy kitty loved her. We'll be rebooking for sure”

Qianhui is responsible, attentive, and always makes sure pets are safe, happy, and well cared for. She takes the time to play with them, keep them on their routines, and give them plenty of love and attention. Any pet parent would be lucky to have her looking after their furry family members.”

“Yusan is great with dogs. I've been relying on her for more than two years to babysit my golden retriever when I'm in all-day meetings or traveling. She always takes great care of him, and she's very punctual and attentive to details.”

Deanna T.
“I can’t recommend Deanna highly enough —she’s wonderful with pets and an absolute pleasure to work with. Other than my own parents, she’s the only person I trusted to take care of my aging English bulldog, who required a lot of extra patience and attention. Her experience doing energy healing with animals, specifically those with chronic conditions/diseases that vets can’t do anything else to treat, is truly priceless. Deanna offers an extra level of care that I haven’t found anywhere else. She’s warm, professional, and will treat your fur baby with the love and attention they deserve. 10/10”

Elaine C.

Shu L.
“Shu is simply wonderful with dogs! As the loving owner of a mini poodle, she already has tons of hands-on experience. Add to that the countless times she's cared for her friends' dogs of various breeds. Shu is responsible, kind, and genuinely enjoys spending time with dogs. She's patient and attentive, making sure every pup is well taken care of and safe. I recommend her without reservation – your dog will be in great hands!”

Doribel M.
“What superlatives can't I use when describing Doribel's empathetic character, strong work ethic, and compassion with animals of all breeds. I have known her over a decade now since I first moved to San Francisco and not only can I call her an outstanding friend but she has been such a pinnacle part of my pets. Whether it was just meeting up with us to hang out or taking care of them while I was away, she was always just a phone call away. It is with a heavy heart to say that her own beloved Chips is no longer with us but his memory and love of him will never falter. You and your pet would be missing out by skipping over her. Do your household a favor and bring your pet into her life. You won't regret it.”

Financial District pet parents share their Rover experiences
Cailan was awesome! We were so lucky to have her taking care of our kitties while we were away, including one that needed medication. She was reliable and thorough and communicated well about anything that came up. We'll definitely book with her again if we need kitty coverage.

Jinju and Hyungsuk were the absolute best. You could tell they were cat people and they knew how to play and interact with our Royce by how much he warmed up to them. We were so impressed by the level of detail and care they put into each visit. They also communicated extremely well! Would recommend them to anyone and they’ll be our first choice in a Rover next time we’re out of town. Thank you so much!

Petra took great care of our cat while we were away for a few days! She did a great job making sure our cat got her meds, and also gave her plenty of treats and pets. :) Petra was communicative and sent plenty of pics and videos during her visits. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for pet care, and will certainly reach out to her again in the future.
