“Leah was great with Buddy and Papa Bear and brought some treats for them and was very gentle with the boys. I know they can’t wait for future walks with her!! 🐾”

“Lucinda has been a wonderful addition into our pups life! This is our first time using Rover so we were a little uneasy, but Lucinda made it extremely easy to entrust a stranger with our Oreo girl. She came over for a meet and greet and is wonderful with our pup. She provided the walks in the time frame we requested and provided detailed updates with lots of pictures. We definitely feel comfortable with her taking care of our pup and highly recommend her! Thank you Lucinda!!”

“Travis is off to a great start! He is very professional, reliable, and punctual. He is doing a great job with Rosie, even was patient with her when she was a little apprehensive at first with a new dog walker.”

“My husband and I work long days during the week which leaves our pouch, Dunkel, on his own for most of the day. Knowing Angela is exercising Dunkel and showing him some attention and love gives us peace of mind. It really is the best solution. Angela is great with our dog - fun, attentive and caring. Dunkel looks forward to his walks and the chance to play with his new neighborhood pup-buddies. We get a report, complete with photos and a brief description, after each walk. Angela has been fantastic and we would highly recommend her. ”

“Matthew is energetic, enthusiastic, on time, kind, and loves dogs. My 14 mo old lab, Jerry, is full of energy and determination and is very strong and Matthew knew just how to handle him. Jerry was so happy to see him every morning! I have only high praise and deep gratitude for Matthew.”

“Veronica has a special gift with my Akita girl Koji. She is absolutely tuned into a very emotionally intelligent 85 lb machine. We used her all during construction season for months. We HIGHLY recommend Veronica!”

“Mia took great care of our five-year-old dog, walking him twice per day. She communicated pick-up times and was very responsive to answering messages. My dog can be reactive to people and pets while on leash, but he immediately went to her on our meet-and-greet. I would definitely book her again and encourage you to consider her!”

About: The first pets I ever sat were my neighbors horses. Soon after, a forest fire came through and I had people bringing me wild rabbits and birds to rehab. The critters have gotten much more standard since - cats, rodents, birds, reptiles, and aquatic friends. My own cat is an old curmudgeon with sad kidneys so I know how important food quality and consistency is. I know not to overfeed fish and can do partial water changes if you'd like. I work a desk job at a nonprofit by day and frequently volunteer for a different nonprofit by night. These take me across a decent swathe of the city including Hillsdale, Brooklyn, Woodstock, Laurelhurst, and Montavilla. Show me your routine and I'll keep it consistent. I don't allow dogs to jump on me and there are dogs that sit only for me. I have been told that my love language is competence and I love every critter in my care. For house sitting stays, I may bring a guest by for extra company, depending on the critter.

“McKenzie is great! Confident even with my dog who can exhibit dog aggression and I can tell she really gets joy from spending time with Cully. Have booked her for ongoing walks and am thrilled to have her care for my dog. She communicates timely and intentional and is punctual as well when arriving for her walks.”

About: I have a very positive personality that I bring out in all work that I do. I am a practicing Speech Language Pathologist with a 3 year old pup of my own—Louie. I have taken care of pets through rover, as well as used it for my own pet care needs. I moved around the Portland area a bit, so I took a break from Rover, but now my life is more settled and I’m happy to take your fur-babies on walks, or drop in! I live in Mountain Park and would be happy to cover any “last minute” dog needs that you have. My schedule will allow for 1-3 walks/drop in visits per day. My most availability is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I pride myself in being thorough and paying attention to detail. I will follow any and all instructions that you provide. Having a dog of my own, I can supply poop bags and treats if necessary.

About: After taking a break from pet sitting to focus on a full-time job, I’m so excited to be back doing what I love most — caring for pets! I have several years of experience walking dogs, providing playtime, and keeping pets happy and healthy while their owners are away. Whether it’s trips to the park on sunny days, indoor play on rainy afternoons, or a relaxed walk around the neighborhood, I make sure your pets get the exercise and attention they need. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting. I’m available mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and I have my own car for safe and easy pet transportation. I’m happy to follow your pet’s specific routines to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. Reliable, responsible, and passionate about animals, I treat every pet as if they were my own — so you can feel confident they’re in great hands. Pet care fits easily into my routine because my schedule is currently wide open and flexible. Being unemployed at the moment means I can work around each client’s needs, whether that’s early mornings, midday check-ins, or evening walks. I enjoy planning my days around giving pets the time, attention, and exercise they deserve. I care for pets in their own home to keep them comfortable in a familiar environment. During walks, drop-ins, or house sitting, I follow the owner’s instructions closely — making sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise, and enjoy playtime and companionship. I also keep their space clean, follow any established routines, and provide updates so owners know their pets are happy and well cared for.

About: I’ve had dogs (German Shepherds) my whole life. We had to say goodbye to our 13 year old Shepherd, Lucy, not too long ago. Since then we have really enjoyed dog sitting our friends’ dogs and thought we might as well sign up on Rover to help more people with their furry family members. I currently work from home all but two days per week and my husband works from home those days so we are available for multiple walks per day and lots of pet snuggles! We live in a safe, family friendly neighborhood on a cul de sac with minimal traffic, have a fenced yard, access to Mt. Park trails out our backyard and Tryon Creek State Park is a few minutes away. Our daughter is 10 and LOVES animals. All three of us are big time DOG LOVERS!

Kelly T.
“I used to fill the robot feeder and go away for the weekend without a second thought. My cat was always a little stressed/weepy and clingy when I'd come home. I went away for a full week and had Kelly come over every day to keep him company. When I finally got home, Zim couldn't care less. I'd call that a success! Kelly even rescued my potted fiddleleaf fig. It was down to two very curled leaves on a 5ft stem. She knew what it wanted and it had a big new leaf a month later.”

Jess G.Star Sitter

I really appreciate Ashley. She hung out with my pup during the heat wave and made sure he stayed hydrated. Most importantly, Ashley notified us when she noticed our pup wasn’t being himself and we got the care we needed to for him. She’s a great communicator and I would love to have her again.

Monica was very sweet with our little girl, showed up on time, and payed attention to details. We live in a condo with several different instructions on how to get int to the place and a gate code to leave and enter back onto the property. She never asked questions after the instructions were given! She got “it” the first time. She is bright and attentive, and again was very good to our little dog! I will have her back when I need a dog walker OR house sitter.

Kerensa is amazing! She keeps me posted on how my pups are doing - even the little guy who hasn't been able to go on walks lately. She is kind, compassionate and understands pups and is just a super decent human which we need more of! Thank you Kerensa! I appreciate you so much :-)

Kennedy was great with Bella and Violet. She was on time, communicated well and the dogs and I enjoyed her. She has such a wonderful personality for this type of work and I was quite impressed with her first visits with my dogs. They felt safe and well cared for with her and I did as well.

Debbie was a wonderfully reliable and attentive walker for Salchicha, my 26 lbs mixed breed dog reactive doggo. She thoughtfully sent me photos and updates and gave him (with permission) treats after walks, and she handled him beautifully around other dogs. Thank you so much!!! ❤️

Abdallah was super communicative and very friendly! My dog had a great time on his walk, and Abdallah was thoughtful enough to ask about a towel and get Bear dried off afterwards, which I had completely spaced on. Oh, and I got some really cute pics! SO helpful on a busy day.
