“Meagen took care of our dog like it was her own. She was very spoiled the short time she stayed with Meagen. Meagan was very attentive to our dog and kept us updated the entire time.”

“Emily did a great job in taking care of my boys. She sent me regular updates of what they are doing and shared their picture’s. We had some conditions to keep them in crate and she managed to do as said . I am super happy by the way she took care of them .”

“Karrla overflows with love and care for all her furry boarders. They are welcome on the couch and bed to cuddle with her. She accommodates feeding needs and makes adjustments to help dogs feel comfortable away from their families. Karrla sent me daily comments and a variety of pictures of my dog Buddy. I saw that he was eating, playing outside, interacting or resting with the other dogs. I appreciate her conscientious care of Buddy and will definitely use Karrla again for boarding.”

“Wow!!! First time to try Rover, and Happy Goodman’s stay with Kay was the best experience we’ve ever had on vacation. Daily photos/updates were so very appreciated and helped us relax and quit our usual worrying about how he was doing. He was happy when we picked him up, and even went back to tell Kay goodbye before loading into the car — so sweet! He was very well cared-for, and it was obvious he had a wonderful time.”

“Erin was great with my girls! She sent photos and texts on a regular basis to reassure us that they were doing well, especially my nervous older dog. My puppy loved playing with her boys! She was awesome and I would definitely use her again and confidently recommend her to my friends.”

“Ashlee was fantastic. She watched our dogs over memorial day weekend. She was attentive, asked questions about their care, and was open to any concerns/questions I had. She sent me pictures all weekend and updated me on how they were doing!! And she was very flexible when our flight got delayed to come pick them up. Our pups were happy and clean when we picked them up! I highly recommend Ashlee!!!!”

“She is a dog lover and kept me updated on how my yorkie was during the week. Including pictures. This made things easier for me since it was our first time using Rover. Would recommend.”

“Max was amazing. We dropped off our 3 month old puppy, Huevito, and were pretty anxious since he’s still so young and on a strict routine. Max immediately put us at ease by sending videos of Huevito and his own pup wrestling and playing in the yard. He followed Huevito’s schedule exactly as we’d laid it out, which was such a relief. It was clear Huevito had a great time - not just playing, but also learning how to be a good dog under Max’s care. He even helped desensitize Huevito to blow dryers so he won’t be scared at the groomer, and he kept up with his kennel training too. When we picked him up, he was freshly bathed with his nails clipped. Now that he’s back home with us, we can tell that he’s happy, tired, and clearly had a good time with Max.”

“She seems to be a very sweet person and took wonderful care of my fur babies and made them feel right at home. This was my first time using Rover and leaving my dogs with someone and it was nice that she kept me updated and made me feel like my dogs were in good hands.”

“Rebecca took great care of my boy. Her daily updates were thorough. You can tell she genuinely cares about each of the dogs she sits. I know she went above a beyond to make him feel special and loved. She’s probably one of the best Rovers I’ve ever had! I would trust her with any of your fur babies.”

“What a wonderful experience for our first Rover stay! Jen was quick to reply to my message(s) and very accommodating with scheduling. During the stay I got lots of photos and videos of my Coco and their pup playing and hanging out together. Drop off and pick up was super easy and during that time I met most of the family. They are so lovely and have a beautiful home.”

“Emily was so wonderful with our Apollo. So thankful for the pictures and updates. We could tell Apollo loved being with her. She was very quick to communicate and respond. Gracious with our travels being a little behind schedule. My son thanks you for your service while he is servicing our country with the US Army. We will prefer Emily every time with our Apollo.”

Luna and Chuck had a great time with Kellie and her furry friends! She sent me pictures of them having fun everyday, sent updates of how things were going, and even worked with my puppy to stop his bad habit of jumping on people. I could tell she was attentive to their needs and their individual quirks. She has a true passion for animals, that’s clear! I will definitely bring my pups back to her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
