“Daphne took great care of Tilly during her stay! I received plenty of pictures and updates, and Tilly had such a good time that she didn’t want to come home! I would definitely book with Daphne again.”

“Brooke was great! She watched one of my dogs last minute when I was in a pinch and was even flexible when I had to extend my stay another day. Rocket got along great with her other dog and Brooke sent photo updates frequently that gave me peace of mind. Will book with her again!”

“Tre was amazing! Our dog was a little timid at first since she’s with us alll the time and has some anxiety, but she took no time to warm up to Tre and the other dogs there. Even got a cute little Christmas scar to take home! Will be using Tre again!”

“This was Rosie's second time and she ran to their door, wagging her tail, eager to play. Courtney was very flexible with us as we booked very last minute! Rosie's made friends with their dogs and always come home happy and ready for a long nap!”

“Rebecca was wonderful with Peanut and sent me lots of sweet videos and pictures while we were away. She was very attentive and wanted to learn everything should could about Peanut so she would have an enjoyable stay :) she was very thoughtful in setting up a play date with her sweet Briar prior to booking to make sure they got along well and so Peanut would remember the house when we came back to stay.”

“Her and her family treated our dog as their own. He is a small Shih Tzu and was allowed to sleep with them at night which is his favorite. When I got him after a week with staying with her he was clean and happy. She sent me pictures almost every day. Definitely would recommend her. She even washed my dog’s kennel towel on pick up.”
“She did a great job keeping me updated on my dog throughout the stay. Seems like my dog had a great time with her. Just very grateful she accepted the opportunity on such short notice.”

“I can't say enough great things about my experience with Lindsay caring for my two dogs. She was incredibly attentive to their needs, ensuring they felt safe, comfortable, and well-loved. Her dedication and genuine care gave me complete peace of mind. I highly recommend Lindsay to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate caregiver for their pets!”

“Our Duke had a great time at Brittney’s house. She sent me pictures how he was playing with her dog until they were exhausted! 😄 However, it was only for one night but I would recommend her. She loves what she does! 🐾”

“Her and her family were amazing with our dog! We had a last minute need to watch him while we were out of town 10 hours away. I was able to coordinate with her on picking him up at another sitters house and she kept him overnight for us. It was such a relief knowing he was in good hands and provided the pickup service. All of the pictures showed him so happy and being loved on so much. She will definitely be our go to sitter from here on out. ☺️”

“Shayna was like sending our little furry girl to summer camp! She clearly loved hanging out with her and was pampered and loved on all during her visit! She sent us pictures and updates every day and our baby always looked like she was happy and having fun! Shayna is awesome! We highly recommend!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
