“Marcy was fantastic! We would highly recommend her for her loving, caring and conscientious sitting of your furry loved on! Our dog felt loved and truly cared for. Marcy goes above and beyond the call of duty. We are so thankful we found Marcy!”

“Lindsey was great. She made time to meet my husband and I along with our dog Maggie the day before she actually took care of Maggie. She then kept us informed with how things were going with Maggie while we were involved in our activities in Estes Park. When we returned home that evening, Maggie was very content so we knew things had gone well. Thanks, Lindsey. You gave us peace of mind while we were away from Maggie.”

About: Being outside a lot, having a vehicle able to bring with and transport pups to really great spots and back. I do really love dogs a lot, but just a great attitude goes along way. Really just enjoy the experience, time, and friendship. With the amount of care and consideration I put into my daily life and routine, I aim to have the compassion and respect as you do for your pets and home. Always on leash unless other wise given an okay, fed at the particular times upon request, contained at home in provided kennels if need be. For me, keeps me busy, meeting everyone, exercise, and just great time shared. Pretty new to this website and area while giving me a chance to learn all about the things to come and destinations to be had. I have pets and watch pets for friends as they are fire fighters and police officers who work long shifts so along with my own pets I just bring everyone along I have a nice 3 bedroom with lanai and walk my pets two to three times per day. Once morning, afternoon and before bed. Feeding usually 2 times per day usually requires for special needs

About: grew up around dogs my whole life and have been the go-to pet sitter for neighbors, friends, and family for years. I spend my summers doing conservation work in the rockies so i’m used to long days outside so your dog will actually get worn out. Comfortable with all sizes and energy levels, and i’ll always send updates so you’re not left wondering. I work monday through thursday and get off around 5, so i’m free thursday evenings through sunday every week. that means i’ve got a solid chunk of time each weekend to give dogs real attention, not just a quick check-in between other stuff. I take it seriously and keep things low-stress. i’ll always make sure your dog is secure, fed on their normal schedule, and gets outside enough. i’m used to being outdoors and active so walks and playtime are no problem. i’ll keep you updated with how things are going so you’re not left guessing.
About: Hi everyone! My name is Sophia and I would love to care for your pet no matter how big, small, young or old. I live in Estes Park, CO. I have 6 years of experience working with animals. I have worked in a vet clinic before, dog sat for multiple families before, volunteered at animals shelters and a therapeutic horseback riding center. I have experience administering medication as well. I will make sure your pet has all of their (and your) needs met. I am willing to meet your pet beforehand just to make sure you find the right fit for them! Contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I am a part time photographer so my schedule is flexible! I update my calendar on Rover daily. I would love to work something out that fits you and your pets needs best! I have experience dog sitting for multiple families in town and most of them are repeat clients. All of the families have different needs to be met and I am accommodating to all concerns.
“Sarah did a wonderful job. This was our first time using Rover and we were a little apprehensive about leaving our two dogs and two cats with someone we didn’t know. Sarah was knowledgeable and great with our pets and kept us updated with several photos and short briefs a few times each day. Highly recommend! We’ll definitely ask her to housesit again.”

“AmberLynn was amazing. We initially reached out to her to watch Karl while we attended the Highlands Festival, but she really made a huge impact on our trip when my GF was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and had to go into emergency surgery. AmberLynn not only showed up at a moment's notice and then did a great job, she put both of our minds at ease and made sure that Karl had a great day. She did a phenomenal job, and we'll hire her again next year, hopefully under less stressful circumstances. 10/10 dog sitter.”

“Callen was amazing!!!! Our regular sitter backed out last minute & Callen totally came through. She will be our go-to sitter now! She came over the day before we left to meet the animals, stayed in our house for a week, & sent us pictures & updates of the animals while we were gone. She made me feel so comfortable leaving our fur babies! When we got home, the house was impeccable—better than before we left! You can tell she really loves animals & followed all of our instructions. She checked with us before having a friend over (we said yes!) & was very respectful of us, our animals, & our home. I would highly recommend using Callen as your pet sitter!”

“As always Patty was/is awesome. Maggie and I don't know what we would do without her. Maggie sat watching the front door yesterday waiting for her Best Friend Patty to come back! Thank you Patty for such good care you take of Maggie and our home!”

“Lysianne took wonderful care of my two cats while I was away for 4 days. She sent me pictures of them often and when asked, she let me know everything was okay with them. Would certainly seek her out the next time I needed a cat sitter!”
“Shawn took great care of my 2 dogs and 2 cats; especially my one dog who is reactive towards other dogs. He gave updates and pictures and made me feel better about leaving them with someone while I went home. He also was super helpful and flexible by being able to watch them an extra day when my flight had to be rebooked to the next day due to delays. If I didn’t travel for work (I’m only here for another 2 weeks) I would absolutely rebook with Shawn.”

“Lewis was a wonderful dog sitter! Our dogs were well taken care of, and he left our house clean and tidy. He provided ample updates so we didn't have to worry about our dogs while we were away. He also watered some plants for me. We'll certainly use him again!”

“Matt was absolutely fantastic! He took excellent care of my pup and my home. Frannie had such a great time going on walks, getting lots of pets and loving, and snacking on some tasty treats. I will absolutely be booking again with Matt in the future.”

Lila was fantastic! She made time for a meet&greet in advance to make sure we were a good fit then she volunteered to stop by again before our vacation to make sure the dogs would remember her and be ready for her visit. She stayed with them 3 days with no issues, responded quickly when I checked in and left the house just as she found it. I highly recommend her!! Thank you Lila!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Estes Park on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 2,115 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Estes Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Estes Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Estes Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Estes Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Estes Park. On Rover:

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
