“Katelyn was awesome! She took excellent care of my two dogs and my home. She sent photos and video of my pups multiple times a day, kept me informed, and even dealt with arriving packages, watering my plants, and other various tasks. Upon returning home, I found happy, healthy dogs and my house spotless and clean. I would most definitely book Katelyn again in the future!”

“Tess has been doing a great job walking my dogs regularly the last few weeks, so I knew I could trust her with my babies while I was out of town for a week. I will be using her again.”

“Wow!! I wish I could give her more stars!!! Clare was absolutely amazing!! She took great care of our dogs, and we trusted her to be unattended in our house. Our dogs grew to love her, and trust her (which is huge for our dogs with trust issues.) Can not recommend her enough!! We will definitely use her again!! :)”

About: I grew up with cats, but all my friends have dogs so I know how to to handle a lot of different dog breeds. I also dog sit for my neighbor. I am still in school, but I have the weekends available and after 4 on week days. I am able to be flexible in my schedule. I can check up on the animals, walk them, play with them, feed them, dispose of their waste, and I will consider any other needs.
“Lauren was the sweetest and made our pups feel like they had family keeping them. We never worried because of her check-ins and she was wonderful with our 1 year old Shihtzu and our 11 year old lab/collie mix. We loved the photos and she made sure our dogs were so well taken care of. We would happily use her again!”

“Mimi was absolutely wonderful!!! She was so nice and accommodating! She’s was great with Pickle and even helped her feel better when her tummy acted up. I hope to use Mimi as a sitter moving forward!”

“Madelynn is absolutely fantastic. She is responsive, attentive, and a great communicator. I really appreciated her proactively checking-in and sharing photos of my dog throughout the day. It really put me at ease and allowed me to enjoy my vacation knowing my dog was so well taken care of. I am pretty sure she is my dog’s new BFF! I will definitely be booking her again and would highly recommend to anyone who needs a Rover.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fayetteville
Cynthia was wonderful. She kept in touch with us with pictures almost every half hour to an hour. She was very flexible in her schedule time and understood about the events happen to be moved that the military did we enjoyed her company as did the dogs we highly recommend her and are planning to use her again

We had a wonderful experience with Sakara! She took great care of our dogs and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She kept us updated with photos and messages, and it was obvious our pups were very happy being with her. We came home to relaxed, well cared for dogs, which says everything. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter! Thank you so much!

Emily did a fantastic job!! We don’t travel much and were very nervous about leaving our 3 dogs. Emily made us feel very comfortable beforehand and she did not disappoint!!! We have an older dog who requires meds, a stubborn dog with a mind of her own and a grumpy little man. They ALL loved her! I would 10/10 recommend Emily for all your dog sitting needs!

This was my first time using Rover and I am SO GLAD I found Tess. She was incredibly prompt when we were booking and was very professional. When she watched my pets, without fail, she sent me daily photos and was very transparent about problems that arose while I was gone. She made me feel very confident that my pets were being watched and cared for! Two of my pets take daily meds and she was meticulous about their routine and sending me photos of that as well. I highly recommend her!

Anna was amazing! As a first time user of Rover, she was so helpful with the process and very professional. Our doggo is a Covid puppy so he has many quirks which she handled with grace. She kept us updated while on vacation and even left the house pristine when we came back. 10/10. .

Keira was great with my 3 pups, giving special care and attention to my older dog who requires special feeding and meds; she was very clean and respectful of the property and followed all my instructions. It’s nice to have your pets in good hands while traveling! I highly recommend Keira and will be requesting her services again!

Tyler was absolutely wonderful with our dogs and cat He was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. It was clear he genuinely cared about them and took great care of their needs. We really appreciated the updates and the peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. We came home to happy, well-cared-for animals and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We would happily book with Tyler again in the future and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter! 🐾❤️

Shannon did an exceptional job taking care/of and nurturing my two cats for 10 days. One of my cats is diabetic, and the other, once feral kitty, needs encouragement to stay visible instead of hiding and wants to eat in private. Shannon figured out ways to meet the needs of both and stayed in touch constantly. I really was relieved to have her spending nights with drop in visits during the day! I highly recommend her! (Lots of daily photo updates!)

Emma did a great job looking after my two pups! She was on time, provided great care to Milo & Cooper, and provided us with updated throughout the day! She even made sure the house was even cleaner than she found it. We will definitely be using Emma again and recommend you reach out to her the next time you need a dog/house sitter!

We had a fantastic experience with Lizbeth from start to finish. She stayed overnight in our home for a little over a week and took excellent care of Bella. Lizbeth was incredibly trustworthy, communicative, and clearly attentive to Bella’s needs the entire time. When we returned, the house was spotless, and everything was just as we left it. She was very responsive throughout the stay, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We would absolutely recommend Lizbeth to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dogsitter.

Shelby did a great job taking care of my “boys”! Although I gave her the option of not walking them for simplicity, she recognized their need to maintain some routine and exercise. She kept them happy and content. I would highly recommend her. (she also brought in some heavy packages that were prematurely delivered)

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Fayetteville on Rover is $39.7 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 549 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Fayetteville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Fayetteville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Fayetteville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fayetteville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fayetteville. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
