“Mavis & Molly had such a great time with Savannah, it was hard to get them to leave. Not only did they have plenty of room to play, but Savannah also spent time on teaching them manners. I will certainly reach out to Rover/Savannah for our next trip.”

“Karrla took the best care of my Teddy. She sent me daily updates and videos. She cares for him as if he were her own and it brings me peace knowing he is cared for when we are away. Thank you!!”

“Meagen was great for our dog, Molly! She communicated very well. Took her on walks. Kept us updated throughout the stay. From past experiences with others, we were concerned as Molly has come back sick or skittish from others. This was not the case with Meagen. Molly was of course ready to come home, but we could tell she did very well”

“Wow!!! First time to try Rover, and Happy Goodman’s stay with Kay was the best experience we’ve ever had on vacation. Daily photos/updates were so very appreciated and helped us relax and quit our usual worrying about how he was doing. He was happy when we picked him up, and even went back to tell Kay goodbye before loading into the car — so sweet! He was very well cared-for, and it was obvious he had a wonderful time.”

“Fantastic! Cooper out golden retriever had a very nice stay, which put my mind at ease while we were on our trip. He now has a new friend named Toby , Emily’s golden.”

“Everything was seamless, from meet and greet to pickup and drop off, Bianca made me feel secure with leaving my dog in her care. Constant communication with texts and pictures was just what I needed to reassure myself he was in great hands. As someone who normally takes their dog everywhere or has family watching him, I was totally confident I made the right choice with Bianca. I would definitely recommend and rebook with her any time.”

“What a wonderful experience for our first Rover stay! Jen was quick to reply to my message(s) and very accommodating with scheduling. During the stay I got lots of photos and videos of my Coco and their pup playing and hanging out together. Drop off and pick up was super easy and during that time I met most of the family. They are so lovely and have a beautiful home.”

“Kindell was amazing. We were out of state for two weeks and she cared for our boy as if he were her own. He went on field trips with his new friends and Kindell sent us pictures to keep us updated on how our boy was doing. We'll definitely be rebooking in the future.”

“This is our second time hiring Morgan to dog sit our Yorkie, Max, and he loved it just as much as the first time! Morgan shared daily updates and photos of Max enjoying his time relaxing with them. I will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“Lindsay and her husband took great care of Liam. Liam had an issue while in their care and she took him to our vet and got him taken care of and treated him like their own until we picked him up. Was really happy with them!”

“It was our 1st time leaving our fur baby overnight & we are so glad it was with Ashlee! She gave him her undivided attention all weekend & sent us several updates. He came home exhausted but happy from his weekend of playtime!”

“Jessica was very responsive to our requests and the needs of our pup, Daisy. Her regular updates and pictures, even over the Thanksgiving holiday, were thoughtful and helpful. We’d gladly have her take care of our dog again.”

“Elsy was amazing! I booked her last minute and she was more than happy to accommodate my Junebug. She kept me updated on how my puppy was doing and sent lots of pics and cute videos! This was perfect because I always get separation anxiety from my Junebug. I definitely recommend Elsy to anyone with a fur baby! They will be well taken care of and have lots of fun play time! I will most absolutely be booking Elsy for future stays. Thank you, Elsy!”

“We had a random, last minute situation while traveling from Nebraska, and Max was extremely flexible and accommodating getting us situated ASAP. After meeting him, I was extremely confident leaving our dog with him for two nights. He responded to messages fast and gave good updates. Our pup is happy and we can tell she had a great time. We are so grateful to him and we will use him again when we are back!”

“Tre was amazing! Our dog was a little timid at first since she’s with us alll the time and has some anxiety, but she took no time to warm up to Tre and the other dogs there. Even got a cute little Christmas scar to take home! Will be using Tre again!”

“Amanda was amazing! She was very accommodating and made my puppies feel comfortable and like they were at home. They didn’t seem to miss us which is a win in my book.”

“Can not say enough wonderful things about Tracy and her family! She made me and Benny feel comfortable from the very beginning. She was kind and loving to Benny! Updated me with pictures and even recommended a new toy that he loved at her house! There was no doubt in my mind that she is a dog person and took the very best care of my little fur baby! Thanks, Tracy! You are the best!”

Liliann was such a gem! It was my first time leaving Otto with a stranger and I was so worried but I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! She put me at ease by asking about Otto’s likes/dislikes, made him feel at home, and sent me daily updates and pictures about his day! I will absolutely use her again and my pup was such a happy camper.

Couldn’t recommend more!!!!!! Miranda and Joey took care of both of our dogs for almost 3 weeks and kept them as safe and happy as can be! So many updates and photos to let us see what our doggos were up to and such amazing communication throughout the whole process. Our dogs had a blast and we were so relieved to know we could trust they were well taken care of!

Pamela was absolutely wonderful. She kept us updated throughout the stay by sending pictures and videos, which gave us great peace of mind and let us see how much fun our dog was having. It was clear from every update that our dog was happy, comfortable, and receiving plenty of attention and care.

Kenzie and Hugo are absolute angels and went above and beyond in every way. This was my first time leaving my pup with someone other than family, and not only did they both do everything in their power to make sure he was comfortable, but they also made me extremely comfortable. They communicate LOTS, which is huge for me, and I really felt like he had a great time. They were also extremely accommodating given my situation. I would 10/10 recommend to anyone! Great people and a great service :)

Cate was so wonderful with Shadow. We were nervous to leave him because we rarely have him with a sitter (he’s 10 years old). Cate took amazing care of him and we weren’t worried about him at all. We appreciated her watching him over Halloween, and Shadow had a great time! I’d absolutely recommend Cate to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
